What to expect from Sanya Malhotra's action-comedy with Aagaaz Entertainment's Neeraj Tiwari & Mukesh Gupta?

Aagaaz Entertainment is making a significant move into content creation with its upcoming feature film headlined by actor Sanya Malhotra. The project marks the production banner’s first offering from its 2025 slate and signals a shift from distribution to original storytelling for the company.

Producers Neeraj Tiwari and Mukesh Gupta, who have previously worked on several major commercial films, are steering the project under Aagaaz Entertainment in collaboration with Ratpack Stories and US-based Travelin’ Bone Entertainment. The film will be directed by Kapil Sharma, who served as co-director on the series Aarya.

The yet-untitled film places Sanya Malhotra in an action-comedy space, with the actor taking on a character that diverges from her previous work. It also sets the tone for Aagaaz Entertainment’s broader production goals, which include a slate of five original films scheduled for release over the coming year.

“We have always believed in the power of strong stories. With this film, we are bringing a fresh, entertaining narrative to audiences, and this is just the beginning for us at Aagaaz Entertainment,” said Neeraj Tiwari.

Ratpack Stories, part of Collective Artists Network and led by Ashoo Naik and Kshitij Mehta, joins as co-producer. In a joint statement, they said, “We’re excited to be doing this with our partners—Aagaaz and Travelin’ Bone—and bringing together Sanya Malhotra and Kapil Sharma, both of whom we admire greatly. This film is entertaining, well-crafted, and will connect with a wide audience.”

Akshun Abhimanyu, executive producer on the film, played a key role in aligning the creative partners.

Los Angeles-based Travelin’ Bone Entertainment, founded by Naresh Malik, Stephen Garrow, and Marc Sternberg, brings a global sensibility to the collaboration. Malik said, “We’re excited to begin this journey with the brilliant Sanya Malhotra, director Kapil Sharma, and our partners at Aagaaz Entertainment and Ratpack Stories. This collaboration is about reimagining global stories through an Indian lens—and we can’t wait to bring it to life.”

Steve Garrow added, “We aim to create timeless, global narratives that transcend borders and trends.”
