Dastaan will be very successfull in India ...But if some1 say that only ppl going to Pakistan suffered than it is Wrong. Women from both sides suffered...even during the Bangladesh war.

Exactly! We need to understand the perspective Bano, Hassan and Saleem had when they wished for Pakistan and United India respectively. Bano believed heaven waited for her in Pakistan where her "own" people will treat her with utmost care.

She failed to understand that perverts are every where and the will always find any excuse to hurt others, but so are good people (they did show Ravi's realisation and the Sardar's kindness when he nursed her and dropped her safely to the train)
Her dreams shattered in the pre-climax scene and what she did, she thought would give Pakistan, freedom from such butchers!
Her preconceived notion due to her trauma led to her downfall.

The reason they might not have shown plight of girls in Pakistan mau have been mainly to avoid any political hassles and also to establish Bano's perspective only. If she would have had any such realisation of equal pain on either side, her impulsive act in the end would not have been justified

My favorite one with raw emotions were when Hasan brings her home and she asks him why did not he come to save her while five people were and expressions on Hasan,s face . Sanam and Fawad both did excellent job in that scene .
Just one request while watching this heart wrenching show ,think abot the both sides . I am an indian but have heard stories from that side also . So keep Bano a faceless woman who represents the thousands of women like her where even parents did not accepted them if were protected by other community . Keep your heart and mind open . I loved this show .

Hasan,Bano along with many thought of a nation which will be theirs . Bano was living in the dreamworld where she thought that Pakistan will be without any malice , with brotherhood ,where woman will be respected. She was living in illusion ,her dreams shattered when she entered the the place of her long cherished dreams . There are good and bad people every where they do not have any community label .This was from one perspective but should have shown the hindus women went through the same hell . That would have been eye opener for her

If she would have had any such realization of equal pain on either side, her impulsive act in the end would not have been justified I think it was just to show that perverts are also in any community and that was the last blow for her when the person tried to rape her and she killed him and lost he balance .

Sometimes i think we just hear the patriotic songs blaring loud when its 26th jan. or 15 th August . If today all those young ones who gave their lived to free the country from Britishers , must be turning in their graves . They did not sacrifice for divided India , It was for whole country .
