Yesterday, Ajay Devgn and Kajol launched the trailer of their upcoming film "Helicopter Eela". The actor is co-producing the film with his actress wife who is also playing a pivotal role in the film.
The trailer was launched amidst media on the occasion of Kajol's 44th birthday. Everything went well at the launch but this morning, a bitter news about the couple and the film's team made headlines.
Reportedly, Ajay and Kajol and the film's team forgot to mention the name of the film's lyricist Swanand Kirkire in the end credits of the trailer. This didn't go do well with another screenwriter, and lyricist, Varun Grover who took to Twitter to share his anger towards the team.
He posted: "This new film's trailer is cut mostly on songs. They have credited everybody in the title-plate at the end EXCEPT the lyrics writer(s) (including Swanand Kirkire). All you need to know how dispensable they think we are. Shameful."
After receiving the knowledge about the blunder, Ajay instantly took to his Twitter account and apologised for accidentally missing out on lyricist, Swanand Kirkire's name from the film's trailer.
He posted: "We accidentally missed out Swanand Kirkire's name as lyricist from 'Helicopter Eela' trailer. Apologies, rectifying it," Ajay tweeted.
To which, Kirkire replied: "Thank you sir! Very graceful on your part." heart.
He then quote tweeted Ajay's tweet with a message that read: "Thank you Ajay sir for this gesture. Helicopter Eela is very close to my heart ."
Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, the film also stars the National Award-winning actor Riddhi Sen, who will be playing Kajol's son.
Written by Mitesh Shah, "Helicopter Eela" will see Kajol playing a single mother and an aspiring singer. The movie is co-produced by Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada of Pen India Ltd.
