Yes that is right. Hiranyakashyap's son Prahlad was Bhagwan Vishnu's devotee while Hiranyakashyap considered his own self as God and not Lord Vishnu as God. Holika (hiranyakashyap's sister) had a blessing that fire can not burn her so to kill iranyakashyap's son Prahlad she sat in fire with Prahlad in his lap.
