Mr Suryakant Rawte

A respectable industrialist from Kolhapur. Arjun and Anjali's dad and Sunaina's husband. His first wife died when Arjun was just 10 years old and as he didn't want to impose a step-mother on Arjun, he raised Arjun alone with good values which reflected in Arjun's character as he joined IPS. Though he was a bit upset that Arjun chose to be and IPS officer instead of joining him in business, he supported Arjun in his decision and was always proud of his son and his achivements.

When Arjun turned 18 and left the small town Kolhapur to pursue his dreams, Mr Rawte felt very lonely. For the first time after his wife's death he felt a void in life. He was very vulnerable and couldn't resist the charm of his young and beautiful Personal Assistant Sunaina who was very caring towards him. He proposed her to get married to him and she accepted. The got married soon and had a daughter Anjali.

He knew Arjun had accepted Sunaina for his sake and Sunaina too was a bit hostile towards Arjun. But he never interfered between them because that would have made him to take sides which he never wanted to do, as both were his dear ones. Moreover, he understood their state of mind. He understood how difficult it was for a teenager to give his mother's place to someone else all of a sudden and how it felt for a young woman to accept a boy few years younger to her as her son and be accepted only as a second woman in her husband's life.

Just like he loved his son Arjun, he doted on Anjali too. She was an apple of his eye. Their relationship was the proof that no one can understand a man more than his daughter. He wanted the best for her. He knew that he was too old when she was born but was never worried for her because of her bond with Arjun. Though they were half siblings, it never reflected in their relationship.

Arjun had promised Mr Rawte that he will take care od Anjali just like his own daughter in all the situations.

Mrs Sunaina Suryakant Rawte.

Though Arjun respected her, she was still a bit reluctant to accept him as Mr Rawte's past and adding to it was her pain to be known as second woman in Mr Rawte's life.

She was jealous of Arjun and the only way she could think to be equal to Arjun's mother was to bear a son to Mr Rawte. She was a bit disappointed when Anjali was born and was depressed and frustrated when Mr Rawte refused to have another child after Anjali. This made her hate Arjun and this hatred grew as she saw Arjun and Anjali bonding.

She is not evil, but just under the influence of the way she was brought up in a conservative middle class household.

Anjali Suryakant Rawte

ya Samjhaun" in his style and tried to copy his mannerisms. She had a very healthy bonding with her dad too. She usually frowned at her mother's strict nature.

Even at this young age she is very mature and she knew that hers was not a normal family. Her mother and brother were not on very good terms and this worried her father. She always tried to cheer up her father whenever she found him worried.
