If all is petfect, then why to improve or promote?? But when ever there is a crticism from even a genuine point of view, they are considered as maiya fan. And they defend thier show with maiya show. Why. Every comment, every tweet to defend is related to other shows. every publicity is a publicity. That means they watch the other show. Such minute details to chatacter analyse it and comment on it in public forum. Simply to put in words. The other shows are promoted from yrphk fans more than yrphk itself.

Agree with you 100% ..

My topic was strictly based on the show..not fans or actors

You used the words bullying hence attacking me and calling me a bully

Irony is that it takes one to know one

I only said there is a thin line between 'constructive criticism and bullying and one should realise which side of the line one is...are u imagining own words ...infact you called me 'madam bully' would you like to speak on this or ignore it like you ignored explaining regressive.

Enough of this now ..no much importance u deserve than this.

Ps .this in my first day here and the amount of likes and replies I am getting is amazing. Thank you folks. Appreciate it.

I think for a show to be regressive, it wud have to show the regressive thought in a POSITIVE light, right??

That's the OPPOSITE of what this one is doing so I don't at all agree with yr view that it is regressive.

Yes, regressive thinking is shown here, no doubt, but also it is shown that this is NOT okay. The key characters are not regressive, which is what indicates where a show is going in terms of messaging, I think.

Both key characters, ML and FL, are standing up for something that is right, and AGAINST what is regressive so then how can the whole show be described as 'regressive'?? Not at all, I think.

It's not bashing. I actually find this show far better than others. It does have some short comings. Honestly I have seen people like badi maa in my own society. This is how marriage happens in society. Before engagement meeting a girl just for knowing her or the girl expressing such desire is still considered as wrong. Mishti is somewhere lucky she has a family who granted her this or a very progressive bade papa. I have seen my cousin arguing and fighting for this Martial courtship but my uncle and aunt refused and she had to give in. After engagement she meet the guy and did not like his attitude and broke the marriage. It took her two years get hitched again with another guy. I have seen her so gloomy and depressed because of her all the questions she has faced after she broke the engagement Even my aunt and uncle were not supportive. It was good that she got a guy whom she liked and happy Now. So this show is so relatable to me

Agreed. PB is a content rich show on TV right now. It hasn't got its dues. Trp toppers belong to a difference category.

BB twisted the alliances and Mishti demanded her right to courtship. She never wanted her sons to get married. Any responsible mother thinks of her first born. Abby baby is in some no zone category. So plotting and planning starts.

The track started with Ketki whose alliance was fixed with Ved like some biz deal without background verification and moved to Mishti and kunal entering into a courtship clause before marriage. A no trust verdict was passed by the bride against the groom and the theme was conveyed.

The makers balanced regressive thinking vs progressive outlook. Scores are settled.

It is not regression vs progression here but the pace which goes from slow to fast and again back to square one. The story is very simple or there is nothing in the first place. Only characters are developed.

Maybe boredom is more appropriate to the TM

Exactly..I wonder which show is not so. Infact this show atleast is trying to blend both extremes and thereby conveying what they want to. Abir and Viswambhar and Nanu won’t look regressive for me..

BTW, Patiala Babes and Ladies Special too, both are awesome shows that shld get more recognition, I TOTALLY agree there. I have a slight partiality towards Ladies Special though bcos so many characters were maintained so beautifully.

You know Dil chahta hai movie is considered classic now but was actually flop when released and when Farhan Akhtar was asked what one thing he would like to change about Dil chahta hai ...he said the audience...I wish audience was matured enough to understand content...this holds true for TV also...more than good shows we need good audience..it's there but in a very less number

Like how now bollywood is changing...PPL are flat rejecting films without proper content.. dosent matter whether it comes from biggest stars

The day when in TV also PPL start seeing shows not for the actors but for characters and story...change will start.

I wish shows like yrhpk and ones you mentioned above get the appreciation they deserve!!

ABsolutely true. I won't blame Ekta alone or Gul alone for rot they dish out. Audience is also to blame. End of day it is business sense for them to make stuff that gets the cash register ringing. The PH or actor rarely thinks about social responsibility be it TV or Bollywood and by NOT encouraging positive/progressive storylines the audience is helping them along nicely. Vicious cycle
