Chapter - 4

Blood or water

She doubtful answering that question she didn't want her brother to get arrest and live his whole life with guilt.

Riya ' i know it's not easy for you but you are betraying him.

Rathore ' meh wada karta hu aap se uss ki saza kam se kam kar ne ki koshish karunga.

Arjun ' kya aap chahti ho ki woh umrbhar aise hi bhagta rahe.

Koyal ' mujhe sach meh nahi pata, even i'm trying his cell.

Suddenly they heard noise from outside when they run out side prabhat was there, he saw then start running team followed him. He entered in house from back door chotu was ahead from team with rathore and arjun. He went up stair entre terrace lock door form inside, chotu stop there for moment for next orders for chief as rothore and arjun reached there, rothore sign him he smash the door in single kick. It was quite huge terrace as they spread arjun spotted him on water tank.

Arjun ' prabhat chipna bekar hai niche utro.

Prabhat ' leave me alone or else, i'll jump.

Arjun ' dekho hum sab tumhari saza kam karne ki koshish karenge uttar jao.

Arjun signed rathore while nodded in answer; plan was arjun keep prabhat busy in talking so that rathore can catch him from back of the tank.

Prabhat ' chale jao warna meh jaan de dunga.

Arjun ' apni behen ke bare meh socho uss pe kya gujregi. Tumhare baba jo ek sacche insaan the unka kya? Woh khush hoge in sab se?

Prabhat ' kuch sunna nahi mujhe ye sab aap ki chal hai. Aap mujhe fasana chahte hai.

By this rathore was already reached of near prabhat and about to grab him when koyal came up as she scream seeing prabhat, as he turned saw rathore behind and loosed his balance fell down from tank. Team reach down in moments prabhat was covered with his blood shree checked his pulse but there was no sign of life.

Koyal loosed herself bend on her knees in shock crying and screaming vigorously riya hugged and consoling her. After a while Rathore called ambulance for taking prabhat's dead boby while some lady constable's was arrested koyal taking her in police car.

She stopped where ETF was standing joined her hand slightly bend down her head said in mellow voice.

Koyal ' mujhe maff kardigiye sir aaj maine apne badle ki waje se apna bhai bhi kho diya. Par aap uss ganagadhar ko mat chodeyega mere baba ke adhure kaam ko pure kariyega un sab logo duniya samne lake unhe kiye sajha dene. Mujhe monish ki maut ke baad jo paisa mila woh bhi meh kisi Orphanage ko dena chahti hu.

Rathore ' tum phikar mat karo unko unki sazaa milegi is ski jimedaari meri. Our meh tumhari saza bhi

She interrupted him and continued

Koyal ' ab meh jee kar bhi kya karungi sir mujhe jo saza milti hai mile.

Arjun ' kisi apne ko aise khone dard meh samzta hu

He walk away saying this as it remind of how he was broken when he lost roshni, riya was watching it from corner was feeling bad seeing him this upset.\

ETF headquarters

All men sitting in conference room when riya entered in with new paper in hand.

Riya ' good morning everyone.

Shree and chotu greeted her with same smile rathore too nodded his head and replied calmly while Arjun remained silent as usual. Riya ignored him as rothore advised her to passed new paper to shree.

Riya ' finally GB is exposed i can't believe so many big names are involve in this its become headline newspaper and media.

Rathore ' yes riya now income tax department is checking their bank statement and financial matters.

Arjun - estimate amount they found is 400 hundred million.

Chotu ' ye log itne paise ka karte kya honge ek aam admit toh apne ek mahine ki salary meh jeekar khush rehta hai.

Riya ' ye lalch hoti buri cheez once you got addicted there's no way back, and these rich people

Shree ' aisa jaruri toh nahi na ki har rich admi lalchi ho hosakta unhone uss status ko hasil karne ki liye mehnat ki ho.

She said in defence as he himself came from such background even though his family have wealth from generations but his dadu and dad worked hard to keep business in position.

Rathore ' sahi kaha shree lalachi hona na hona is in our hand its our choice.

Riya ' anyways sir maine papers ready kar diye hai, aap signed kar de toh aage court bhej sakte hai.

Rathore ' yes i'll signed them after taking a look of it.

Riya's phone vibrates in her pocket as she picked it up, her lips curl into smile hearing voice.

Riya ' awalekum salam.

And she excused herself form room.

Shree and chotu was amazed hearing her Urdu while rathore didn't noticed it that much while arjun was little surprised too

Shree 'Ye kya tha?

Chotu ' i don't know yaar how this bangle babe turn in muglai queen

Shree ' looks like we got new case

And both passed grin together when rathore snap them on work.

Riya went outside the room still talking on phone and her face was blossom with smile playing lips.

Riya- jee aap ko meri yaad kaise ayi?

Person ' jee waise aap ko ayi this last night hun.

Riya ' par aap ne phone kaha uthaya.

Person ' i was sleeping na toh morning meh jab aap ka missed call dekha toh phone kar tab aap ne uthaya. (he said in chirpy voice)

Riya 'i was busy too cases solve kar rahi aap ki tarha nahi jab court meh hearing ho tabhi kaam varna aaram.

Person ' toh kya aap ka matlab hum lawyer kuch kaam nahi karte sub kaam ETF hi karti hai.

Riya ' dikhye ab aap personal ho rahe hai. (Dramatic angry tone)

Person ' arre haq hai mera aap se personal nahi hoe toh kis se honge miss riya mukherji

Aka miss nakchadhi.

Riya ' aap nahi sudhenge kyu advocate mr Asher hussain.

Person ' ok ab aap suniye meh waha aa raha hu kuch case ka kaam hai meri parso flight hai samzi.

Riya 'succhi meh aa rahe hai ki ye aap ka koi PJ hai.

Person ' toh muhterma aap ko hamare joke yaad aa rahe hai. Ek baar waha aa jau toh Husna husaana toh chalta rahega.

Riya ' thik hai i'm waiting for you.

And she hung up phone smiling to herself. Now everything was beautiful for her rathore declare half day leave for Team before new case came up.

So chotu, shree and riya planned something for them while Rathore and Arjun choose resting in home.

Rathore's house

Rathore's home was quite far from mumbaian crowd and noice. It was row house as rathore entered in his lane watched salute while he smiles in reply. He parked this car in front of house.

He unlock door with keys he kept under doormat he hate carrying keys as he keep forgetting where he left them. he took out gun form holder on his kept it in drawer and slide it. He was tried and stressed so he preferred a cold bathe refreshing himself and chaged into t-shirt and track pants. He made some tea for him and rest on couching loosening up all worries and work pressure.

Arjun's house

Unlike rathore who live away form Chaos arjun was living in most crowded area but still living alone he never breath any relaxed moment since roshni was gone. She decorated whole house herself this house was carrying roshni's ghost within itself. Arjun opened balcony door where he made his small back yard. It was full of plants each of them was fresh flowered. It's one thing he loved the most gardening though roshni wanted swing in balcony but he forced her to make it garden the way he want. He love each one his plants smile looking at them even if he is busy with ETF he always have time for his garden. He keep doing single thing weather is watering plants de-weeding them by him. He was watering them today too when he was rose plant was looking dull and lifeless he took little pot in hand keep in shadow he watered it and adding some fertilizer to it.

He think himself 'life is never fair to anyone weather it's human or plant, i don't know why roshni keep telling that we will make it alright now when she was not with him he was all without life'

Mumbai chopati

Shree and riya was sitting on beach admiring beauty of it while chotu got some bhelpuri for them. They all were eating in same plate laughing and sharing some free moment together.

Riya ' stop it shree let eat it..

Shree ' oye how much you going to eat? What about figure hun

Chotu 'i lovely na we are spending some quality time warna toh ETF is all we got.

Riya ' pata nahi rathore sir and arjun sir kya kar rahe honge.

Shree ' rathore sir ka pata nahi but arjun sir sure kisi data rahe honge.

Chatu and riya laugh and continue there behpuri when chotu's phone rang.

Chotu picked it and hearing something just made him quite his face was full of worries as chotu hung up on phone,

Riya ' kya huwa chotu ?

Shree ' any problem?

Chotu- mujhe jaana hoga ..

Shree stoped him placed one hand on his shoulder while riya took his hand in his.

Riya ' tum hame family mante ho na chotu toh bolu.

Chotu ' par tum woh meri behen MUKTI.. she .. she tried killing herself.

It was shocked for shree and riya he never told them about his sister there was so many question in their mind but first priority was her life.

Shree- we are coming with you chotu.

He tried to reply but riya cut him and said

Riya ' ye sab baatein baad mein ho sakti hai abhi tumhara waha hona important hai

Chotu raced he car as fast he can while shree was telling him that everything will be alright while riya was praying her safety.

Hospital

They finally reached in hospital chotu asked on reception where they told him that she was ICU. They ran towards ICU doctor was inside while everyone tense around her, a peon came outside, shree asked what exactly happened when he told them that she got violent as some nurse forced to eat her food she cut her pulse.

Finally doctor came out chotu marched towards him asked in emotion voice.

CHOTU - doctor meri behen kaisi hai woh i mean woh thik ho jayegi na

Doctor ' kuch nahi keh sakte hum jab woh mili toh already bahut blood lose ho chukka tha. Her blood group is O-negative it rare hamare pass jitna thaw oh use karne ke baad bhi jyada blood legega hum try kar rahe hai aap bhi try kare we need soo warna.

Chotu ' please save her she is only family i got please.

Doctor ' have faith on god help us finding blood.

And doctor went inside.

Shree- chotu fikar mat karo Mukti ko kuch nahi hoga hum hai na.

Chotu ' par kaise suna nahi tum ne shree she need blood but mera blood group uss se match nahi karta.. meri Mukti waha mar rahi hai our meh kuch kar sakta. Kaisa bhai hu meh. Hamara koi rishtedaar bhi nahi hai jo khun de paye.

Shree 'chup chotu bura mat socho mera blood group O negative meh khun dunga.

Shree called doctor he done all blood test on shree finally permitted his blood.

Riya was crying but she wipes her tears sit besides him supporting chotu throughout while inside shree was donating his blood.

Chotu was so grateful to his friends they were doing some which not even a family member done for him. He was orphan but they were on his side like he was their family not by blood but by heart.

Riya ' devi ma ape vishawas rakho chotu woh thik karengi sab.

Chotu ' bhahwaan kya chahta hai ye toh dikh hi raha hai na riya..meri massum behen maut se lad rahi.

Riya ' nahi kuch bura nahi.

They were talking when nurse came out and said they already took three bottle blood from they can't anymore from him because of rules but they need more for treatment.

Thy hard shree's angry voice from inside and as entered in the saw shree arguing with nurse

Shree ' maine kaha kuch nahi huwa mujhe ...i can still donate blood

Nurse ' but its out of rule sir we can't any more blood.

Shree 'toh kya aap uss bacchii ko marni dengi...ye kehte hai aap ke room.

Riya sort out whole thing chotu and shree started called blood bank and other to get some more blood. Riya was new in Mumbai she doesn't know anyone else than ETF.

So she decides to call Rathore sir for help and dialled his number; when she heard Mukti was health became more critical.

Rathore- bolo riya

Riya ' sir woh (she was sobbing but she replied in heavy voice)

Rathore ' kya huwa riya rona band karo, kya huwa hai jaldi bolo

Riya told him everything about chotu's sis and told him she needs blood to survive.

Rathore ' rona band karo riya, chotu need us meh waha aa raha hu mere blood group match nahi karta but i have some contact in blood bank meh kuh karta hu..

Rathore changed cloths and he was on his way to hospital, within driving he was continuously using his contact to get some help.

Riya thought about arjun he might help them but she hesitate because of his attitude; there was not any options left so she called.

Arjun ' hello riya bolo

Riya ' sir woh chotu ki behen(she was stumbling with world) mukti. She told him about whole problem arjun informed her he was on his way.

So far shree and chotu got nothing but disappointment each minute was curial it was counting on Mukti's life.

Thats when rathore entered with a guy, chotu and shree was surprised seeing his here.

Chotu ' sir aap yaha

Rathore ' ye baton ka time nahi chotu le Krishna hai mere dost and blood bank owner blood laye hai.

Chotu shree and riya was happy they finally got blood now she will be alright.

Now doctor began her treatment shree and riya sitting on bench while chotu was standing in corner resting his head on door. Rathore came near him he knows that no words was there to consoling a brother whose sister was fighting dealth still he tried to

Raise his confidence.

Rathore ' chotu (soft tone)

Chotu ' sir aap ..thanks sir aap ne aaj jo kiya uss ke liye.

Rathore ' thanks mat bolo chotu woh tumhari behen han toh meri bhi behen huyi. KYA RISHTE SIRF KHOON SE BANTE HAI.

Na agar mujh aisi musibat ati toh tum bhi yahi karte na. Now relax

Chotu ' meh kaise relax hu sir jab tak usse thik dekh leta tak tak.

Arjun entered in hospital he found them sitting outside ICU. Rathore, chotu shree and riya saw him.

Shree 'arjun sir aap bhi.

Arjun ' chotu ko behen kasi hai shree.

Rathore ' treatment chal rahi hai sir but kuch pata nhai chala.

Arjun ' phikar mat karo ...meh apne sath Doctor kapoor laya hu ..woh aisi cases meh expert hai.

Chotu ' thanks sir aap sab log Mukta ke liye jo kar rahe woh meh kaise chukaunga.

Arjun ' mukta thik ho jayegi chotu. Hum our kuch nahi chahiye.

AS Dr kapoor joined the team treatment was getting more effective it was late night now still everyone was awake waiting for doctor to come outside, Riya was unable to control emotion went towards bathroom as she didn't want them to saw she was crying ever since she lost her mother she was unable to watch anyone suffering from family crisis like this losing your love ones is most painful thing. She entered in bathroom sparkled her face with water but her mother's memory was hunting her and she keep crying on bathroom floor.

Rathore didn't find riya anywhere so he asked shree. He was worried for too because the way she specked phone she was really emotion.

Shree ' pata nahi sir yahi kahi hogi.

Arjun ' tum yahi raho shree meh dhudhta hu usse you stay here

Shree was shock hearing arjun's concern for riya but he remained quite as it's not time to argue. Arjun look for riya in hospital even asked reception just in case if she went outside but haven't seen her he was passing when he heard someone sobbing in bathroom. He opened door quietly found riya crying sobbing on floor and he sits beside her pressed her hand with his riya stared at him. Look down on floor she closed her eyes and squeeze them letting tear cascading on her cheeks.

Arjun and riya didn't say anything to each other there was no word to shared feeling, he hug her from side while riya rest her head on his shoulder. They stay like this for some time after which took his hand back, she look at him with swollen eyes.

Arjun ' ab chalna hoga riya they need us.

Riya ' jee sir.

He gave her hand she took it in her hand and get up from floor. They walk up to ICU shree and rathore noticed they were walking with hand in hand; shree raised his brow and asked

Shree- kaha thi tum riya? We were worrying for you.

Riya ' shree woh meh

Rathore ' she is here just cut the subject now.

Shree gauze at her hand which was entwined with arjun's and riya abruptly takes out her hand from his grip.

Doctor came out everyone surround him dicing to hear positive news and after seing chotu was broken he was unable to get word out of his mouth.

Arjun- doctor mukti

Doctor ' yeah she is a right, don't worry

rathore- Thanks a lot doctor.

Shree 'hum uss se kab mil sakte hai?

Doctor ' abhi ek din lagega usse hosh meh ane keliye.

Doctor kapoor came out he congrats chotu and arjun went to see him off. Here shree and chotu hug each other and shree was truly glad seeing chotu smiling again.

Rathore came where riya was standing, her prayer was answered, she was thanking god for keeping mukti fine.

Rathore- kya kar raho ho?

Riya smile and finished her prayer.

Riya ' sir we complaint lord a lot but its time thanks him.

He curls his lips into smile seeing her FAITH.

Rathore ' god surely going get lots of thanks today.

Writer's pov '

Frankly i wrote this when i was in college and getting bore with lecture. No second thought about it. I disappointed some of you who were waiting for ariya track but as i told you before i want give attention each character this first level to be open. I kept little ariya scene as it was needed i entered new character but keeping it secret. You will get to know about it in next update. Last why Blood or water? I know blood relation is important but when it fails to support you look out for it in others. When we developed that connection with someone we know we are not link by blood, and blood is thicker than water, but we body already has all the blood it needs. You will always need water.

poor chotu... glad mukti is alright... so they can count on rathore n arjun in the need of crisis... it would b good if they show something like this onscreen as well...

and loved ariya scene as well.. reminded me of that shooting episode... too bad shree n chotu didnt see that!!!
