Anupamaa has no mind of her own. Kuch bhi ho jaaye lekin woh apne Baa Baapuji ke khilaaf kuch nahi bolegi. She doesn't even let her children speak against them, even when they are clearly wrong. Kya logic hai yeh? Just because you are an elder you can mentally abuse your own children? Why do desi people wear this atrocity like a badge of honor? To suffer silently at the hands of your elders? How and why is it acceptable? Especially in this day and age?

Anupamaa has suffered so much at the hands of Baa and Vanraj, she has almost humanized their abuse. This is psychological. It is a survival technique. This was the only way she could live her life as sanely as possible. And now this has become a habit. Aur aadat chootne mein time lagta hai. I am counting on Anuj. I am not expecting him to do the work for her, but to support her as she unravels from the trauma and realises her own worth.

Regarding anupama’s Baa - Bapuji jaap and woh jo bhi kare sab sahi ! Jo bole sab sahi ! Iske uper main hoti toh bawal ho jata and anupama mataji ki aisi ki taisi kar k Leela ki band baja deti 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I really hope they make Anuj knock some sense into Anupama. I am really don't want him to bow down to her crazy ideas of mahaanta and himself turn into a ghulam of babuji and baa and basically turn slave of shah parivar.

He really should help her see the toxicity she is living in and help her get out of it and lead a normal life

Narcissists like Vanraj and people like Baa thrive on having authority over others. Kaavya pe inn dono ki chalti nahi hai toh gadha kisko banaayegein? Anupamaa ko. The fact that Anupamaa lives in the same house as them gives them every opportunity to continue with their ways even though they no more have the right to do so (not that they ever had the right to dehumanize her).

I mean Vanraj keeps referring to himself in first person 😆 and Baa is the first to point fingers at Anupamaa at the slightest of her errors but rarely ever at her son who is a certified chauvinist pig. What did you expect? I for one am not surprised at all. Vanraj and Baa only pretend to have realised their mistakes and changed their attitude towards Anupamaa when it is convenient for them. One mistake from Anupamaa's side and they show their true colours. People like them never change. Anupamaa needs to grow a spine and not give them that kind of authority over her. But that will take time. She has been a victim of mental, emotional and physical abuse for most of her life. This is all she's ever known. She won't change overnight and one shouldn't expect that from her either. Unlearning abuse is a very difficult journey, especially with people continuously gaslighting you. Also, you need guidance and support in such situatuons, which she doesn't really have. Devika isn't always around and her children are absolutely useless. There's Baapuji, but the minute he emotionally blackmailed Anupamaa into staying under the same roof as her abuser and the woman he cheated with, he already did a disservice to her. Basically, Anupamaa needs professional help to change her life a.k.a a therapist. But this is an Indian television show and you need to be very progressive to show someone getting mental health help. Which let's face it, is never gonna happen. Because mahaan people don't go to therapists. 👏

Wonderful post!! Absolute truth. Anupama has been abused in the 25 years she’s been married. It’s going to take time to get away from it all. Her kids are useless. My MIL was abused most of her married life. The moment my husband turned 16 and was big enough he encouraged her to leave. Sadly Anu’s children are useless morons.

And what business does baa have stopping her from going?? I mean, Anupama is no longer Baa's daughter in law. So baa really needs to focus on restricting Kaavya instead of Anupama.

Agreed there was no need for Anupama to wait for Baa's approval but in a way that is how abuse works. That too when you have suffered for 25 years. Even if Anupama moves out she will always have that ticker in her mind ki kuch ho gaya to kisine kuch bol diya to mujhe par log hasenge. But here to she is living in the same house and the same people. Subconsciously Anupama is still living the same old life and I am not sure if the chain will break.

So true and that too living in the same house with the new wife. How can anyone tolerate that?? But here we are made to believe that it is all hunky dory and Anupama in like a snap has moved on.

Anupama's character sketch was always inconsistent Its like voltage fluctuations one minute she is all charged up and the next moment it is all gone.

Agreed when you are living alone you are in your spave you do your thing you dont miss that gap that you might have but when you see other couples people that you know sharing moments and having a happy life you do feel bad. You do feel that empiness. Right now Anupama doesnt see that but when all these people would move on with their life she will feel that.
