Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor receive temporary police protection and personal security post the attack

Actor Saif Ali Khan faced a knife attack at his house last week. He sustained injuries from the incident, underwent surgery, and spent five days in the hospital. The actor who got discharged yesterday, and his wife Kareena Kapoor has been granted temporary police protection by the Mumbai Police.

After being discharged from Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday, Saif returned to his Bandra apartment. According to an ETimes report, the police are providing temporary protection to Saif, Kareena, and their two children, Taimur and Jeh. The report quoted an official stating that two constables have been assigned to the family to ensure their safety whenever they go out.

The report also mentions that the Bandra police station has stepped up its vigilance and patrolling efforts, both on foot and by vehicle. This upscale area in South Mumbai is home to numerous actors and high-profile celebrities, but it has experienced a rise in serious crimes recently, including the attack on Saif, gunfire at Salman Khan's residence, and the murder of Baba Siddiqui. According to the police, even the popular visitor spots in the suburb will be monitored on an hourly basis.

Since the attack, Saif has enhanced the security measures at his home in Bandra. He resides in an apartment complex in Bandra (West). Just days before his return, a security agency was brought in to install CCTV cameras at the entrance.

Saif Ali Khan sustained six injuries, including severe cuts on his neck and back, when an intruder attacked him with a knife at his home last week. Reports indicate that Saif was attempting to protect his family and staff from the assailant.
