Ronitfan 4 hours does lower your the alcohol level in the body and reduces the content in your body. Excretion begins 40 mins after consumption and hence 4 hours is a long time. Here is the link for more information:

As for Hit and Run, when you take the injured to the hospital don' pay for their treatment, promise to return and never do, don't report the accident to the cops immediately is legally considered a hit and run.

So yes Ronit did hit and run.

The final report will clarify everything..
it's a detailed blood report.. if he is guilty, it will show.. and justice will be done.

@Ronitfan I don't think your getting my point, he waited 4 hours to take the blood alcohol test, he flushed out the alcohol from his system. It will show nothing, if he had done nothing and it was an accident why not call the cops and an ambulance to the scene of the accident? Why disappear for 4 hours?

Things can be explained but when there are so many holes in the story anyone will question them, until satisfactorily answered.

PS: Drink tonnes of water or fluids and the alcohol comes out in your urine, this process starts after 40 mins of consumption. 4 hours is a lot of time to drink lots of water and clear the system.

He had a chance to run away atleast, but he didn't. Instead, he took the four people to the hospital and this was a good thing done by him. About being drunk and all, none of us were with him to check where was he during those hours and took alcohol or not. So I'd like to suggest to wish everything becomes fine soon.

Shruti here is a statement from the victim who is able to talk, poor family. I hope you believe her word over that of the person who has the most at stake to lie about.

MUMBAI: One of the victims of Thursday's accident involving actor Ronit Roy insisted that he was reeking of alcohol at the time of the accident, but police said they couldn't reach a conclusion on the issue till the results of Roy's blood report arrived.

Sneha Darira, along with her sister and parents, was traveling in their Wagon-R when it was hit by the actor's Mercedes Benz. Sneha, who suffered light bruises, was in the front seat. Her father Deepak was at the wheel while sister Pooja and mother Kanta were in backseat. Kanta suffered serious injuries while Deepak and Pooja suffered cuts in the hand.

Sneha said within minutes of their car coming on to the Andheri Link Road from the SAB TV crossing, the actor's speeding Mercedes rammed into their vehicle. The Wagon-R spun round several times. The trapped family struggled to come out of the vehicle when a few passersby offered their help. The family claimed the actor watched them from a distance. Sneha said, "It was only after I scolded him for his act that he came to help. He was smelling of alcohol and even his body language was showing that he had consumed alcohol."

Deepak hired a taxi and along with Kanta and Ronit he headed for a hospital while Sneha and Pooja followed them in an auto. The Darira family could identify the actor as they had seen him on screen several times. Kanta had sustained serious injuries in the accident but is stated to be out of danger. However, Sneha said, "As soon the taxi stopped at the hospital gate, Roy walked away without offering any assistance."

Roy's statement could be recorded only when he reached the accident spot again around 10am. In a medical examination conducted another two hours later, the doctor concluded he was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the examination. A policeman said, "The medical examination was conducted after a few hours of the accident, which could be the reason the initial report was negative for alcohol. But his blood report will help us to conclude if he had indeed consumed alcohol."

Hope this clears the confusion of if he helped or did not help and why there was no alcohol in his blood stream.

Alright even if he was drunk, the hit was a mistake and not done intentionally. Accident was a mistake and can be committed by anyone. I too agree that he did a mistake but not intentionally.

When your drunk you don't drive, it's as simple as that, you call a taxi, call you brother or a friend. This is not mistake, it was an accident that could have been prevented if Ronit had been Responsible. Unfortunately he was not only not responsible but vanished for 4 hours instead of calling the cops. That was intentional, that was not an accident.

Ronit Roy not drunk in hit-and-run case

The actor's Mercedes Benz rammed into a Wagon R car on Wednesday, injuring four; three of them seriously hurt

Ronit Roy was not drunk when his Mercedes rammed into a Wagon R in Andheri early on Wednesday, injuring four persons, the police have said. Around 5.30 am, the 46-year-old actor was on his way to Kandivali, when the accident took place near SAB TV Lane, Link Road, Andheri (W).

The Wagon R ' of the Darera family who were on their way to Matheran ' was smashed by the impact. Three persons, Kanta Darera (53), Deepak (60) and Sneha (25), suffered major injuries; Kanta was in a critical stage when Roy took them to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Andheri (W). The fourth in the family, Pooja, 24, suffered minor injuries.

A couple of hours later, Roy was arrested from his Versova home and produced before the Bandra metropolitan magistrate court, where he was granted bail. His lawyer Zamir Khan confirmed that no alcohol content was found in his blood samples.
Police sources said that statements of eyewitnesses indicated Roy was not at fault. A police officer said, "The Wagon R suddenly appeared in front of Roy's car, and he couldn't apply the brakes on time. We are speaking to the eyewitnesses to find out whether Roy was speeding.
The complainant, Sneha, told the media that Roy was indeed speeding. She told a few TV channels: "I don't think he was in his senses when he rammed into our car. On being asked by someone, he came with us to the hospital. He was driving at a very high speed and hit us from nowhere."

On Friday, Roy and the injured refused to speak to the media. Inspector V Rathod from Amboli Police Station said: "We came to know Roy's involvement when we went to the hospital to inquire about the accident. He initially told us that he was not driving the car, but confessed later."
