So guys as you know Shruti broke her ankle and this lady right here was responsible for her accident, now she is going to play the main lead with our star performer- Shaurya in this fest season' s stage acts. So everyone please welcome Ms. Mehak Sharma, the first ever nerd in our drama society.

She is a first year student but she has defeated the ex- president of the quiz club and is also the new president of the club and is a B.Com student. Well the level of geek is really high, so guys, she is whom you have to deal with and prepare her for the first performance that is 7 days later. I on the other hand would deal with the preparation of the street play act. So all the best guys and no ragging.

Also before going I want to specify that I am not serious about ragging stuff but I m very serious about the preparation. Start working , it is the order of your soc president and mind you I am not going anywhere.

Chapter 1

Mehak was in the hostel compound, learning to ride an Activa. She had never even been on a cycle without the support wheels and here she was trying to ride the Activa. She didn't have the confidence but her roommate was adamant on teaching her to ride the vehicle afterall they lived far from city and they needed to have a vehicle handy for their weekend breaks. Nehal was a good friend but probably not a good teacher and that's how, friends, the accident happened.

Now you must be wondering, who am I , I am Nehal's boyfriend, the ex president of the drama society of Z University and the one who had to clean a lot of mess behind these girls and the accident. I am Vicky, Vikram Khurana and I ll be telling you all, this amazing story from the last year's fest season right here on our society's farewell party. Now many of you may know it but for all the freshers who shall know the power of true love, it is for you.

So it was the last week of December 2017. Not many of the society members were going home because the stage and street acts were supposed to open from the second week of January and the team wanted to get all the trophies that year so everyone was busy practicing. It was in one of those days that the great Mehak Sharma the current President of the Quiz club and the topper from last year and hopefully this year too, hit our lead stage actress from last year, while learning to ride an Activa in the compound of girls' hostel.

Mehak tried to apply the breaks but she accelerated. It was a pure mistake but truth to be spoken even God was conspiring,you guys. Shruti fell down and so did Mehak and Nehal too. Shruti displaced her ankle and the doctors said that recovery would take her around two months.

Mehak was guilty and Shruti made her even more guilty. There were no official charges registered against Mehak because the matter was all settled. Mehak's father payed for Shruti's medical expenses and gave her the air tickets to her place. Mehak promised to help her in the studies with notes and even help in memorising stuff for the exams. Well I think, her being a rich nerd came in handy. Shruti forgave her but she was really disheartened that she won't be able to perform and some other girl would get her part and then she would be forgotten so she did something to avert it.

Shruti knew one thing that Mehak couldn't act. She didn't even know the 'A' of acting so she placed this additional condition of replacing her in the stage acts infront of Mehak. She thought that it would be like killing two birds with a stone. It would not let anyone forget her and it would also lead to Mehak's humiliation. For not suffering worst consequences Mehak had to agree.

I on the other hand had to pay the warden to keep Nehal away from the matter and had to file a Pre- dated application for keeping the vehicle on the premises so nobody lands themselves into more trouble.

Nehal as you see, the current president of the society wasn't very happy with the replacement arrangement because she knew Mehak couldn't act but even she had to agree.

It was the eve of new year that finally everything was settled and in the new year party of the society we had introduced Mehak to the group. Now I would like to admit that I was kinda rude to Mehak in the beginning but she eventually befriended me. We are good friends now but I hated her back then.

I gave the society peeps permission to rag her and stuff but I also warned them that how they had to prepare her for the stage performance that was exactly 7 days later. She was in the party but that was more like a punishment. Nehal didn't let much harm come on her but eventually she had to leave her alone because she too was with me in the street play group of our society.

Mehak was alone and on her own from Jan 1. The team had given her the script already and truth to be spoken she did memorise the whole script before her first practice. Given the fact it was a lengthy script and she did it in one night was commendable but there was a problem. SHE COULDN'T ACT. At first all these third year guys who are now third year peeps and all the ex-third year people made fun of her and laughed off but by the evening when her confidence was all shattered they stopped and thank god they did. Shaurya decided that it was enough that she was practicing the lines alone on the stage.

Now you remember Shaurya, right you guys. Last year's Mr. Handsome. Well so sorry freshers he has now passed out but you know and if you don't, hey Shaurya show us your face.

(A young guy who was sitting next to the quiz club president a bit too cosy stood up and waived. The girls liked him a bit too much and cheered for him but the boys could see the competition even though he was out of the college)

So as he was the lead actor and the play was all about love and stuff which gets caught in a natural calamity, the scenes were tough and even romantic. Now my man right there was a pro but Mehak who was already broken and sat on the Shambles of her broken spirit and confidence couldn't speak a word. Moreover she got too awkward with the scenes that she couldn't utter a single word.

So now Shaurya might be handsome but he had anger issues back then, now he might be a lovestruck puppy but it wasn't so back then. He scolded her, he scolded Mehak so bad that she ran away to her room, crying. Well her crying landed him in soup and he had to do some explaining to do to the warden and even to your current president Nehal. On a side note I was kinda going mad because I could see my play falling apart and I couldn't even get in a new actress because guys even I was being blackmailed by Shruti that she would take Nehal's name if I replaced Mehak. This guy had to say a sorry and that was something his ego killed him for. It was around 7 that day the practice resumed. Now everyone could sense Mehak's fear and Shaurya's anger.

Everyone tried to play a peace maker and get the practice back on track but it wasn't just happening. Shaurya himself got up, I don't really know what really happened to him at that point but he said to Mehak that he would keep his anger away but she better be some good. Nobody was happy with the arrangement but they had to do it somehow and that how it would be better that she cooperates not for herself or Shruti or him even but atleast for the 15 other people in the stage group so that all their efforts don't go down the drain. Mehak got up from the seat she was sitting and said that she would try her best and not let anyone's hardwork go down the drain but she needed time and guidance to get better and that was all she lacked because the act was to be opened the next week , thus there was no time and everyone was perfecting their own acts thus there was no guidance even. Saying so she cried again.

Shaurya was gonna hang his head somewhere but he controlled himself and took Mehak with him.
