What is wrong with song choices in the show?

Though there is nothing right about the show yet nowadays songs being played in past few days are second hand embarrassment.

Songs are really random and starts playing at anytime and doesn't even resonate with the scene.

The first instance was that pool scene like it was all really weird that song playing randomly.

Then that tum se song during car and rain sequence too was misplaced.

And now today the mehndi song was so ott, only last song when Abhira walked out was good.

But they aren't even putting brains in writing so songs still is a far away thing they would focus upon but rather play bgm and not these songs.

Songs in background play a major part of a show and I believe Ekta does her job well by those bgms extracted from songs. I remember Nagin series bgms for couples and even most Colors show.

Did past seasons too had this problem? I watched Ye rishte hain pyaar ke and it's dheere dheere version and saathiya song is still in my play list!
