I found it very telling that Anupa chose to introduce herself to Kavya's baby as Badi Maa. She could easily have chosen Maasi, given that she and Kavya have forged a connection separate from that of ex and current wife.

It would have satisfied her Maa complex as well as Maasi also has Maa in it.

Guess all rishtas do indeed lead to, and are via, Meeshter Shah for her.

She doesn’t have any Rishta from Mishter Shah now but wants to be addressed as Badi Maa to her ex husband’s kid with his current wife, this is so complicated while she claims and pretends that her only Rishta with Mishter Shah is bachho ke Pita to her kids but sits with him in all major Poojas of Shah House and dances with him, hugs as Dada Dadi

Funny thing is her kids never addressed Kavya as Choti Maa, she is still Kavya to them and Anuj is still Buddy or Anuj for them not Bade or Chote Papa

This woman needs to get over Mishter Shah and her Maa Hu Ne complex to move forward in life

Anupamaa as a character/person has been portrayed as absolutely one dimensional and predictable. I mentioned in a comment yesterday that she would be the Badi Maa of this upcoming child and she said exactly the same thing today.

Because her only identity in life is to be the mother of Vanraj kids and slave around for Leela's family. 25+ years of indoctrination cannot be reversed by random ideations like cafe, dance academy or temporary romance and bike rides with a flame. Takes a lot of time and all of her ventures have been short term and disrupted by circumstances or those around her. Characteristics of a feudal mentality and the regressive thought being depicted (where one does not stop caring for the lord even after he gets another wife) is not surprising considering Anupamaa's restrictive background along with a sheer resistance to change.

Now that Anuj has abandoned her to go with Maaya, she will obviously go back to her maayka. Vanraj is also claiming to support her now and she won't give up the opportunity to mother another Shah kid. Kavya may end up leaving/dying and hence the child will be brought up by Anupamaa, who will naturally be the Badi Maa.

Her being Maa defines her in her eyes. That is the aadi and anth of all she is. And until that is so, she will never succeed at finding her true strengths and weaknesses. She needs to get a sense of perspective in her life.

With the dramatic lightning split between her and Anuj in the precap, despite his prostrating himself at her feet, we can safely conclude a patch-up is not imminent 😆

She has had ample opportunity and support to actually make a difference to her life, yet her first instinct has always been to run to SH. The concept of self respect appears to be meaningless to her. The vile things that have been said to her by each member of that family has always been brushed away by her, with her sense of duty reigning supreme. And that has never come with boundaries. She allows herself to be demeaned by them time and again.

I still can't accept the entire acche pita feelings she harbours. Baffled from which angle he appears to be so in her eyes. This married man is letching over you and you put yourself out there letting him carry on!

I would keep Anupama far away from all my children much less the one my estranged husband now shares with me.🤦🏻‍♀️

Anupama couldn’t even raise her own children properly but plans on being there to help raise Kavya’s.🤦🏻‍♀️.

I heard it takes a village to raise a child but if that village includes Anupama, Baa, Kavya is better of raising her child in the wilderness.😂😂😂.
