Jasmeet has good points which completely get lost with the way she speaks. She might be annoyed and everything but she is probably the only person who looks out for Kuhu in her own loud annoying ways.

I was re-watching old episodes and I realised that I have been underestimating her all this while, like I had been doing with Nidhi. That woman is so perceptive. She understands each and every member so well and she knows what will happen. The only reason she is not taken seriously is the way she puts her points forward. Also, I don't know how long you had been stalking ATs before taking the plunge to indulge in conversation but there was a point by @dramaqueen, I think, where she mentioned that Jasmeet is the representation of women who are shaped by patriarchy and she had explained and everything. That made so much sense.

I don't remember reading that about Jasmeet. Do you remember any more?

I think Nidhi and Jasmeet are both perceptive - maybe that comes from being in the sidelines. Nidhi shows that with her (in)appropriate comments. If Jasmeet's view isn't so clouded by putting Mishti down, maybe they would listen to her, but then again, maybe not.

Jasmeet has definitely been in Kuhu's corner in the past but she's not doing Kuhu any favors now though. Unless her idea is that Mishbir will live separately. And I can't think of anywhere else she has said anything about Parul being a servant until Mishbir haldi. Servants didn't register for her, but she didn't have any problem before about Kuhu's interactions with them. Is there a thread to discuss other characters? Not AT necessarily, but their motivations and such?

OK, so here's the next part. There's some material that's probably not needed and doesn't add to the story, but I wrote it to show inter-personal relatioships, so I'm posting it. I'm going to try my hand at some romance next and have no idea how that will turn out. Please bear with me and if it comes out bad, I can always delete 😊

Part 6

Abir and Kuhu walk towards the campsite. The kids are all awake. They introduce themselves and help put away the bedding. They sit and talk to the kids for a bit asking about each of them so they can figure out what to do to entertain them during the day. They then send the kids to get ready before breakfast arrives and start arranging everything to serve breakfast.

Kuhu - Bro…

A - Hmmm

Kuhu - Aap mujhse naaraaz nahi hain na?

A - Nahi toh

Kuhu - I just wanted to say, #extremelysorry meri wajah se…

Abir in the meantime calls Jugnu.

Kunal and Mishti come out and join them. Breakfast is delivered. The kids come and everyone eats. The locals come to see the camp and suggest some local candidates for looking after the kids in the short term. Kunal and Mishti decide to call them for interviews. Mishti calls BM after breakfast.

Mishti - Radhekrishna badi-maa

BM - Radhekrishna. Mishti, wahan sab theek hai?

Mishti - Haan badi-maa. Bacche sab theek hain aur hum toh aaj hi kuch logon ki interview le rahe hain, toh kaam shayad jaldi khatam ho jayegi

BM - Acchi baat hai lekin main toh tum logon ke bare mein pooch rahi thi. Rajvansh sadan mein…

Mishti - Hum sab theek hain badi-maa. Maine kaha na, hum sab handle kar lenge. Aapko bhi bahut shock hua hoga. Ghar mein sab theek hain? Varsha aunty?

BM - Varsha thodi pareshan hai. Woh - Kuhu aur Kunal dono ke bare mein sochke. Lekin Kuhu ne baat kiya usse.

M - Accha badi-maa.

BM - Tum aur Kuhu mein koi jhagda toh nahi hua Mishti?

M - Nahi badi-maa.

BM - Acchi baat hai, jhagda hua bhi toh

M - Hum aapas mein manage kar lenge. Humare beech ke problems se uss ghar mein koi tension nahi hoga. Trust me.

BM - Meri pyaari gudiya rani

M - Badi-maa, abhi interview ke liye aa jayenge. Humein bhi kuch ready karna hai. Main baad mein baat karti hoon, OK? Bye.

Abir and Kuhu spend the day with the kids teaching them music and dance. Kunal and Mishti handle the interviews and end up selecting a couple of them and plan to do a trial run that night.

Everyone comes together again for tea and snacks. Kids play some games and Abir is watching them. Kunal is doing some work. Kuhu and Mishti decide to clean up the room where the teacher used to stay to see if they can use it for the night. They work without speaking to each other for a while. After some time,

Kuhu - Mujhse kuch kehna hai ya phir as usual #mahaan banne ka irada hai?

M - Tumhari problem kya hai yaar? Jab mein tumhari idiotic harkatein ignore karti hoon ya phir tumhe jo chahiye deti hoon toh mujhe mahaan kehti ho aur jab aisa nahi karti tab bhi chid jaati ho. Jab tumhari business mein interfere nahi karti hoon tab bhi problem aur jab karti hoon tab bhi problem.

Kuhu - Kyunki mujhe pata nahi chalta ki tum kab interfere karogi aur kab nahi. Main predict hi nahi kar sakti ki tum kab kya karogi aur kaise react karogi #unpredictable! Tum jo kehti ho aur karti ho usme koi relation hi nahi hai #unrelated

M - Aur tum jo kehti ho woh hamesha mean karti ho kya? Tumhe sach mein laga ki mein coffee pe lungi aur tumhe woh theek laga?

Kuhu - Tumhe pata hai aisa nahi hai #notfair. Maine baar baar bola ki galti se pills gir gaye.

M - Aise sleeping pills haath mein rakh ke kaun ghoomta hai? Galti se pills gir gaye, galti se haar toot gayi... OK main accept karti hoon. Toh tum kyun nahi maanti ki mujhse bhi galti hogayi? Maine jaan bujh ke divorce papers sabke samne nahi laye the.

Kuhu - Toh mere papers cupboard se leke haath mein rakh ke tum kyun ghoom rahi thi? Tumhare shaadi ke din?

Mishti - Maine socha ki tum meri waje se sabse sach chupa rahi ho. Tumne bhi sabko wahi kaha - tumhare life mein sab problems ke liye mujhe blame kiya right?

Kuhu - Haan, kyunki main khud manage kar rahi thi sab. Sab kuch theek hone hi wala tha aur phir poori family involve ho gayi aur sab itna complicated ho gaya.

Mishti - Family se itni badi baat kaun chupata hai yaar?

Kuhu - Woh decision meri thi #mylifemydecision. Main tumhari tarah sabke samne sab baat nahi karna chahti. Mujhe meri life mein #limelight acchi lagti hai, #drama nahi.

M - OK fine, main help hi karna chahti thi lekin woh tumhare liye problem ho gaya. My fault! Lekin maine koshish ki na tumhare liye? Mandap share kiya na? Uske baad tumhe pehle shaadi bhi karni thi? Tumhe toh pata tha kitne problems ke baad Abir aur meri shaadi ho rahi thi... Mere bare mein nahi toh tumhare bro ke bare mein sochti!

Kuhu - Toh tumne woh bhi manage kar liya na. Sabko tumhari shaadi yaad rahegi! Kunal bhi mujhe chodke tum dono ki shaadi dekhne chala gaya!

M - Aur woh meri fault kaise ho gayo yaar? Tum kab tumhare life ke problems ke liye mujhe blame karna band karogi? Main bhi tension mein thi ki muhurat nikal jayega...

Kuhu - OK, #Iacceptit. Mujhe pata hai maine jo demand kiya woh unfair tha. Tumhe bura laga na? Toh tumne kuch kaha kyun nahi? Tum toh aise behave kar rahi thi jaise tumhe kuch fark nahi padta.

M - Meri shaadi thi Kuhu. Main try kar rahi thi ki main khush rahun, jo bhi ho! And I didn’t want to let anything spoil my day. Usse tumhein kya problem ho gaya?

Kuhu - I don’t know! Shayad yahi ki jab main irritated hoon toh main dikha deti hoon aur tumne aisa nahi kiya!

M - Main sach mein irritated nahi rehna chahti thi Kuhu. Main sirf meri shaadi enjoy karna chahti thi.

Kuhu (understands, but) - #whatever. Anyway, maine tumhare griha pravesh ke liye sab acche se plan kiya na?

M - Woh jab hum aaye kisi ka na rehana tumhari idea thi?

Kuhu - Nahi, woh maa ki thi, lekin baaki sab toh maine hi kiya na

M - OK thank you! Lekin maa aur mere beech as it is relationship itna accha nahi hai. Tum use aur mat bigado please.

Kuhu - Main kyun tum dono ke beech aaongi?

M - Accha? Aur mandir ke baahar maa se kya keh rahi thi mere baare mein?

Kuhu - Main dari hui thi thi yaar, and anyway, maa toh tumhein khush karne ke liye extra hard try kar rahi hain. Unhone khud kaha tha mujhse ki main Parul maasi ki bahu hoon aur tum unki aur isliye woh try kar rahi hain ki tum ghar mein welcome feel karo. Tumhein kya problem hai? M - Man sirf yahi chahti hoon ki uss ghar mein sab mujhe accept karein. Tumse main kitni baar kahoon ki mujhe kuch limelight nahi chahiye. Tum rakh lo saari limelight.

Kuhu - OK ek baat clarify karna hai mujhe. Maine socha toh tha ki tum pills leke so jaogi toh main puja karungi kyunki main bahut irritated thi ki tumne mujhse puja mein interfere nahi karne ke liye kaha tha. Lekin maine decide kar liya tha ki main aisa nahi karungi aur phir tum aur bro kitchen mein aaye aur takraye mujhse. Uss confusion mein pills gir gaye the. M - Accha, toh main...

A - Lekin aap dono jhagda, I mean, baat karna continue karo. Humein kuch problem nahi hai. Main aur Nanko manage kar lenge. Kyun Nanko?

Kunal - Haan, of course bhai!

M - Hum baat kar rahe hain toh tum dono ko kuch problem hai kya?

A - Problem? Humein kya problem ho sakti hai? Nanko tumhe kuch problem hai kya?

Kuhu - Haan Kunal, bolo, tumhe kuch problem hai?

Kunal - Problem...nahi. Main toh soch raha tha - raat tak ye discussion khatam ho jayega kya?

Kuhu - What?

A (pulling Kunal)- Kuch nahi bro, hum bacchon ko leke walk pe chalte hain.

M - OK tum log jao apne walk pe

A/Kunal (escaping from there) - Bye

M - Tumhe kya lagta hai, darr gaye kya?

Kuhu - #don’tknowdon’tcare but are we OK now? Truce?

M - Main toh pehle se hi ready thi. OK. Truce!

Kuhu - OK! Ab iss bedding ka kya karen? Ispe toh so nahi sakte yaar #disgusting.

M - Let’s see kya arrange kar sakta hain…

Abir and Kunal are walking with the kids.

A - Let’s hope ki unke beech ke problems resolve ho jayen

Kunal - Right...kyun?

A - Woh dono jhagda karenge toh humein bhi problem ho sakti hai

Kunal - Kyun? Kya humein bhi jhagda karna padega? Aisa koi rule hai kya?

A - Aisa koi rule nahi hai Nanko lekin kya tumhe lagta hai ki humari biwi khush nahi hain toh hum khush reh sakte hain?

Kunal - Yeh sab bahut complicated ho raha hai bhai

After the kids get back from the walk, everyone freshens up and they all have dinner. The new chaperones come to spend the night with the kids. They have nice campfire games for the kids and then song and dance. Finally all the kids are exhausted and go to sleep, the chaperones accompany them.

Abir, Mishti, Kuhu, and Kunal are still sitting around the campfire talking and having chai.

Kuhu - Accha humein bhi sona chahiye #sweetdreams

Kunal - Haan, kal in logon ko finalize karenge toh kaam khatam. Hum wapas ja sakte hain. Office mein bahut kaam hai.

A - Aur Nanko kaam ke bina kuch nahi hota, I mean, Nanko ke bina kuch kaam nahi hota…

M - Itna kaam hote hue bhi tum help karne aaye, thank you Kunal

Kunal - Maa toh manage kar lengi but…

A - Jab tab hum wapas jayenge, maa manage bhi kar legi aur unka agla plan bhi bana diya hoga

Kuhu - Kaisa plan bro? Maa kyun koi plan banayegi?

A - Kyun toh main nahi janta. Shayad unko bhi pata nahi ho? Par koi plan toh banayegi kyunki unka puja wala plan toh work nahi hua

Kunal - Bhai maine kaha tha na, maa aisa nahi kar sakti

A - Aur maine bhi kaha tha tumse, maa Mishti ke saaath kuch bhi kar sakti hain (notices Kunal’s look) Nanko, tumhein kuch pata hai kya? Maa kya karne wali hain?

Kunal - Bhai mujhe nahi lagta…

A - Meenu ka plan aur Meenu ka munna ko kuch pata nahi, aisa ho hi nahi sakta

Kunal - Mujhe ye nahi lagta ki maa koi plan kar rahi hain. Aur Kuhu bhi keh rahi thi ki maa Mishti ko ye dikhana chahti hain ki unhone use accept kar liya hai.

Kuhu - Haan bro, maa ne khud mujhse kaha!

A - Hmmm. Nanko, bol na kya baat hai

Kunal (looking at Kuhu) - Maa Red Pear Travels Mishti ke naam karna chahti hain.

Kuhu - What? (Looking at Mishti) Dekho tumhare idea ka asar.

Kunal - Kuhu, ye Mishti ka nahi, maa ka idea hai

Kuhu - Lekin isi ne shuru kiya, tumhare kaam se peeche hatne ka idea sunake

A - Actually bro woh idea Mishti ka nahi tha, mera bhi nahi tha. Nanko, Parul maasi ne mujhse request kiya ki main tumse baat karun ki kaam se peeche hatke tum Kuhu ko thoda dyaan do

Kunal - What?

A - Lekin manna padega, maa ki planning hamesha kamal ki hai

Kuhu - What do you mean bro? Abhi aapne kaha ki maasi…

A - Haan, of course maa mujhse khud kuch kehti, toh mujhe shak ho jata, lekin maasi ko aise Nanko ko kaam se break lene ki idea kahan se aa gayi? Aur company ko Mishti ko gift mein dena! Directly toh kuch kar nahi sakti na, unhone toh yahi dikhaya hai ki woh Mishto ko accept karna chahti hain.

A - Tum logon ko main kaise samjhaoon? Tum sab ko pata hai ki maa ne mujhe aur Mishti ko door rakhne ke liye kya kya kiya hai. Mishti maane ya na maane, humare liye toh woh serial ki villain hi hain. Nanko, main janta hoon ki woh tumhare liye aisa nahi hain but tum ye bhi jaante ho ki woh apni baat manvane ke liye kya kya kar sakti hain. Bro, ab toh tumhein time mila na pills wale incident ke bare mein sochne ke liye. Kya tumhe lagta hai ki sab kuch coincidence tha?

A - Main toh yahi soch raha hoon ki hamare beech misunderstandings or secrets honge toh koi bhi woh use karke hamare beech dooriyan bada sakta hai. Toh humein aapas mein sach bolna chahiye, even if it hurts. OK?

M/Kunal/Kuhu - OK

A - Accha Mishti tum bolo na ki Nanko ne jo company ke bare mein bola hai, tumhe kaisa laga?

M - Main toh kafi shocked hoon ki maa aur Kunal ye maante hain ki main company ki responsibility le sakti hoon, aur thodi khushi hai ki shayad woh mujhe accept karne ki try kar rahi hain

Kuhu - Aur uske liye tum Kunal ki mehnat ka phal le logi? Tumhein company kyun mile?

A - Aur yahi samjhane ki koshish kar raha tha main. Mishti maa ye nahi dikhana chahti ki woh tujhe accept karti hain, woh toh Kuhu aur tumahre beech problems badane ki koshish kar rahi hain.

Kunal - Par kyun?

M - Kyunki hum jhada karenge toh wohi unke liye proof hoga ki hum is ghar ke liye sahi bahu nahi hain

Kuhu - Unhe mujhse ab tak kuch problem nahi thi. In fact unhone hi mujhe mere hak ke liye ladne ka strength diya

A - Maa ke intentions assume karna dangerous hai bro. Tumhe bura laga jab Mishti ko naanu ne haar diya. Mami ko bhi bura laga. Kyun nahi lagega? Woh dono bhi toh isi ghar ki bahu hain aur unko ye sab nahi mil raha hai. Ab Mishti ko hi kyun? Ye sab toh ghar mein misunderstandings create karenge na. Aur blame toh Mishti par hi aayega kyunki wohi maa ke liye scapegoat hai. Lekin ye mat assume karna ki maa tumhe apni baat prove karne ke liye use nahi karengi.

Kunal - Bhai hum toh saas bahu saazish ka joke kar rahe the. Aap toh aise bol rahe hain...

A - Nanko tum abhi bhi maa ki poore soch ko samajh nahi pa rahe ho

Kunal - Accha toh Kuhu ko pata hai na ab, toh woh kuch nahi bolegi na?

A - Aur agar Kuhu chup rahi toh kya koi aur nahi bolega? Varsha aunty? Shaurya uncle? Jasmeet chachi bhi nahi puchegi? Ghar mein kisi ko problem nahi hoga ki Kunal ne apni company Mishti ko de di?

M - OK fine, ab bata bhi do ki kya karen ab?

Kuhu - Wapas kar do company ko

Kunal - What?

Kuhu - Haan, tum company usko do, aur woh accept karke wapas tumhe hi de degi

A - Ye idea acchi hai

Kunal - OK, fine lekin before we decide ki aisa hi karenge, mujhe iske bare mein aur sochna hai. Ab toh mujhe sona hai. Hum kahan so rahe hain? At least tent hai na?

Kuhu - Actually Kunal, tumhare liye surprise hai. Hum jo kamara clean kar rahe the, hum wahin soyenge

Kunal - What? Mujhe nahi sona hai uss mattress pe

Kuhu - #yikes poori baat toh suno. Humne bed bahar rakh di hai, aur hamare sleeping bags ko mattress bana di floor pe

Kunal - Oh good. At least tent mein sona nahi padega!

They say goodnight and leave.

A - Aur hum kahan so rahe hain wifey?

M - Aao dikhati hoon…

atleast they 4 are together and teaming up against DS...

Part 7

Mishti takes Abir a little further away from the campsite. “Yeh kahan leke ja rahe ho Mishti?”

Mishti looks at him and smiles. “Kyun? Darr lag raha hai? Tum akele, athletic body wale deep voice, silky smooth hair...kisi ke bhi mann mein galat khayal aa sakte hain, right?” Both of them smile, remembering.

“Tape recorder kahin ki,” Abir says absently. Then his tone changes and he comes closer. “Waise aaj tumhare irraade jo bhi hon, mujhe kuch problem nahi hai.”

They look into each other’s eyes and Abir pushes Mishti’s hair behind her ear. He puts his hand around her waist and pulls her closer. He rubs her lower lip gently and Mishti tries to bite his finger. Abir is startled. “Arre ye kya hai?” Mishti beckons to him to come closer. He bends forward to hear and Mishti whispers, “Badla le rahi hoon. Nashe mein pata hai tumne kitni baar try kiya mujhe kaatne ko?” Abir pulls her closer, “Really?” Mishti manages to nod her head. Abir whispers huskily, “Tumhe jo karna hai kar lo. Main toh yahi khada hoon.”

Mishti stands there looking at him with her hands on his chest. Abir pouts and says, caressing her face, “Pata hai, meri biwi ne mujhe ab tak...” Mishti raises up to her toes and shuts him up with a kiss, “...ek kiss diya hai,” he finishes. Then he completely surrounds her face with his hands and they kiss again more deeply. Finally, both of them come up for air. They slowly come out of the haze they are in and Mishti is a little flustered.

“Ab chalo. Sona hai ki nahi?” Abir sees she is feeling shy, “Pata hai, jab se hamari shaadi hui, ya toh tum so rahe ho ya main. Tumhe nahi lagta humein kuch aur karna chahiye?” “Shut up, Ajeeb Rajvansh. Hum bahar hain. Kabhi bhi kisi ko kuch chahiye toh yahan aa sakta hai. Maine woh teachers ko bola hai ki kuch problem ho toh humein bula len.” “Humein kyun? Nanko aur Kuhu paas hai na uss room mein. Unhe kyun nahi?” “Kyunki ye tumhara NGO ka kaam hai. Chalo!”

There is a tent with sleeping bags laid out and ready. Abir stops outside. “Arre tent ke andar kyun? Bahar accha hai na.” “Agar koi janwar aa gaye toh? Yahan toh fire bhi nahi hai.” “Meri angry, violent biwi ko dekh kar sab bhaag jayenge.” Abir looks sideways at Mishti, “Mujhe apni biwi ke saath taare ginne hain.” ”Taare ginne hain?” With a sigh Abir says, “Chalo, main chand se hi kaam chala leta hoon.” Mishti smiles and pulls him inside. “Andar chalke toh dekho.”

The top of the tent is a mesh and they can see the sky. They lay down in the sleeping bags and look up at the moon and stars. “Champaner hamara pehla trip tha. Kitna kuch ho gaya uske baad. Hai na? Kitna ajeeb journey tha aur ab hum wapas yahin hai.”

Abir turns and looks at Mishti.

“Tum chalo agar saath toh

Raaste manzil se behtar

Is chand ko is raat ko

Kal karenge yaad hum

Ke is lamhe hue the

Ishq mein barbaad hum

Ab toh bas ek khwaab hai

Ho tere honton pe hasi

Tum muskuraye toh lagta hai

Nayi duniya hai basi

Dil ki duniya janta hai

Kaun bolo dil se behtar

Tum chalo agar saath toh

Hain raaste manzil se behtar”

Mishti stares at him mesmerized as he says this.

“Uss raat jab hum scooty pe the, tab yeh khayal mann mein hi reh gaya. Main samajh nahi pa raha tha ki tumhe kaise manaon.” “Aur phir next day propose bhi kiya.” “Arre woh toh main dikha raha tha ki kaise propose karna hai. Tumko kaun propose kar raha tha?” “Accha?”

Mishti sits up,

“Dil mera machal gaya

jaise chaand raat mein morni

mere naseeb mein likhi hai

ek angry si chorni”

“Angry chorni toh main hi hoon!” Abir pulls her back down next to him, “Meri angry chorni,” he says, “Khichdi chor toh tumhare samne kuch nahi hai.” “Khichdi chor?” Abir smiles, “Woh ek din Nanko aur main bahar khaane gaye. Maine khichdi order kiya aur jab hum call attend karne gaye toh kisi ne meri khichdi se aadha chura liya.” “Ek note tha kya?” Abir is surprised, “Haan, note bhi choda. Mishti...tum?” “Tumhari zindagi ek main hi chor hoon,” Mishti says with a satisfied smile. “Angry chorni, cinderella-type chor, aur ab khichdi chor. I should have known!” Abir says smiling. “Aur kaun chori bhi karke note bhi chodta? Aur khichdi? Kisi ajnabi se?” “Main toh London se wapas aayi thi apna hak wapas lene.”

Abir gets up on one elbow to look at Mishti. “Ab toh sara hak hai,” he says suggestively. “Abir humein...” Mishti trails off breathlessly as Abir runs his hand up from her hip to her waist “...sona chahiye.” Mishti holds on to his hand. “Mujhe toh lagta hi nahi hai ki hamari shaadi hui hai. Love marriage ki hai aur ab tak aisa kuch bhi nahi kiya jo...” “Shut up Ajeeb Rajvansh! So jao!”

“Accha, ab bol rahi ho so jao aur kal mujhe utane ki kaise koshish kar rahi thi. Shayari bhi ki.” Mishti is surprised, “Tumne suna?” “Arre itni achi shayari sunke toh mujhe utna hi pada. Dara diya tha na tumhe?” Mishti nods her head, “Bahut!” “Sorry!”

Abir rubs her cheek soothingly and then holds her hand in his and rubs her wrist. “Yeh kya kar rahe ho Abir?” “Jo adhoora reh gaya use poora kar raha hoon.” Mishti looks at him enquiringly. “Pehli rasoi ke din, main toh tum mein kho gaya par tum toh mujhe distract karne ki koshish kar rahi thi,” he says as he presses a soft kiss to her palm. “Tumhara haath kitna chota hai.” Mishti kisses his palm too, “Aur tumhara kitna bada hai! I you love Abir,” Mishti says, snuggling her face into his hand. Abir smiles, “I you love too Mishti, lekin yeh thoda galat nahi ho gaya?”

Mishti is too sleepy to answer. “Tum so jao Mishti. Do din se theek se nahi soya hai.” Abir runs his hand through Mishti’s hair until she falls asleep. He places a kiss on her forehead and then settles back comfortably. He looks up and says “Thank you partner,” then he also falls asleep.

Got inspired to write romance by you and Nandu Meera and I think Ruhi mentioned khichdi chor wala incident not coming to light, so cooked up something with that 😉

I think I have to go your route and start writing snippets. This story will move forward 😊

This one is all kuku. It didn't come quite as naturally, so it's probably not great. Sorry!

Next one will have all 4 of them again, but it might take a while. I'm working on the other story and thinking of an OS. I should probably take this to FF section. Will figure that out soon and migrate.

Part 8

Kunal and Kuhu walk towards the room. The room has been nicely cleaned up and sleeping bags are laid out on the floor. “Tum logo ne kafi clean up kiya hai yaar. Thank you!” he says, looking at Kuhu. “#ofcourse mujhe bhi toh sona hai.” “Bahut thak gaya hoon,” Kunal says moving towards the sleeping bags.

“Kapde nahi badalne hain kya?” Kunal looks all around the room and then looks at Kuhu, “Lekin kahan?” “Yahin,” Kuhu says smiling. “Haan par…” “It’s OK, Kunal. Main nahi dekhungi. #Ipromise!” Kunal is a little embarrassed but changes quickly as Kuhu is rummaging through her bag. “Tum bhi change kar lo,” Kunal says. Kuhu just looks at him. “I also promise I won’t look!”

Kuhu tries to change quickly, but her zipper is stuck halfway down. “Kunal...meri help kar do. Yeh zip atak gaya hai.” Kunal comes and fumbles for the zipper and ends up tracing his fingers down Kuhu’s back instead. Kuhu jumps a little from the resulting shiver. She turns around and finds that Kunal is trying to find the zipper with his eyes closed.

“Kunal, aankhein khol ke karo na. Aise kya kar rahe ho?” “Woh main tum…” “Jaldi karo na please,” Kuhu says, turning her back towards him again. Kunal takes a deep breath, opens his eyes and brings the zipper down. “Done!” he exclaims and quickly moves towards the bedding.

Kuhu turns to him once she has changed. “Tum kyun itna sharma rahe ho? Madad hi maang rahi thi. Tumhe kya lagta hai? Maine purposely zipper stuck hone ka natak kiya? #desperate?” “What?” Kunal says looking up. “Of course not!” Kuhu winks, “Ho sakta hai mujhe madad ki zaroorat nahi thi,” she says, walking towards him. Kunal is lost for words as she runs a finger down his cheek.

“Waise mujhe pata hai tum romance kar sakte ho. Mishti ke haldi mein kafi kuch kiya,” Kuhu says with a smile, “Instructions padke aaye kya?” “Iske liye instructions hote hain? Kahan? I mean…,” he breaks off not knowing how to complete that. Kuhu bursts out laughing. “Come on Kuhu!” Kunal says in an exasperated tone. Then he smiles seeing how happy Kuhu looks. She sees him smiling and softly smiles back.

Slowly they stop smiling but continue to stare at each other. They are not aware of moving towards each other but suddenly they are in each other’s arms kissing.

The kiss ends and both of them are still staring at each other, a little stunned. Still in a daze, Kunal moves to sit down and falls into the bedding. “#oops,” Kuhu says, finally breaking free from the spell that had held her silent.

“Ouch! Abhi abhi toh mere back problems theek hue hain. Ab pata nahi kya hoga,” Kunal moans. “Lagi kya?” Let me see. #turnover” He turns over with a secret smile. “Kahan dard ho rahi hai Kunal? Yahan?” Kuhu asks, pressing a spot. Kunal mumbles something. “Main balm laga deti hoon. Itni driving ki aur floor pe sona pad raha hai. I hope it’s #nothingserious.”

Kuhu gets the balm from the bag and comes back near Kunal. She reaches for his shirt when he suddenly turns around and pulls her forward. She is startled. Kunal winks at her, “Ho sakta hai mujhe chot nahi lagi ho. I am a fast learner.” They spend some time lost in each other.

A dog howls outside, breaking them out of their reverie. Kunal looks towards the window and says, “I’m so glad ki hum andar so rahe hain. Yeh camping sab mere bas ki baat nahi hai.” “#samehere Kunal, lekin thoda stuffy hai. Wait main windows open kar deti hoon. Close kiya tha so that machar na aaye.”

Kuhu moves to the windows and opens them. “#perfect,” she says turning back to Kunal, to find that he’s sleeping. She smiles to herself thinking how tired he must have been to fall asleep in seconds on bedding on the floor, and then goes and lays down next to him. “Mujhe lagta hai ab sab theek hoga,” she says and closes her eyes as well.
