This morning turned out to be a fateful one for actress Mahika Sharma who had been on a yatra to Puri.

The young actress was molested when she was on her way to take the blessing of the Lord and attend the Aarti.

Talking exclusively to India-forums.com, Mahika revealed what happened to her:

"Today early in the morning, I was to attend the aarti at Puri. I wasn't under CCTV camera when the incident took place, as it didn't happen near the temple that we were to reach.

Things were not that ugly that I had to take the help of security personnel or Police. While we were on our way, a group of people started making fun of me, they started passing lewd remarks on me and making fun of me.

They were yelling 'Porn star k saath kaam kar rahi hai (She is working with a porn star), Afridi ki Diwani hai (She is crazy for Afridi) and what not.

All this while I was ignoring them as I didn't want to create any trouble for anyone as it is a holy place.

However, things grew worse when a guy came forward and started touching me and pushing m and one was also on the verge of slapping me. Looking at the situation my friends stepped in and controlled the situation.

I respect the glory of the festival. I don't want people to think that it's not safe there. I was also pleased looking at the security arrangement there.

After the molester apologized to me, I decided to not file a police complaint. I accepted his apology and went ahead.
