Let me preface this by saying, or rather asking, what did Kinjal see in Paritosh for her to make the decision of spending the rest of her life with him? What part of his personality was so impressive that it convinced her to go against her mother's wishes and elope with him? I am actually curious because I only began watching this show from the resort sequence. I would be obliged if someone who has followed this show from the beginning could tell me. Because there is nothing admirable about Paritosh. Zilch. Nada. He's the kind of guy women run away from.

There is such a stark contrast between Samar and Paritosh. You can clearly see which parent has influenced which child. Paritosh is his father's carbon copy and a reincarnation of his grandmother's regressive beliefs, rooted in patriarchy and misogyny. His equation with Anupamaa, like that of Vanraj and Baa's, is based on selfishness. It is always about what she can give them and never the other way round. When Paritosh had raised a finger at his father's integrity during his outburst after the annual function, I had felt a sense of relief. I thought at least someone had the spine to question the pig. But after today's episode my mind went back to something Rakhi had said to Kinjal in the past and she was bang on. Paritosh ultimately is his father's blood. What can you expect from someone who says, "Mummiyon ke dost nahi hote. Aur main hone bhi nahi doonga." He not only has the mindset of someone from the Stone Ages but he also has the audacity to think that he can control his mother's life.

I wish his imagination at the café was reality. This family needs an outsider to remind them of their aukat. They act all high and mighty with their sanskaar, education and their English and their 'intellect'. My mother always says that education cannot buy you class or etiquette. You learn those things at home, through your upbringing. Anupamaa may not have a professional degree or an excellent command of the English language at her disposal, but she possesses a far superior mindset. And that is abundantly clear with the way she conducts herself. The way she didn't make a big deal out of Nandini's infertility or her being in touch with her ex just shows how different she is from Vanraj, Kavya, Baa and Paritosh. We already saw how they reacted during Samar and Nandini's engagement at the resort. And then you have people like Rakhi Dave. All the money in the world but no class. Her definition of class is hilarious. She is no different than those aunties that have nothing better to do than gossip and spread false rumors for the sake of entertainment. Eww. Truly revolting. And of course, how can I forget Kavya? LOL. If unprofessionalism had a poster child, it would be her.

Baa is the stepmother from Cinderella, a true embodiment of evil. She was her true self today. Her attitude and tone whilst conversing with Anupamaa shows that she never changed. Anything that does not serve her son or her medieval mindset is not worth her time or decency. Did you see her face when she greeted Anuj and Gopi Kaka?

Samar had my heart today. It was endearing to see that he has a mind of his own. He truly loves his mother. He will always stand by her, rock solid. When the time comes, he will support Anuj and Anupamaa's union. And I hope he defends their friendship too. He is the only one who has the spine to stand up to his father.

Excellent description 👍👍. Toshu is selfish too. When he had eloped and married , to justify his marriage he had even spoke against his father but now when things r not going the way he wanted , he shifted back to his father's team. All r exploiting anu in that house 😤😤😤

Loved your detail analysis. People look for goodness in others when goodness is their dominant quality. Bapujis mother should have seen Anupama s goodness. We see the anupama that has been beaten and battered by leela and her worthless son. The way in which Anuj savours every aspect of Anupama he must have seen something striking in her. Suffering from several inadequacies the four idiots and the undisputed matriarch of the idiot clan can only notice the lacuna in anupama. Devika, Samar, Sanjay, kinjal, nandini bapuji, GK and Anuj look at Anupamas positivity, her genuinesss, how she trusts others without expecting anything in return.

Vanraj is able to see he and Anuj are like Chalk and cheese he just wants to ruin Anupamas peace and growing confidence which promts her to VanrJ on his eye and talk. She no longer has respector love for him as her partner. She is able to silence him with her response. The journey of Anupa to the betrayal night is one face of hers, till the divorce another, till reunion another and now we see her in a different light and hopefully tomorrow we will see her chandi form.

Paritosh the less said of the bootlicker the better, he ear lier admired hisPapa and Kinjus mom. Now he is toxic blend of the worst traits of hisPapa and Kinjus mom. Now he is gradually surpassing .

I think it has already been said earlier on the forum that anupama was a big part of why kinjal actually wanted to marry toshu. For kinjal the saasu maa was the real deal and husband was just the free spoon that came with the packet of tea 😆

It was only after kinjal started seeing anupama and started spending a bit of time with her that she decided to elope with toshu because rakhi was planning to send her abroad.

And if i am not wrong kinjal had firmly told toshu once before their marriage that if he cant treat his mother nicely then how will he treat her properly. I maybe wrong about this one though 🤔.

The "progressiveness" from paritosh only comes out when he needs something from someone or wants to insult someone to get his way.

The man has absolutely zero morals. The only and maybe the ONLY thing that vanraj was atleast semi-decent at was that he respected his parents. Paritosh went a step farther and could not even do that.

I am not sure why everyone thinks rakhi will kick him out if he ever hurts kinjal 😭. Is that really how low we think of Mrs. Dave 😭. She will make him sweep the dave classes and humiliate him not kick him out easily.

I dont even want to discuss what a fuss and drama they made of nandini's infertility. That was the time when i actually felt proud of samar and anupama's upbringing.

Baa in the initial episodes kept complaining CONTINUOUSLY about how anupama was never her choice and was vanraj's grandmother's choice and soo she will never accept her.

A woman who probably had to go through no torture from her own mother in law and the only thing she ever did was to find a bride for vanraj still keeps complaining about her as though she went through unimaginable domestic abuse and harrassment keeps torturing her ex daughter in law cum maid and thinks she is very soft hearted and just has a caustic tongue. What a f*cking joke.

I wont even insult unprofessional people and uneducated folks by putting kavya in the same category as them. She has a league of her own (probably right under the obnoxious category but oh well 🤪). I have never ever in my life met a woman more stupid and insensible and generally obnoxious as her. I refer to her as a banshee while talking about her to my boyfriend 🤦‍♀️

Like i said anyone who has been in love should know why everyone needs a genuine life partner who they can trust to have their back through thick and thin and samar just proved that he isnt as shallow or stupid as his siblings and father and grandmother. Kudos to samar for actually thinking about her well being and thinking of her as a human and not a robot with no human emotions whatsoever.

Paritosh has never had to struggle for anything. Whatever college fees he required was given by vanraj and the difference offered to pay him back. He thinks everything comes with a price tag.

The way anupama treats others be it a peon at school, the video blogger whose identity she didn't know, the office assistant who served tea or even Geetha Hi fi bai or jilmil speaks of her upbringing and values.

The paritosh speaks to and off anybody has always been insulting exept Mrs Dave. He knows she is well placed financially so he wants to keep her happy to climb the ladder. The day is not far off when she will lambast him in public. Her claim to fame is stamping people's feet, yellow before international participants and equating it to women empowerment.

The way kavya goes overboard at the sight of Anuj and how she has started calling Anupama Anu noticing that Anuj does that are simple indicators of how she manipulates others.
