Chapter 30:Next morning both Arjun and Sakshi were disturbed. The events that took place last night, the revealations, the emotional breakdowns all were enough for their current mental states.
But other than that there was an layer of guilt that enveloped them. Arjun still felt guilty for that incident, due to which he thought he didn't deserve Sakshi. Sakshi felt guilty because she thought Arjun had to go through this incident because of her. And now he was in a trauma which she didn't know how to cure.
Time changes everyone, once an introvert girl who kept her secrets to herself now couldn't stay with such a heavy heart for long. She wanted to share her heart content with her best friend, her family but she also knew that Arjun doesn't like sharing his personal things.
Advay who is Arjun now, doesn't want any one else to suffer because of him. He feels whenever anything around him goes wrong he's at fault. He was not like this he loved talking, but since destiny snatched away the people he used to talk to he became quiet. He no longer shared his sorrows, he kept every thing to himself and never let any one understand what was going inside him.
Sakshi was surfing through the tv channels, not a single show could give her peace. Finally she stopped when she saw others getting ready to leave for office.
Arnav and Arman asked Arjun if they would shift back to their home or not. To which Arjun Said that they can surely go if they want, but he'll stay here. Same goes with Sameer and Ayesha they asked about shifting back but this time Sakshi and the Raichands stopped them. They became a family in just few months, and since their actual family didn't reside in Mumbai they were requested to stay with them. And now all the immigrants of the Rawte house stayed there with the new formed family.
Sakshi herself would be leaving, all had got back and resumed their jobs except Arjun. He was on leave. He still needed time to figure out what to do next. But the recent event had taken a toll on him. 10 years ago he had gotten an offer to continue his studies and then work, or research in a much demanded premier institute. But things were not same now.
All were at the dining table, Ridhi and Arnav were discussing about Arman's weird habits and the other three were discussing about the present case they were dealing with. And Sakshi was thinking how to pull Arjun out of this guilt phase, otherwise he might slip into acute depression.
Arjun was still in his room pondering over what took place last night. He actually felt better after sharing his heart content with Sakshi. But he didn't know what to do next. His life felt very void and there was a constant guilt nagging behind him. He wanted to get rid of it. The only way he knew, was to divert his focus on something else. He thought about joining his duty once again that way he'd be immersed in work and will get less time to think about these things.
He couldn't sleep at night, the drugs he used to take to stay awake was now causing an adverse effect on him so he had stopped using that. Last night he suddenly woke up due to a nightmare, which was actually the harsh reality for him. But he didn't move otherwise it would have woken Sakshi, who was on the couch. His thoughts went to that person, who could actually advise him at this point.
Thinking about baba one thing came to his mind what the Singhanias said. "We agree we wanted to finish him. But we didn't do it. Someone else killed him." That time he didn't believe them since he thought they were lieing, for that matter no one did, but now on having second thoughts he could see there are many things which are still hidden, and he didn't notice it. He decided that joining back would be the best option as his work was not over yet.
He went to the dining and found every one there. Seeing him up all wished him good morning. And he just faked a smile for them. Once seated on his place he avoided having eye contact with Sakshi. He knew in front of her this happy facade of his would vanish and he'd not be able to restrain himself.
He had always wished for someone to share his sorrow, but at that time he didn't have any one and now when he has people, he has forgotten how to share it.
All were glancing at him through the corner of their eyes. And he knew very well about that. So he decided to break the news to all.
Arjun: I was thinking to rejoin...
Sameer didn't even for him to complete. And his excitement was evident in his voice.
Sam: that's great.
Arman who was also working at ETF now was excited about the thought of working with his brother.
Arman: yeah. You should join soon. When are you joining today?
Arjun: no I was just thinking, if it's okay then from tomorrow.
Every one was happy that finally Arjun was getting over the past and moving forward. Little did they know about the storm residing within him which was ready to explode. Sakshi was quite surprised with the sudden change of decision.
What she analysed last night that Arjun was in no condition to do work and now accepting the duty. She knew he was escaping from the problem. Then she was worried about his health too.
After breakfast Every one left, Sakshi tried to have a talk with her husband but couldn't reach upto him.
Arnav was in the headquarters he had just finished a meeting with the police officials and was now going through previous case files which he had missed.
At that moment one police inspector came and handed over the video camera he had asked for. He was waiting for it. Today in the morning, he was happy to see Advay moving on but he didn't want him to be in all these. So he wished that they'd finish this case soon so that he doesn't have to enter in it again.
He switched on the camera and what he heard was enough to send him in coma again.
