Wanted to share my opinions on the 2 topics (colored red/green) and also about the temple incident.
Temple incident :I actually do not despise AbhiManyu for pouring his heart out in the temple.Remember he has been shown orginally as madly in love with AK. So keeping in mind that it makes complete sense that he wants to be with her again. As a truely in love character he should not be looked down upon to try one more time to get his soulmate back. I liked that he wanted to talk to AK and reveal his current feelings. But the treatment could have been better. He should have just shared what his heart wants but should have asked what really AK feels and if she is really happy with her current happy. I know that he has seen happy Sharma fam in Kasauli but it is wise and smart to have a direct heart to heart talk with AK nevertheless.
Red : I never expected AbhiM's this reaction on hearing about his son for the first time. Instead of having sympathy for him missing out on the initial formative years of his son, this "HAQ,HAQ" screaming and not understanding how much pain AK went through and what a disaster he created just left a very bad taste on the character.
Green: I think Abhir wanted to call him Docman again as he cherished his relationship till he was Docman to him and could share his heart with Docman. Whereas the Dadda days for Abhir is associated with nothing but pain . So he wants to go back to his happy relation that will not remind him of the chaos that ensued after he became Dadda.
I agree.
1. The temple setting actually made it very indecent and wrong from an ITV POV. It was screaming 'this is wrong;. Asking a sindoor wearing woman to leave her husband and child to come back to him infront of God. Especially in the context of thinking her as his 'cheez'- the way he referred to her while talking to Abhinav. But at the same time, the same temple setting made the scene even more impactful when Akshara called their marriage Umar Qaid and runs to solace and freedom in Abhinav's arms. It felt like DIVINE INTERVENTION. The scene enhanced further by Abhinav's beautiful monologue about love being freedom without any shackles.
I wasnt surprised by the content of Abhimanyu's confession. I was more suprised by his audacity to say what he said even after everything he did to her. But then he has always been impulsive and destructive in love. Glad he was put in place by Akshara.
2. I truly thought his redemption arc would begin there. Alas... not only did it not begin then.. its didnt even properly begin...at all lol. His pattern thereafter started to be : do mistakes, face the consequences and then play victim. Rinse and repeat till Abhir finally put him in place today.
3. Yes. Docman was someone Abhimanyu cultivated through time and effort, trust and love. Thats the relationship Abhir cherishes with him and is comfortable in that space. Dadda was forced on him. He did not accept Abhimanyu as the other father. Simply cause he already has one. This switch back also has an ulterior motive though. After Abhinav's exit, it opens doors for Abhimanyu to go from Docman to Papa easily when Abhir finally accepts him. So this regression serves two purposes.
