The whole show is so damn regressive. I feel like I'm watching some show from the 90s.BigBen is the worst character of the show followed by that mess badi maa has become

The rest of the women in the show are just terrible. Backward thinking idiots who think marriage is some kind of game played blindly.

Welcome to YRPK forum, Salil Sand! 😆 Well the show has a good balance of regressive and very progressive characters .. much needed to give a important message to the ITV audience and the society in general!!! Kudos to the entire team for power packed episodes!! #NoIsAnOption and every girl has a right to say NO!!

Yes, BigBen is regressive but not the show as a whole. The show isn't justifying BigBen; infact the opposite is being done.

I don’t think it’s regressive.. yes certain characters are but certain characters are regressive so that the progressive thought can be reiterated. Ben baa is herself progressive if u see her own character graph she is a woman who by choice has chosen her husband and by choice has left him. She is a working woman and is pretty much the head of the family. She is a woman with power and it’s her power play that does not allow her to have a thinking daughter in law. She wants to hold the strings in the power battle and hence wants a daughter in law who will just blindly follow her every command.

It is the battle of view points between her character and Mishti’s progressive thinking that brings out the theme of the show. So I wouldn’t judge so fast. Abir also is extremely progressive as a character. He respects women and believes in equality of sexes. He doesn’t filled his mother and family blindly. He has a Mind and a powerful voice.

Kunal is the worst for me for being modern gen regressive. All shows are like this though. KZK is even more outdated where hero's mom thinks heroine married him only bcos he is rich.

Right. TM seems to forget Abeer who is the most progressive lead by far for me. He deserves lot more attention than Kunal. He can stand up against his mom and call a spade a spade, has a backbone.

Mishti herself is progressive heroine. When main leads are that progressive, i don't care abt others. Kuhu though thinks she is progressive but utter regressive in her thoughts. Her future life wud be as negative due to Kunal as much as she made Mishti's life negative
