CHAPTER - 2

[ 4 YEARS AGO ]

Inside a mansion named,SALUJA VILLA,an old lady was instructing all the servants and allotting their specific tasks.The servants who used to manage the kitchen,one of them asked,"Madam aaj breakfast mein kya banaana hai?"The woman replied,"Mera Akash aaj apne dosto ke saath bahaar ja raha hai ghumne,to breakfast usike pasand ka banaana,vohi uska,ghee mein bane paraathe aur aaloo ki sabzi.Thora zyaada bana dena aur pack kar dena achche se vo lekar jaayega apne saath."The servants nodded their head.The lady was the owner of the house,Mrs Sulekha Saluja.She walked towards upstairs and reached in front of a room.She opened the door of the room and found someone was sleeping covering upto the head and sleeping.Sulekha smiled and went towards the window and removed the curtains and after that she removed the blanket from the face of the sleeping person and on removing,a very cute face was revealed.That was Sulekha's only grandson and the heir of all the business empire of the family,Akash Saluja.After the death of Akash's parents,he was the only lifeline of Sulekha and for Akash too she was both his father and mother,since he could never see them alive and Sulekha brought him up.Sulekha kissed on Akash's face and said,"Uth ja beta,aaj tujhe Rohit aur Vikas ke saath ghumne jaana hai na."Akash jumped up on the bed and replied,"Main to bhul hi gaya tha ke aaj mujhe jaana hai.Thank you daadi.Main abhi jhat se tayyar ho jaata hu,vo dono aate hi honge aur aane ke baad chillana shuru kar denge."Sulekha got up from the bed and replied,"Thik hai aur main bhi tum logo ka khaana pack karwa deti hu aur tera breakfast lagaati hu."Saying she again gave a sound kiss on Akash's forehead.Akash was irritated at this as always and angrily said,"Daadi main ab pehle jaisa chota nehi hu,bara ho gaya hu,please aap mujhe bachcho jaisa treat mat karo."Sulekha laughed and replied,"Tujhe jo samajhna hai samajh mere liye to tu abhi bhi vohi chota sa Akash hai aur main tujhe hamesha aise hi treat karungi chahe tujhe pasand ho ya na ho."Saying she left from there and Akash got up to get ready.

When Sulekha reached downstairs,she found that already Vikas and Rohit had arrived.Akash,Vikas and Rohit were childhood best buddies.They went to the same school,same college,in short they grew up together.On seeing her,Rohit asked,"Abhi tak vo nehi utha hai na daadi?"Sulekha replied,"Nehi abhi uthaakar aayi hu,abhi tayyar hokar aata hi hoga,tabtak tum dono aao aur naashta karlo."They both agreed and sat on the dining table to have their breakfast.While they were eating,Akash showed up in the dining table,fully ready.He said to his friends,"Saalo mere ghar mein mere bina hi khaana kha rahe ho??Bhukkar kahike!!"Vikas replied,"Daadi ne hume kaha hai ke ye ghar hamaara bhi hai so hume koi sharam nehi aati."Rohit added,"Aur hume bohot bhukh lagi hai isliye humne tera wait karna zaruri nehi samjha."Akash occupied his seat and started having his breakfast.Sulekha,while serving them said to Akash,"Akash,dekh ab teri paraai khatam ho gayi,tune achche se business bhi sambhaal liya to ab na tu shaadi karle.Main bohot thak gayi hu ghar ki zimmedaari uthaate uthaate to ab jab meri bahu aa jaayegi to saari responsibility usko saup kar main bas araam hi araam karungi aur apne parpote ya parpoti ke aane ka intezaar karungi."Akash pleaded,"Daadi please,not this shaadi chanting anymore."Rohit asked,"Kyu nehi karega shaadi??Hume bhi to ek bhabhi chahiye?"Vikas replied,"Aur phir ek do saalo mein bhatije ya bhatijiya."Akash yelled,"Just stop it guys!!!"Sulekha said,"Koi galat nehi kaha hai in logo ne.Tu bas ek baar ha karde,dekh na main tere liye kaise larkiyo ki line lagwaati hu."Akash said,"Dekhiye daadi,shaadi to main kar sakta hu par vo kya hai na ke mujhe aapke in ameer gharaano ki larkiyo mein koi interest nehi hai khaaskar ke arranged marriage pe.Main to usi larki se shaadi kaunga jisse mujhe pyar hoga."Sulekha said,"Mujhe koi aitraaz nehi hai.Hai kya koi aisi larki,mujhe bol,main baat karungi usse."Akash while putting the paraatha inside his mouth replied,"Koi nehi hai daadi meri zindagi mein dhundh raha hu."She asked,"To phir bata to tujhe kaisi larki chahiye?"He replied,"Pata nehi,ab kaun kab kaha aur kaise pasand aa jaaye koi kaise kahega,par ha jisdin mil jaayegi aapko aakar zarur bataaunga."They all finished up their breakfast and the servants put up their lunch packets in their car.Akash took Sulekha's blessings and said,"Raat ke pehle aa jaaunga daadi,don't worry."Saying three of them left for their journey.

Three of them decided to go for a road-trip around the country side,Akash's favourate place of tourist since the absolute green view of this was a treat for his eyes.While Vikas was drining,Akash was enjoying the beautiful scenario of nature.Rohit asked,"Achcha Akash,tere dimaag mein ya dil mein kisi larki ki tasveer to hogi na ke kaisi larki tujhe chahiye?"Akash replied,"Nehi yaar!!Mera dil bara confused hai,usey pata hi nehi hai mere dil ke baare mein."They had no specific destination and they wanted to drive as long as they could see.Akash put out his head outside the window to enjoy the air which was constantly hitting his face.Suddenly their ways were blocked by a group of ladies who work by the fields and collect tea or coffee leaves from the fields.The women were singing a kind of folk-song and were marching in a queue.Akash loved that secne very much.

Akash came out of his car and joined that march past not by following them,but beside them.

The ladies even joined into his tune.He came in front of the ladies and danced with one of them.

Akash climbed on the top of his car.

On hearing him,all the workers who were working in the field,peeped into the direction of the sound.

Akash alongwith his friends,went inside the field and just like the other farmers,they too started farming and reaping crops,by folding their jeans' upto the knee and tying their head with a piece of cloth.

While doing his work even,Akash was dancing and singing and enjoying with everyone and vice versa.

A man was driving a tractor and was taking some crops elsewhere.Akash got up in his tractor and drove it with Vikas and Rohit driving the car beside the tractor.

Kachche se, pakke se iske iraade hain.
Ret si khwaahishein hain, kaanch se waade hain.

Akash came down of the tractor and followed a group of women who were carrying pitchers on their arms and some crops on their head.Akash,too like them,carried crops and pitchers and even walked like them.

Naam yeh khwaabon mein kai mitaaye dhoondhe.
Yun hi bahaane yeh kai banaaye jhoote.
Chura le jaaye koi to haaye dil se peecha chhoote.

The ladies too started to dance with him.

Akash jumped into the pool of mud and played with the kids as well as the mud and totally covered with the mud.After that he also played with them in the pond.

After bathing in the pond,Akash again rode away with Rohit and Vikas upto a distance unknown to them.
