Show is too regressive - Page 5

Why are people still giving imporantce to this post? If we try to defend the show and justify it it will take forever. And this post will always remain at the top.

The show may have a progressive message but it's carried out in a regressive manner

BigBen..yes people with her mentality exist but her whole character and methods are OTT. Who goes to such lengths to stop her son marrying a girl...who can relate to all her stupid plans? How does she have time for them when running a business that almost failed?? most Mil in India would just be like nah son you ain't marrying her today or ever.

Men in society like Kunal do exist but I'm not sure what the show is trying to do with him..they cast a handsome guy who is obedient and usually kind but has such backward views at times... His own mom works but he wants a trophy wife? They need to show us some FB of his upbringing..somethings meddling with his mind

Mishti and Abir are a work in progress. We have seen Abir as too weak to fight for his love and now he is wooing Mishti only because she said no to Kunal. he may fight against BigBen for Mishti..but can he fight his brother?

Mishti has showed some progressive attitude but only after she said no and broke the engagement. Until then it was iffy

There is going to be a struggle between BigBen and her son and mishti as her dil..and I think that's when we will see if the show is indeed progressive. If they also make Kuhu strong (rather than letting BigBen pit the two against one another) and fight her own fight..then I can see hope

My issue is with the antics mainly and BigBen...tone her down....no more Kokila Modi..it's the character of BigBen and her stupid plans that date the show. Make her character witty sarcastic and subtle..with a side sauce of cunning.

For God sakes someone give Parul a vacation..never seen someone so stressed and ready to cry..BigBen been working her too hard with all her insane plans .
