I don't know why she left. I just remember that one day it was suddenly just my father and me. And the empty house. She left without saying goodbye. All that was left behind was her familiar smell that lingered in the house even after she left. She left behind the echoes of her laughter that seemed to follow me around wherever I went. She left behind her smile that still lurk in the corners. She left behind her voice that was so full of life. She left behind the sound of her jingling bangles that always adorned her hands.
