MaAn Drabble collection: Nuggets of Love

Hi Folks,

I have a habit of envisioning alternate endings/continuation to a scene that has aired. I have been posting several such imaginary scenarios across various threads. This is an attempt to capture those disparate nuggets in this thread.

In one of my recent posts, I had said - Life without love is nothing. Love is one of the most basic instincts that humans are gifted with. It comes to us in various shapes & forms at different stages of life. I wish everyone can acknowledge and reciprocate it when it happens. Thus, begins my attempt to make Anupama reciprocate in my imaginary world.

I had written this when AK’s promos were going around.

Majority of us felt he looks much younger than Anu. I wondered what if their inital meeting were to go like this –

AK introduces himself...

Anupama - "Anuj, tum bilkul nahi badle..." 😊

Anuj - 😳 "woh toh hai.." run his fingers briskly thru this hair and adds "

tumhe kya hua Anu? kitni pyaari thi.... ab bilkul "aunty" lag rahi hai..."😲

Anupama - "Maa hoon ne...." bhashan begins.

Anuj will start sweating and run away from there! 🤣

Before confession, Anu and Anuj cooking in his apt.

AK & Anu are in the kitchen (episode scene)...

AK is peeling potatoes; he is insisting on cooking for her.

Anu - woh sab theek hai... par meethe mein kya hai? 😉

AK - nervous becoz he had not thought of making any sweet.

He adds - "mein kuch bazaar se le aata hoon..." takes off his apron and is about to walk past her.🤔

Anu - holds his hand stopping him from going. 😳blushing she manages to say –

"Bazaar se lane ki kya zaroorat hai? " and snuggles against him😳 they both melt away in an embrace, oblivious ofthe surroundings.🤗

Anuj: Anu!

Anu: mmm.....

Anuj: kuch jalne ki badboo…😲

Anu: yikes! Turns around to see the paratha has started burning. Turns off the flame and takes the paratha out.

Anuj: lo! Karlo baat. Mr.Shah ki tarah, ye khana bhi jal gaya hum dono ko aise saath me dekh kar.

Anu: aap bhi ne…taps his chest with her fist pushing him away.😳

Anuj: Toh, where were we? Pehle dessert se shuru kare ?😉😳

Anu: shyly cuddles against him…😳🤗

Scene: Anu has decided to move out from Anuj’s place. AK trying to convince Anu. She still had trouble openly acknowleding that she was in love.❤️

Anuj - Anu ruk jao na..."mukku" needs you!🤔

yada yada...

ok, finally after a while she gives into their demands .Anu & AK are left alone.

Anu starts humming "bade jhoote....mm.. man mohana.. " blushing..😳

AK confused, bends his head to look her in the eye, flicks his brow as if asking her what she means. 🤓

Anu - aap toh bade jhoote nikle.🤔 sach toh yeh hai ke aap mujhse pyaaa...😳😳

Anu - rehne dijiye....🤔

AK - mein kuch poocho?

Anu - haan poochiye ne...

AK- Tumhe yaha rehna ajeeb lagta hai?

Anu - haa ... issiliye mein.. (he cuts heroff...)

AK – kya dil bekaraar hai?

Anu - haa

AK – aaj lohri hai?

Anu - haan, hai

AK – aaj saturday hai?

Anu - haa

AK – kal Sunday hai?

Anu - haa

AK- tumko mujhse pyaar hai?

Anu - arey baba, haa haa haa

AK - happy dance after confession

Anu realizes what just happened blushes and covers her face with her hands in embarrassment 😳😳

AK comes close to her, peels her hands off,bends his head to look her in the eye.

She nestles in his arms embracing him 🤗😳❤️

Inspired by a song from the movie Aradhana ( bhaagon me bahar hai...)

Scene: Morning after Valentine’s Day confession. Continuation from the precap, they both are in front of Anu's house, he can't believe that she had confessed last night.

Anu: "ungli chai mein..." ( dont remember the exact words)😳

AK: Tab bhi shayad yakeen nahi........ ek minute. Raises his brow and teases... matlab mujhe bula rahi ho subah ki chai tumhare saath peene ke liye?😉

Anu: (blushing)😳 Aisa toh maine kuch nahi kaha, par andar aayiye, mein chai bana doongi😳

As they walk in, Anu enters the kitchen, gathers her hair and about to tie it up.

AK holds her hand and nods signaling not to and lets her hair cascade. She blushes...😳

She makes tea and they are seated at the table. He takes his first sip and makes a face! 🤢😕

AK: yeh kya Anu, cheeni daalna bhool gayi?

Anu: Nahi, maine 2 chammach daala hai (takes a sip from her cup). Haan! shakkar theek hai.

AK: Mera toh pheeka hai. He handsher his cup offering to taste it herself.

Anu: Sips from his cup and finds it perfectly fine. achchi toh hai! and hands it back to him. 🤔

AK: Takes his cup back and sips again..... ummmm! ab theek hai.

Anu: 😳🤔

AK: Reaches out to hold her hands and says - Thank you Anu! ❤️iss chai aur meri zindagi ko meetha banane keliye 🤗❤️

Anu: Zindagi toh meri meethi hogayi aapke aane se! 😳😳😳

They both are lost in thoughts remembering their past and how everything changed overnight❤️😳

Her phone rings - "achyutam keshavam......" breaking their reverie.

AK: 🤔

Anu: sees that Baa is calling her and goes 🤔" baa se baad mein baat karoongi." and mutes her phone 😆🤣

Scene: Anupama’s birthday, she visits the Shah household and greets Baa, hugs her and forces Baa to wish her.

AK is looking at her and runs his hands on his chin wondering - Kaash mein bhi isse wish nahi kiya hota. Shaayad, mujhe bhi aise zabardasti tight hug ka mouka mil jaata

So, let's say this happened -

He doesn't wish her because he's busy or upset about something. She comes and gives him a bone crushing hug, with a peck on his cheek says -

Anu: mujhe happy budday wish kijiye.🤗

Anuj: upset 😳

Anu: Hugs him tighter this time and says, jab tak aap muhje wish nahi karenge, mein aapko chodoongi nahi.😉🤗

Anuj: pagli wohi toh mein chahta hoon....turns to face her, they have an eye lock followed by liplock❤️😉

Scene: Anu hugs Anuj on her birthday

She is resting her head on his chest, listening to his heart thumping loudly against her ear.🤗

Suddenly, he peels her and looks her in the eye. He sees his own reflection in her eyes, satisfied. Says –“Anu… “ shows her the lipstick smudge and they both chuckle.

He continues with a mischievous smile.... – waise, ek baat toh sacch hai. Mujhe itne din intezaar karwaya, waha birthday party mein mera dil thod diya,ab mera shirt bhi … inn sab ka tumhe bharpai karni hogi.🤔

Batayiye kya..… mein kal aapka shirt machine mein daal ke ….

Anuj: Comes close, their foreheads touch…. Anu! Kal kisne dekha hai, jo karna hai, aaj hi karna hai. And right there! They have a liplock.😉❤️

Anu: shyly obliges and slowlys sneaks her hands around him embracing him in her grasp🤗

Scene: On her b'day MaAn return to shah house after a hug and convo.

Anuj and Anu enter the house ... Anu says mithai lene gaye the. Anuj pauses, runs his hands over his mouth and smiles thinking"kaash muh meetha karne ke baad ghar aate. Kuch karna padega...." 😉

Later, Anu talks about who made each of those dishes. She looks at Anuj, says mere mann pasand mithai aur imli aap laye hai. He smiles.... and thinks "mujhe mere meethe ka intezaar hai "

A bit later, she goes to hand him the imli candy. She puts out both her hands closed in a fist and signals him to pick one.😊

Anuj chooses her left hand. She smiles andsays....'kholke nahi dekhenge?"😳

His eyes still fixed on hers, slowly opens one finger at a time and finds it empty. He looks at her hands and sees a smiley face that she's drawn on her palm🤡

They both chuckle... and he moves on to her right hand. Opens them to find the imli candy. He looks at her. She says - "return gift aapke liye".😳

He nods indicating he doesn't want it. Instead,he grabs her wrist with one hand and runs his other hand over his chin, as if he has some naughty idea running in his head🤓

Anu gets nervous, worried that someone will seethem holding hands.

Anu: ye aap kya kar rahe hai? Mera haath chodiye.😳

Anuj: Nods his head in negation not budging

Anu: Anuj! Chodiye ne.... Koi dekh...🤔

Anuj: pulls her close...😉

Anu: ye kya bachpana hai....chodiye 😲

Anuj: tumhare mann pasand mithai toh tumhemil gayi. Mujhe jo chahiye...usska kya?❤️

Anu: aapko jo pasand hai, woh de doo? She comes closer. 😳

Anuj: nods in agreement,

Anu: pakka? Soch lijiye...de doo? Comes still closer. ...😳😳

Anuj: heaves a sigh in anticipation...

Anu: looks behind his shoulder and screams... kaaka!! 😲

Anuj: nervously lets go of her hand and turns his head.

Anu: swiftly tip toes to reach him to plant a peck on his cheek and runs away😉

Anuj: 🤔

Not an original idea, but from some movie.

Scene: Still her b'day night. Rakhi had left after creating a scene.

Anu: feeling sad. aap Rakhiji ki baat ka bura mat maaniyega. Mein issliye chup rahi taki tamasha aur bada na ho.😒

Anuj: Also feeling sad that Anu didn’t speakup but doesn’t express his disappointment. Instead says – “mein itna kamzornahi hoon, ke ....…. , chodo ab isske baare mein baat nahi karenge. “😊

Takes her hand in his, gently rubs his fingersover hers, “tum jaldi aana”

Anu: aa jaoongi. Aap mera intezaar karenge….?😳

Anuj: of course karoonga, tum kaho toh yahi car mein tumhara wait karoonga.😊

Anu: Nahi, nahi, aap ghar jayiye, mein aa jaaongi.

Anuj: taps his heart, nods taking her leave,walking away from her

Anu: Feeling bad for not standing up for him and the glint of longing in his eyes. Sprints towards him and hugs him from the back.🤗

Anuj: surprised! Turns around and see tears inher eyes. He cups her face, shakes his head. “mein yahi car mein tumhara wait karoonga. I will be right here if you need me.. “❤️❤️

Anu: struggles to bring a smile.

Anuj: aaj tumhara birthday hai, jab hum wapas ghar jayenge, phir se, iss baar Khushi se, bina shah parivaar ke, manayenge.❤️

Thus goes on the never ending Anupama jayanthi celebs😊

I dont recall if it was Arya or Ali who posted the pic. of an image where Anuj is kneading dough with GK (I guess backfrom sept/oct of last yr)

That pic the culprit for my imagination to this scene,

She is standing at the kitchen counter aboutto start kneading the dough. He comes from behind hugs her ....

Anu goes 🤔😳😳 chodiye, mujhe bahut kaam hai.

Anuj: Mujhe bhi bahut kaam(lust) hai.... 😉 mujhe aata lagana sikhaogi?😳

She unclasps his hands from the hug and brings it forward.... they both knead the dough together. 🤗😳

Mid way she asks - "badle mein mujhe kya milega?" 😳

He leans towards her and plants several kisses all over her face ❤️😉😳

Thats how he get his first lesson in cooking.
