Actually this is not a Meenu problem, it is the problem of majority of parents. They tend to trvialise their kid's problems, never realizing how their treatment of their kid can set the base for how the kid view himself and how he allows other people to treat him.

@Bold - This part you have written about Mishbir made me emotional. I like the fact that this show has shown that sometimes family is not everything. Sometimes there are people who come into your life who love you for what you are, with warts and all and not because they are supposed to love you because you are related by blood.

True remember his words i feel suffocated here, i cant live here as its always your rules, only abir used to understand the meaning behind her words n her indirect taunts towards him... that actually had a big effect on him...

haina parents play a big role in children n their character... have you seen jithan film tamil film, in that it was a film based on a low esteemed, scared boy who was tortured by his mother since childhood bcoz of his scared nature n he let people treat him like trash... its some supernatural film but a nice watch... more than others demeaning you if your own parents doesnt value you that has a big effect on kids... even mish had same problem, read somewhere that her mother keeps on scolding her n dislikes her bcoz of her height n personality since childhood only akshara was her support....

@bold - Word mini... thats one reason why abir loves n adores mah family so much too he keeps finding love outside as his own failed to understand him... our show has alot more subtle concepts but they dont make the desired impression...

Remember abir sometimes says that he is weak ...like he says to mishti ke mein itna bhi acha nahi hun jitna tum samajhti ho ... this totally goes with your analysis...sometimes he does feel under confident because there is actually none who has highlighted his efforts or appreciated him in a way mishti does... she has made him realise how important he is to his family too ..abir believes in finding happiness in the little little things ...that's his way...he won't do anything grand to make someone special..balloons, shayaris , going out on a date at the lakeside...that's his way and mishti also believes in simplicity and finding happiness in simple yet meaningful things ..like how she appreciated his efforts when he gifted her the glasses ...so he is absolutely the one who hasn't realised his self worth ...

absolutely agreed uru... he sometimes feels so less of himself.. all the things you mentioned his reaction whenever mish appreciates it the look of pure happiness n child like smile says alot about him...
