haina parents play a big role in children n their character... have you seen jithan film tamil film, in that it was a film based on a low esteemed, scared boy who was tortured by his mother since childhood bcoz of his scared nature n he let people treat him like trash... its some supernatural film but a nice watch... more than others demeaning you if your own parents doesnt value you that has a big effect on kids... even mish had same problem, read somewhere that her mother keeps on scolding her n dislikes her bcoz of her height n personality since childhood only akshara was her support....

Haan ....he always used to mention he felt suffocated there because Mesnu used to control everyone. And also because except him everyone allowed themselves to be controlled and manipulated. Actually Abir Meenu equation was the most realistic equation I had seen in Itv between a son and a mother who liked to control. The sarcastic give and takes.....the tauntings and actual pain it caused both of them was nicely depicted. It would have been angst gold if meenu was kept sane and baba track wasn't ruined.
No I haven't seen the film.Whose is it?? Actually when u mentioned I remembered a part in Santhosh Subramaniam which teared me up. The scene between the father and son, where the son bursts out what all he had kept suppressed in his mind against his father.The thing is we all put masks in front of our family when we think they don't understand us. We don't want to expose ourselves to them and get hurt again and again. Abir was hopeful and cared about his mother's opinions until she hurt him over and over again by betraying him. Meenu hasn't realized yet that she has lost her son.....the relationship Abir maintains with her now is for the sake of others in his family.
Mishti is his reflection, ridiculed and abandoned by her parents, mocked by others for her height issues, she has become a shell of a person she was before. She also maintains that distance with her adoptive parents because she doesn't want to be hurt again. With Abir she finally found her home. She could be her true self. Same with Abir. Why hide from a person who is your other half, the missing puzzle that completes you?
@Bold - Word diya.....👏 If you dnt get the love and validation from your family you will seek the same from others who will willingly give it you. Our show has many concepts to explore other than shaadi, if they actually did.
