Chapter 3

Radhika slumped on the sofa as she shouted for food, her stomach was growling. She looked back at the kitchen, where Dev was making something, something special he said.

"Comin' man have some patience!" He shouted back.

After a while, he entered the dining room carrying the bowl in his hands and placed it in front of her. She smiled excitedly and dig her fingers in, only to get them burn. She shrieked and took out her fingers, before she could do anything, Dev took her hand and blew on her fingers.

"Can't you wait a little? It's hot! how impatient you are!" He scolded as he kept blewing on her fingers.

She looked at him and felt nice seeing his concern.

"I was hungry, you know. I told you i'm new to this human form." She replied.

"Try to be careful, Does it hurt much?"

"It does."

He stopped blowing and looked up at her, how can he forget her healing powers.

"Why don't you use your power, you healed my wounds, right?"

"We can't use them on ourselves nor any other raven, these powers are for humans only."

"You mean if you get hurt, no raven can heal you. That's too bad, what is the use of power if you can't use them for your own good."

"It is the rule, our powers are meant for humans. How am I going to eat? I'm hungry!"

He grinned and replied "I'll feed you."

"You will?"

"Of course. Here" He said and took a morsel, softly blew on it and put it in her mouth.

"Hmm..It's very tasty." She complimented.

"Thank you, honey."

"You are not hungry? You eat too."

"Mine is still in the kitchen. Wait, I'll bring mine." He said and went away.

He came back within few minutes, she got astonished when she looked at his plate, the food was thrice in quantity than hers.

"You eat too much."

He chuckled and replied "Men eat more than women."

He fed her another morsel then fed himself.

"By the way, who owns this house?"

"I don't know. I saw this house empty, so I used this."

"You mean we are trespassing! there's a law against it!"

"We can talk to that human." She suggested.

"Talking doesn't solve matter."

"It doesn't? Ah, I forgot human can't be compromised."

"Not all but some can compromise. Who tells you these things?"

"My partner, Arjun."

Dev didn't know why but he felt sudden anger for this partner of hers which is ridiculous because he haven't even met him.

"Is..is he with you? I mean here."

"No. He had his human form before me, but he didn't like it in here, I was curious and he told me many things about humans."

"Do you like it here?"

"I'm just new, can't say anything, but I like you."

He grinned and replied "You do? Why?"

"You are nice, like your mother."

Dev flinched at the sudden reminder of his mother.

"You met Mom? Of course you did or I wouldn't be here."

"She came to us with her problem, I volunteered to help her."

"How nice of you, I like you too."

"How do you use that?" She suddenly asked while pointing her finger on the television.

"You want to watch tv?"

"What does it do?"

"It gives you entertainment, you can watch shows, films, news and many things, wait i'll show you."

He searched for remote and found it on the shelf below the television, he plugged in the power plug, both DVD player and television switched on automatically.

"Wait, you'll be surprised---" Dev said but then stopped abruptly while looking at the screen. He turned red with embarrasement and hurriedly switched off the television, damn! why would anyone leave po*n cd still in the player? this house must belong to a man.

"Why'd you close it? I didn't even watch it." Radhika asked.

"These stuff are definitely not for you. I'll find something else for you next time."

"Why? Is it bad?"

"No! I meant lovemaking isn't..ah! nevermind..just it's not for you! For now, let's just eat."

She nodded.

"Where will you sleep?" Dev asked.

"On here." She replied as she pointed her finger on the bed which Dev presumed to be his sleeping bed.

"Then where will I sleep?" he asked.

"On here too."

"With you?"

"Why you don't want to sleep with me?"

"Yes. I won't be able to control myself."

"What will you do?"

"Damn! why do you have to be so innocent?"

"Innocent?"

"Yes, I may end up making love to you."

"Then don't do it, whatever it is."

"As if it is within my power. It can get painful."

"I can heal pain, you know that."

He rolled his eyes, she doesn't know what she's talking about, if she dared touch him there, the pain will only worsen than get better.

"Your powers won't have any affect where my pain is concerned. You sleep here, I'll sleep on the couch."

"If you want that, I won't mind."

"Thank you. Good night."

She smiled and bid him good night.

It had been a week since his abduction, all his time was spent on teaching her how technology works and answering her various questions, teaching her cooking. She was like an innocent child, asking so many questions, curious to explore and he didn't mind answering them. They usually stroll in the forest, a little far from the house, where they discovered a little pond. He remembered the first time, she got so excited, she literally jumped in it and when she came out, he was bowled over by her luscious body, her every curve outlined, that really tested his patience.

He was having a pleasant time with her but happiness don't linger for long time.

"Who the hell are you? What are you doing in my house?" A man, in his late twenties, asked angrily as he stood at the threshold, his hand still holding the doorknob.

Dev looked back at the man and blushed, he never meant to trespass, so he replied "I can explain, dude."

"Like hell, you---Oh my! An angel in my house! Make me your slave, honey!" He shouted excitedly with a wide grin while looking at Radhika.

Dev groaned while Radhika gave the man a curious look.
