Kajol playfully teases Ajay Devgn for being Maa’s producer, 'Mujhe bohot harass aur tang kiya hai…'

Kajol is preparing for the release of Maa, a horror film directed by Vishal Furia and produced by her husband, Ajay Devgn, with a release date set for June 27. In the lead-up to the premiere, Kajol discussed her experiences collaborating with Ajay as a producer, offering her usual humorous perspective.

In a chat with Bollywood Hungama, Kajol jokingly said, “What should I say about this producer? Mujhe bohot harass aur tang kiya hai isne (He has harassed me a lot). No one will believe it (laughs)." However, she quickly turned serious and added, “No. He was quite a wonderful producer. I have to say that about him."

Kajol also recounted a discussion with Ajay about gender roles. “My husband Ajay ji once told me that you are so lucky. You don’t know how lucky you are; you can become Nysa’s friend. You will eventually become a grandmother. You are a mother. You have been my wife. You have managed all of these roles nicely and naturally. You didn’t have to make an effort. Today, as a man, I have to make an effort to be all of these things." She added, “As women, we are taught that from the time we are children. We are so adaptable."

The trailer for Maa features Kajol in a powerful role as a mother fighting to shield her daughter from a supernatural threat. The narrative starts with a seemingly ordinary road trip that transforms into a nightmare when a strange entity attacks their car, leaving them stranded in the unsettling village of Chandanpur. As unsettling events occur, Kajol's character uncovers a cursed tree connected to disappearances. Ignoring warnings, she vows to prevent her daughter from being sacrificed to break the curse.

Maa also features Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Surjyasikha Das. Produced by Devgn Films and Jio Studios, the film blends mythology with horror, promising a suspenseful viewing experience.
