My concern is not whether it is legal or illegal..when it comes to a woman's modesty, you shouldn't think about legal and illegal...my concern was that his reaction was genuine..he is right as a father who should be concerned if his unmarried and 20 year daughter is found in a room with a boy. Lol, we as viewers know a bit about Adhik intention. But vanraj def doesn't know. Also so far Pakhi has shown equal interest in him, its not like its all from his side. Pakhi is looking for reason to spend time with him, went on coffee date with him. As a parent when u see ur grown up kid in that position, it's disturbing for sure, but 1st thing would stop the situation and next talk to your daughter about it. At this age having feelings, falling in love, dating is not an alien thing even in India.

He has no right to slap the guy without talking. And even worse his only agenda is to insult Kapadia, if he was so angry his 1st reaction would be slap him and not drag him outside, spoil his daughter in law function and slap him in front of everyone. That's just plain trying to insult Kapadia.

Do baatein:

1. They have shown 2-3 occasions where Vanraj and Anupama found them together and found something weird. Once during the function and another during night-out. So yeah, adding the two instances in their head, they could have extrapolated it. That's natural.

2. There is a fundamental problem here. Television does NOT show a male and female being JUST GENUINE FRIENDS. Here too, Adhik has been shown as weird from the start. May be taking revenge for Malavika??

A 20 year old is an adult, no one has a right to treat them as kids. It doesnt happen in india because children are treated as slaves of parents. Pakhi is behaving like a kid as the writers are stupid. But parents treating their children as slaves is a black mark of our culture

It (consensual love) doesn't happen in india but honor killings, fathers killing themselves over dowry demands, bride burnings, all happen because of this mentality. And this regressive serial is prompting even more of that

And we are proud of this culture. A culture where consensual love is the biggest sin but parents physically beating children or murdering them to protect honor and dignity is no big deal. No wonder so many girl kids are killed at birth, what a pain to have someone who you need to carry like a burden, protecting their "modesty" forver. No such isues with a boy right? Why wouldn't everyone want boy child with this mentality.

No wonder this is a country with the most crimes against women, when women are infantalized and their bodies are considered other people's property to protect. - can have affair with Malvika to snatch her business and bring anuj on roads in his 50s

Why should a boy and girl talk in front of grand parents and parents?

Did vanraj and kavya sit in front of baa bauji and talk or anu anupama

They were in separate apartment talking and enjoying with each other not in front of their respective parents

Like that if your mother father come and sit in college full day watching you, will you freely talk to even your own gender friends

There is something known as privacy all require that whether at 15 years or 20 years or 40 years

Right age to fall in love?:

Isn't it true that love stories do happen in first year or college, first job etc.? That is because at that age you are bound to have such feelings. Many-a-times such love stories do end up in marriages.

We may have seen many love stories around us where they waited to build their individual careers and then take a step towards their relationship.

As for whether the marriage will succeed or not is anybody's guess. For that matter, what is a guarantee that any marriage will work or not?

The Pakhi-Adhik complications:

We, as audience know the intentions of Pakhi and Adhik and want to, if I may say, be protective of Pakhi falling prey to any untoward incident.

It is natural and it is good that we are sensitive to it.

It is hard for any parent to see their children in such a manner or to see their focus diverted.

Add to it, there is the complications in the Shah-Kapadia equation.

Now what?

Restrictions are not going to help either until the individuals want to understand either. Neither does their age nor does technology support it.

We as parents, well-wishers can only explain to children and frankly, hope they understand.

Compare this situation with Paritosh-Kinjal or Samar-Nandini.

Did they not fall in love? Were they at an "age" or self-made when they fell in love? Did they not meet outside, alone? Could we have stopped them anything until they themselves wished to?
