Next day early morning Raghav left her room, he woke her up though he didn't want to; so that she could lock the main door and he went back to his room. Later Trisha and Payal went for shopping to a shopping mall, Raghav was also taken along to carry the shopping bags. Payal had to collect her bridal lehanga after trial from the showroom and buy some accessories for her. She also had to collect her jewellery from the jeweller. Trisha went to buy some dresses for her and her mom. When she was trying out her dresses, unknowingly when she was showing those dresses to Payal, her eyes also went towards Raghav. He understood her expressions and he signalled her through his eyes and facial expressions, which dress was better out of the ones shortlisted by her. Finally she bought the dresses which Raghav liked for her. Payal noticed their eye signalling going on between them but Trisha didn't realise this. They paid the bills and moved to a jewellery shop to collect jewellery for Payal.

When they were about to take the jewellery, few armed men entered with their faces covered inside the shop with guns for robbery and kept few people as hostage. Raghav and Trisha decided to handle the situation themselves and asked all the people present there to lie down on the floor. They both fought with the robbers and grabbed them one by one. While handling one of the robbers he noticed that one of them was about to shoot Trisha and she had her back towards him. Raghav left that person and immediately ran to her, called her name loudly and pulled her down with him and prevented her from getting shot. The police arrived by then and all the robbers were handed over to the police. Trisha was shocked because of this sudden movement and when she came back to her senses, she immediately got up. The police thanked both of them for their help and they showed their cbi identity cards to them. Payal was looking at both of them suspiciously and Trisha was feeling embarrassed in front of her.

Payal: to yeh tumhara driver nahi hai?

Trisha: Payal ye mera...

Payal went out of the showroom angrily and Trisha went behind her and tried to talk to her.

Payal: Trisha tumne mujhse jhooth kyun bola?

Trisha: Payal ye mera colleague aur mera bahut achha friend hai. Isne insist kiya isliye main yahan ise driver bana kar le aayi... I'm really sorry, please forgive me...

Payal agreed to forgive her after some time but decided to give both of them some punishment.

Payal: its ok... tum dono ne itne logon ki jaan bachayi hai, isliye main tumhe maaf karti hu. But ek shart par... aaj Raghav ko mujhe lunch karana hoga aur Trisha tum... aaj raat ka dinner tum banaaogi, yeh tum dono ka punishment hai; I know that you are a very good cook. She smiled and Trisha agreed to this and both of them hugged each other and all of them went for lunch.

All of them had lunch together in the restaurant of Payal's choice and Raghav requested her not to reveal his identity to anyone at her home. He didn't want anyone to point fingers at Trisha and she agreed to this. He excused himself for sometime in between and then he joined them again later. Trisha asked him where he had gone and he just told them that he had some personal work. Trisha wondered what personal work he could have here...

They went back home as everyone would be waiting for them. On coming back, Payal came to her room after some time and told her that her elder brother Akshay liked Trisha a lot and wanted to marry her. Trisha was shocked at this proposal and she decided to tell Payal what she felt for Raghav and how special he is for her. Payal was very happy to hear this as she had realised by now that Raghav is a gem of a person; the way he came here with her and has been supporting her all through; the way he saved Trisha from being shot...he would always keep Trisha happy, she thought.

In the evening Payal told her mom that Trisha would be preparing dinner tonight and she readily agreed. She told her about all the whereabouts in the kitchen and after that Trisha started preparing dinner for everyone. Raghav came back after some work given to him by Payal's father and he went to the kitchen to keep the items he had bought from the market as he was told to do. He saw Trisha cooking in the kitchen and was really surprised to see how efficiently she was managing everything.

Raghav: wow.. tum aur cooking? I didn't know that you can cook as well... mujhe lagta tha ki tum bas khana kha sakti ho, bana nahi sakti... I'm impressed boss...

Trisha: tum yahan bhi shuru ho gaye... Ab jaao yahan se warna koi dekh lega.

Raghav: ek shart par... agar aaj raat tum bhi mere saath dinner karo to... warna main yahin khada rahunga...

Trisha: par Raghav...

Raghav: no par var... aaj raat dinner mere saath...ok.. and he went outside the kitchen. She smiled at hearing this but at the same time she became anxious as to how will she have dinner with him.

Everyone relished the food prepared by her and asked her to join them for dinner. But she insisted on having it later after everyone is through with it (she was very nervous about having dinner with Raghav tonight, how long could she deny having dinner while everyone was insisting her to join them). Payal understood that there is definitely something going on in her mind which she is trying to hide from everyone. She helped her by telling everyone that she would make sure that Trisha has her dinner later and they need not worry for her. Everyone agreed when Payal said this and Trisha felt so relieved to hear this and smiled at Payal's generosity.

Payal asked her later as to why she didn't have dinner with them and Trisha told her how Raghav had forced her to have dinner with him; she also told her about the pranky nature of Raghav. Payal wished her good luck for their dinner tonight and went to her room. Trisha cleaned up the kitchen and she arranged two plates for herself and Raghav and took to her room after everyone slept. Raghav came inside the room as the previous night and saw dinner arranged for both of them. He saw this and was very happy to see that Trisha had kept her promise. He switched off the lights and Trisha wondered as to what he was upto? He lit few candles in the centre of the table and she understood that he had planned for a candle light dinner tonight. They both sat down for dinner and he could see from her face that she was very tired today.

Raghav: tum pehle shuru karo, aur tumhe pehle meri plate se khana hoga...ab pata nahi tumne kya banaya hai... main experimental animal nahi banna chahta...

Trisha: Raghav sab logon ne yeh kha liya hai, to tum experimental animal kaise ho gaye?

Raghav: tumhara kya bharosa? Tumne kuch mere liye different banaya ho to? Pehle tum...

Trisha: "you are just impossible... aisa sochte ho tum mere baare mein?" And she had a bite from his plate herself. "Ok... ab theek hai? ab to tum experimental animal nahi ho na? ab chupchap kha lo.." she was so irritated as he was doubting her intentions.

Raghav: thanks Trisha... main tumse pehle kaise kha sakta hu... tum humesha mere liye mujhse zyada important ho... Aur ab jab tumne meri plate se kha liya to yeh mere liye aur bhi special ho gaya...I will never forget this dinner in my life...

Trisha blushed at hearing this and after this both of them had dinner together. He was intermittently teasing her as usual but at the same time he was amazed to see that she was actually a very good cook. Payal was seeing them together through a small gap in the door which was left and she realised the closeness both of them shared. She smiled when she saw their teasings and tiffs and the way they were so comfortable with each other. She was very happy for both of them and she decided to talk to Raghav regarding Trisha. She already knew Trisha's feelings but she wanted to be sure of Raghav's feelings as well.

The next day it was mehendi function and Trisha also had mehendi applied on her hands. She was looking for Raghav all around, its been a long time since he had gone and he should have come back by now. The sangeet had started and she was trying to enjoying the dance and music but her heart was with Raghav. Just then she saw Raghav come back, she was relieved to see him back and she raised her hands to show her mehendi to him. But she was surprised to see a slight grief on his face; he signalled her to come to her room, she understood that it was something serious and she went to the room immediately.

Trisha: kya baat hai raghav? tum itne pareshaan kyun lag rahe ho?

Raghav: Trisha aaj jab main kaam karke laut raha tha to maine Shravan ko kisi ladki ke saath dekha. I was surprised to see this and tried to follow them, he took her to a hotel room and after around 10 minutes that girl came out from the room crying. I followed that girl to her house and you won't believe what she told me.

Trisha: aisa kya bataya usne?

Raghav: Trisha wo ladki Shravan ki girl friend Komal hai aur Shravan ye shaadi sirf Payal ke father ki property haasil karne ke liye kar raha hai...aur...

Trisha: aur kya Raghav?

Raghav: Trisha that girl is pregnant... and Shravan use abortion karane ke liye force kar raha hai...

Trisha was shocked to hear this and couldn't believe herself. She said "to tum use yahan lekar kyun nahi aaye Raghav? Wo yahan sab ko sachai bata degi to Payal ki shaadi Shravan se nahi hogi aur aur uski life bach jayegi Raghav."

Raghav: maine usse kaha tha Trisha.. par usne yahan aane se mana kar diya kyunki Shravan ne uske chhote bhai ko kidnap karwa liya hai aur usne use dhamki di hai ki agar usne kisi se kuch bhi kaha to uske bhai ko jaan se marwa dega. That's why she refused to come with me. Trisha humare paas time bahut kam hai, hume jaldi kuch karna hoga agar Payal ko usse bachana hai to...

Trisha had tears in her eyes hearing all this and she started crying thinking about Payal. She is so happy for her wedding, how will she react to this truth... she will be shattered, she thought. Raghav saw her crying and hugged her. She kept on crying for sometime but after few minutes she realised that she was in his embrace and she moved away slightly.

Trisha: "ab hum kya karenge Raghav... kal to shaadi hai...humare paas time nahi hai..."she said wiping her tears.

Raghav asked her to calm down and told her about his plan. She agreed to his plan and wished that their plan succeeds, otherwise Payal's entire life would be spoilt.

At night Payal called Raghav to her room and asked him to close the door and sit close to her. He was surprised at Payal calling him alone to her room but he did as he was asked to do.

Raghav: kya baat hai Payal, tumne mujhe bulaya?

Payal: haan Raghav...main tumse poochna chahti thi ki tum Trisha ke baare mein kya sochte ho?

Raghav: matlab..?

Payal: matlab ki kya tum usse pyar karte ho ya nahi?

Raghav was stunned to hear this from Payal. He didn't know what to answer...

Payal: dekho mujhse jhooth mat bolna... maine dekha hai ki kis tarah tumhe uski fikr hai...tumhari aankhen tumhare dil ki baat saaf saaf batati hain...you love her na?

Raghav decided to express whatever he felt for Trisha and Payal was very happy to hear this. She decided that she would help both of them in coming together. She asked Raghav to leave after they both finished their conversation but Raghav was very worried for her knowing Shravan's truth. Both Raghav and Trisha couldn't sleep properly that night, they were really worried for Payal.

As per their plan Trisha called Shravan early morning and asked him to come to meet her in the hotel room. Raghav had asked her to do this as he knew Shravan was flattered by Trisha's looks after what he saw in the engagement party. Trisha went to meet him in the hotel room in a sexy short dress and there she tried to flirt with him. He was surprised initially but later when he saw Trisha totally impressed with him, he openly expressed his feelings for Trisha and told her that he was marrying Payal for her property and that he didn't love her at all. She agreed that she would keep in touch with him even after his marriage with Payal, that she also loved him and that they could easily carry on with their extramarital affair without Payal knowing anything. He was very happy to hear this and he told her that he needs to leave for his house at present for the marriage rituals and that he would definitely keep in touch with her.

When he left, Trisha went to Raghav and told him that she had recorded whatever he had spoken in the hotel room and she was also successful in placing a microphone in his pocket so that they could hear all his conversations. (((Shravan didn't know that Trisha was a cbi officer till now, he just knew that she was Payal's best friend from school time. Payal never introduced Trisha as a cbi officer in front of anyone)))

Through that microphone they could hear all his conversations and they came to know where he had kept Komal's brother. They both hurried up and reached the place where he was kept as hostage. They had a fight with the kidnappers there and they handed them over to the police and rescued Komal's brother. They quickly took him to Komal's house, she was very relieved to see him safe and after this all of them went to Payal's house.

Payal was shocked to see them enter like that with a girl with them. All the guests and her family was also surprised to see this. Raghav asked Komal to tell everyone the truth about Shravan and Trisha also made them hear the recording of her conversation with Shravan. Raghav also told them that Payal's brother knew everything about Shravan but he intentionally arranged this alliance in return for a good amount of money from Shravan to pay for his drug addiction. Payal's brother Akshay seeing everything revealed now, accepted whatever Raghav had just now said (while hearing the conversation through that microphone, they also heard the conversation between Shravan and Akshay).

Payal was extremely shocked to hear this, she slapped her brother for what he did and she rushed to her room crying. Raghav signalled Trisha to go and talk to Payal, she needs her support at present and she immediately went behind her. Payal was in an absolutely broken state and all her dreams had been shattered. Trisha tried to pacify her and she was extremely sorry for whatever happened. She was blaming herself for Payal's agony, she also had tears flowing through her eyes seeing Payal cry like this. After quite some time, Payal managed to reconcile herself and thanked Trisha for whatever she did for her. If Trisha and Raghav wouldn't have done this and if the marriage got completed, her life would have been totally spoilt, she told Trisha. Trisha was so relieved to see Payal being so strong and mature and both of them hugged each other in affection.

In the meantime, Payal's father was very angry with Akshay at the way he used his sister for his personal benefits and told him to leave the house immediately. He immediately went with Raghav, Komal and some other relatives to Shravan's house and cancelled this marriage at once. He didn't bother how the society would react to this, instead he was relieved that his daughter was saved from marrying a person like Shravan who was just not suitable for her, Raghav was very relieved to see their maturity. It was rare to see such parents nowadays who cared so much for their daughter and not think about the society's reaction. After this they came back home and everyone including Payal and her parents thanked Raghav and Trisha for their efforts (by now everyone came to know that he was a cbi officer and not a driver, both Raghav and Trisha were sorry for their lie and everyone forgive them considering whatever they did for Payal).

That night Payal and Trisha slept together in Payal's room and Raghav was given the guest room. Early morning next day, they were packing their things to go back to Delhi. Trisha found a packet kept near her baggage, she opened it and saw a beautiful white coloured readymade suit which had a note written on a paper:

Tum white colour mein bahut sundar lagti ho, mujhe achha lagega agar tum ise accept karogi aur ise pehen logi ... Raghav'

Trisha was very happy to see the gift Raghav had given her and she decided to wear it today itself. She got ready to go and Payal entered the room while she was finalising her packing.

Payal: wow Trisha, kitna sundar suit hai... par tum to normally suit nahi pehenti na?

Trisha blushed on hearing this but she composed herself and said "kyun pehen nahi sakti kya? Aaj man kiya to pehen liya"

Raghav entered the room and saw Trisha in that white suit. He was mesmerised with her looks and kept on looking at her awestruck. Trisha saw him staring at her lovingly and she hesitantly turned her eyes down. Payal was seeing this and she decided to intervene.

Payal: ahem ahem...

Both of them came out of their stupor and Raghav asked Payal "tumne mujhe bulaya Payal?"

Payal smiled and said "haan Raghav main tumhare liye kuch layi thi..."

Raghav: kya... Mere liye...par kyun?

Payal: apni eyes close karo...

Raghav resisted initially and signalled at Trisha asking what all was going around? But she signalled that she too had no idea about this. He agreed after Payal insisted on him closing his eyes. She tied a rakhi on Raghav's wrist and he opened his eyes immediately when he felt some movement on his wrist. He was surprised to see a rakhi tied on his wrist.

Raghav: Payal...yeh...

Payal: haan Raghav... maine aaj se tumhe apna bhai bana liya hai...jis tarah tumne meri zindagi spoil hone se bachayi hai...Trisha ne mujhe sab kuch bata diya ki kaise tumne yeh sab kiya... mere apne bhai ne to mujhe apne fayde ke liye ek tarah se bech diya tha... par agar tum nahi hote to mera kya hota? She had tears in her eyes.

Raghav became very emotional on hearing all this and affectionately hugged Payal, his sister; he too had tears in his eyes as he got a sister for him today. Till now he only had Trisha whom he could feel as her own but today he got a sister as well. They both wiped each others tears and Trisha was very happy to see this.

Payal: bhaiya ab maine aapko rakhi bandhi hai to aapko mujhe gift to dena padega...

Raghav: gift... par mere paas to kuch nahi hai tumhe dene ke liye...

Payal: I know... mujhe kuch materialistic nahi chahiye... I just want ki aap abhi isi waqt Trisha se wo sab kahen jo aapne us raat mujhse kaha tha..

Raghav: what abhi!! No Payal...please... Trisha also seemed to be confused as to what was going on between this brother sister duo.

Payal: main kuch nahi janti...aapko abhi kehna hoga... ye hi mera rakhi gift hai... chalo... jaldi...

Raghav started looking here and there and didn't know how and what to say.

Raghav: Trisha...wo main... Wo main kehna chahta hu... Wo mujhe tumse kehna tha ki...

Payal: what bhaiya... Yeh kya wo main wo mujhe laga rakha hai...saaf saaf kyun nahi kehte ki Trisha main tumse bahut pyar karta hu aur tumse shaadi karna chahta hu, kya tum mujhse shaadi karogi?

Both Raghav and Trisha were shocked to hear this from her and looked at each other embarassed. Trisha blushed at hearing this and turned her eyes down hesitantly after some time.

Payal: not fair, maine aapse pehli baar kuch maanga aur aap yeh bhi nahi kar paye... you just don't talk to me... main aapse bahut naraz hu.

Payal went out of the room shaking her head and she was very annoyed with Raghav.

Raghav saw Trisha blushing like this and got lost in her beauty for some time. After some time he composed himself and asked Trisha.

Raghav: tumne Payal ki baat ka vishwaas to nahi kiya?

Trisha: nahi... yeh to bilkul bachhi ke tarah behave karti hai kabhi kabhi... maine bilkul bhi iski baat par vishwaas nahi kiya.

Raghav: kyun nahi kiya Trisha?

Trisha was shocked to hear this from him. He had expressed his love for her by saying this. She was absolutely spellbound and couldn't speak anything.

Raghav held her hand and said "Trisha aaj jab meri behen ne baat shuru kar hi di hai to aaj main tumse wo sab keh dena chahta hu jo maine aaj tak tumhare liye feel kiya hai. I love you Trisha... madly..deeply...jab se tumhe dekha hai, sirf tum hi tum mere khayalon mein basi ho. Main yahan tumhare saath sirf isliye aaya so that I can get some time with you...each and every moment with you is precious for me... aaj tak main tumse apne dil ki baat nahi keh paaya kyunki main darta tha ki kahin mere past ka saaya tumpar ya humare future par na pad jaye. But today I accept that I love you and only you Trisha. I can't live without you even for a moment."

Trisha was very happy to hear all this... today she got to hear what she was craving to hear from him since such a long time. She had tears of happiness flowing through her eyes. Raghav saw her crying and came close to her... Trisha looked upto him and said "I love you too Raghav, kitna time laga diya yeh kehne mein... main kab se ye tumse sunna chahti thi.." he wrapped his arms around her when he realised that she too had expressed her love for him. He took her in his embrace and both of them showered their love for each other which they had hidden inside their hearts for a long time; they felt so complete today.

Suddenly Payal came inside and patted at shoulders of both of them. They came out of their stupor and saw Payal standing in front of them, they felt so embarrassed in front of her. Trisha couldn't make an eye contact with Payal but she was very happy to see them together and teasingly she asked Trisha "ab tum mujhe yeh bataao ki main aaj se tumhe kya bulaau... Trisha ya phir Bhabhi?"

Trisha became very shy to hear this and Payal hugged her seeing her blush like this. All 3 of them were very happy today, after this they had breakfast together and later Raghav and Trisha bid a goodbye to everyone. While driving back to Delhi both of them were very happy as they could finally confess their love for each other. Raghav was all the more happy as he felt he had got everything today... his love and his new found relation... his sister Payal.

Raghav: Trisha tumhare liye back seat par kuch hai.

She turned behind and saw a gift wrap kept on the seat. She opened it and was mesmerised to see her painting in the same suit that Raghav had gifted her. He had got that painting laminated.

Trisha: yeh tumne... Yeh kab?

Raghav: jab main us din thodi der ke liye restaurant se gaya tha, to main yeh suit tumhare liye lene gaya tha. Phir jab tum raat mein so jaati thi tab maine yeh tumhe is suit mein imagine karke paint ki thi. Kaisi hai?

Trisha: its beautiful Raghav... I didn't know ki CBI agent Raghav can paint as well. Tum ek kaam karo, ye side business shuru kar do... but remember ki iske liye main tumhe office work se koi relief nahi dene wali...samjhe...

Raghav: how unromantic Trisha...itne khoobsurat safar mein bhi tumhe kaam hi yaad aata hai...

She smiled at hearing this and lovingly placed her head on his shoulder. He kept his left arm around her neck affectionately smiling at her.

Trisha: ab theek hai?

Raghav kissed her forehead and said "perfect my love..." And they both enjoyed each others company all through the way, the love they both had in their hearts could finally be expressed today. Both of them thanked Payal inside their hearts for making their dream come true.

Hope you all liked the story and hope i could do justice to a light hearted story... this was my first attempt, please pardon me for my mistakes... i have no experience in such stories... Hope i could bring out the character of Payal as a true friend and a mature girl who goes all out to help her friends.. this is how I had planned her character...
