Amazing story . Really very heat touching . Why should not we keep a side the division of india where both sides have suffered specially the women folk as they were the most effected victims of partition . should go with open mind and just feel the pain as human being who does not have any cast , creed or religion . Love to watch this show and please tell me how many episodes . Fawad and Sanam both i have seen in Noorpur and ZGH . brilliant actors .

Thank you for telling the story of Dastaan ,and was curious to see the show , so now watching on you tube . Its quite intersting and shouls think about that time when both sides have suffered . We also have many novels written about that time where humanity suffered and insaan became animal . Amrita Pritam,s boo came to mind and one Khushwant Singh has written and i think was made in to movie . I am more intersted in watching substance than the crap in the name of serials . I am Bhartiya but appreciate when something good is there . We can appreciate American shows , English shows then why not Pakistani dramas .Dastaan ,s dialogues and environment is very authentic of that time . Thanks fr telling the summary . So ironocal that my grand father was Urdu Poet and was facilitated as Raj Kavi in the state . There used to be Mushaira at our hometown where poets used to come from Afganistan ,pakistan . Its about 60,s . I do not understand Urdu . yes get the meaning .

i am sure u will love the show. The show requires a lot of patience and a strong heart. I kne wthe ending would be terrible but i swear by god, i so much wanted to see bano and Hassan getting back together, the suffering by both these souls were too much to handle.

it has altogether 23 episodes..

As i watched the show more becos of Fawad, i will mention some specific scenes of his which i found wonderful and with a lot of depth in emotions.

18th episode belongs to him.
the moment when bano confesses that how much she loves him, and he rubs off her tears, fawad was fabulous there.
The scene when he runs after bano in the 22nd episode and has a convo with the other lady with bano.
The scene with Rabiah where he almost is as despair as to beg her for leaving him.

I have just reached 8th episode , i am more interested in story . Story has been told beautifully . When i was looking the situation of Muslims that time , same was the situation pf Hindus . Its the only common people who went through hell during this partition . So many stories have been written . One was Shayam Benegal,s serial Tamas , perhaps on DD channel about partition . Movie Pinjar , written by Amrita Pritam , told the same story but with other side . Its we people who should be strong and , love and care for each other . Very natural acting and executed very well .
Still to go..

As for Fawad Khan , i do not compare him to recent ones in Hindi shows , yes he has intensity like Aamir Khan . Thanks for recomeding the Dastaan . This Zindgi Channel has done great job to let people peep through each other,s lives which are same both sides .

I do not think its right to compare the chemistry. As ZGH was my first show and recent watching is Dastaan . Both Sanam has different characters and had different perspective to look at the things . I liked Fawad with Sanam saeed where both were very natural and never for a moment felt as if acting .

Thanks so much for updating us with the story of Daastan!
Its not a spoiler, has made me all the more curious to watch the show again.
And another very tragic thing was also brought out in this show, about the victimized women who never get accepted back by their kith and kin with all due respect. Though they had no fault of their own, they were looked down upon (yes, it happened on both sides) and their husbands and even parents often refused to acknowledge them.
I have some relatives staying at Lajpat Nagar in Delhi where I visited and got to know few stories about women who survived and escaped immense brutality, only to be welcomed with despise and prejudice instead of comfort and had to start lives afresh without much support.
No wonder, Bano was not able to cope up anymore inspite of Hassan's attempts, primarily because of social rejection.
I would also like to know what happened to Bano's child, did Hassan and Rabiah adopt him?
Also TM, please update the title of this post mentioning spoilers included, some may want to avoid them 😊
