The old Ramayana was classic. And almost everyone I know loves sarabhai vs sarabhai. It has epic dialogues. And yes almost all my friends recommend rishta.com and mahi way.

These days however there's not a single show which appeals to me

yup MJHT was realistic in bits n parts around 20% but it attracted many teenagers. I cant forget the fact that during my school days 90% of my classmates were following that show. N Maahi way was also too gud n closer to reality of a girl who is overweight.

Sarabhai v/s Saabhai was classic.I also Liked Sanjeevani...it was something different.Personally i feel that indian television was way better in 90s and early 2000.There was Rishtey on Zee tv which was a teleseries like KGBH,Saans which was a story of a woman wgose husband leaves her for another woman,Haasratein which dealt with adultery.I was quite small then so don't remember much. Then there was tu tu mqin main and Dekh Bhai Dekh was my fav as a kid.I have also heard alot about Banegi Apni Baat and Trishna which was based on Little Women. And ofcourse the ever famous Buniyaad.
In the recent times i can only watch youth shows.Mahi Way was good...a youth show with realistic plot.Apart from that i liked Dill Mill Gayye,IPKKND and KMH alot but i won't say that it had a meaningful plot. These were all mushy, feel good serials.

Yes teens were crazy about MJHT haha...I miss those days. It had flaws but the show had a feel good approach...I used to forget all my worries after watching it.

Comedy- Tu Tu Main Main, Dekh Bhai Dekh, Khichdi, Sarabhai VS Sarabhai & Hum Paanch. Classics that you can't go wrong with.

Drama- Saans, Heena, Choodiyan, Shaheen, Astitva, Kalyug, Hum Log, Meher, Kayamaat, Talaash, Justajoo & Alpviram. There was a show starring Mansi Joshi on Sony which was really nice but am forgetting the name.

Mytho- BR Chopra's Mahabharata & PRC. Best. Historicals. Ever.

Chandragupta Maurya till the little boy played CM was very good. The Chanakya was particularly good!

KGBH is one of them , precise with story and about woman which goes for both of sides and when i write both of sides i really do not want to write As our problems are same .

I am not sure whom you are addressing when you say "We have great misunderstanding because of recent shows coming from few years that we never had some quality shows".

Because I feel there is no misunderstanding. The fact is that none of the shows that you mentioned where the talk of the town (or should I say talk of the country) when compared to ZGH popularity. Inspite being quality shows and personal likes of many, they never were centre of attraction. Apparently, it seems viewers as well as media are quite biased when it comes to write or talk about finite Indian shows.

Latest example is the on-air finite series Yudh. Everyone who appreciated finite shows should see what media and the general audience have to say about it (certainly, not as appreciative as Zindagi shows). As much ZGH is discussed here, not even half of that is being discussed about Yudh.
If the readers think I am comparing two shows, then must say, comparison is inevitable. Here we have two finite series with tight-bound script. But one gained huge popularity while other is compartmentalized as intellectual show meant for limited audience. This kind of bias is rather confusing for me.

I am just stating facts, nothing against anyone.

Its not something to get offensive , yes while watching ZGH , reminded the time when we had quality shows with strong story line and TRP was not the boss . And have seen lots of Hindi ones in recent time , starts with good contents , but God only knows why go hay wire with story . Many have mentioned the quality shows of few years back . If some show comes with something different then TRP compels to bring twist and turns and creativity takes back seat . Either channel axe the show . So i am not mucjh in to Hindi ones as after sometime starts looking replica of each other as lifting the tracks . And ZGH is something special where just in 26 episodes how the siblings bonding changed . Mother daughters relations , parents relations and what not this show touched . And i am not little bit confused as fed on quality shows , not desperate for Hindi ones, otherwise comes with quality contents . ZGH is really deserves appreciation . It was subtle , no over the top dramatics , very real to real life people around us .

Agree specially with Vikram & Betaal as have heard the stories and both were very popular with every generation . one was Nupur , story about dancing and Hema malini was in this show . Thank you for coming out with bhule bhatke shows which were very popular because of its story and one was Sarhadein with Zee TV.

I loved the shows u listed 😊Omg sarbhai and tu tu main main was great
But I would say tht we r now getting informed of the stories across our borders there are many indian shows which r reality based like crime patrol and saavdhan india but I believe tht paki drama r somehow related to our lives like I really felt Aun is a carboncopy of my brother so if we r getting new stories new concepts just accept them as one of my paki friend told me tht all the indian dramas air on paki channels and they really love to watch them if they have accepted and respecting our stories so we should also accept them and stop posting posts against zindagi channel and accept the facts tht zindagi channels tag lines says zindagi jodey dilon ko not Toray dilon ko
Plz guys apology if I hurted someone personal feeling but I just wanted to say tht pakis r loving dramas and not posting hatred posts but they r always happy to see new indian dramas because they are a fresh breeze for them😊

Very well you have said . Every one appreciate if something meaningful is there and art is not bound by boundaries . So many forgotten shows took us in the back lane with nice memories . I also have many friends from across the border . . Your above blue line speaks a lot .. I just meant that Zindgi serials took me in back lane where story was the boss .
