I think different shows are for different things. There are a lot of itv shows that do go into progressive topics. I loved Sadda Haq, for example. It was an excellent take on a toxic relationship. The leads did eventually reunite, but it was done really well. However, the premise of this show is that Abhira have soul love. The toxicity, immaturity, and absurdity of it all don't matter much if they would literally die without each other. Obviously, not realistic, but that is why people watch it.

Also, I disagree that any real woman would have chosen Nav over Abhi any day. Respect is great, and love is great, but what's really great is getting both. The thing is, respect can be workshopped, but love cannot.

I would have loved to see Ak heal, raise Abhir herself, and fall in love with someone. Have a proper love story again.

The problem is that, unlike the past two generations, they made this generation much worse. The family dynamics are not as good, there are no side stories, and no one else has an active story except for the leads. This makes it harder to take chances with the leads.

If Goenkas were supportive and everything, I would have liked Ak to move in with them, recover, heal, and move on with someone. Having a child together doesn't mean you have to end up together. But things are too convoluted for that.

Yep family support is most imp. Cos in real life after divorce anyone rarely finds such a genuine n decent guy like Nav. But in d end its fiction so Ak found one good for her đŸ˜ș As to Goenkas they're crazy. Their response to d whole fiasco has been so inappropriate. Not once they tried to clear their daughter's name, or defend her against Birlas blames, or help Ak with finances, or try to make Ab see his faults. They were shown celebrating n mixing up with Birlas despite everything when Ak called to inform about her 2nd marriage. Help could've been extended to Ar even by maintaining certain distance with her in-laws. But what to say for them being cordial with their ex-damad held more weightage than his treatment of their daughter. (Slow claps for Goenkas). I'm glad Ak stayed away from them otherwise this constant shouting of Manju, intense staring n pity partying of Ab would be a part of her daily routine. There was no way she would've moved anyhow like that. As to Gorilla family their hypocrisy, toxicity n entitlement ke kya kehne 😂 If Ak had given birth to Abhir in Udaipur fir to bhagwan bhi ni rok paate inko apna pota/beta ko le jane se. Ak would be forever stuck in this shit hole like Shefali is rn in name of her son. Meanwhile Gorillas top notch parvarish would've spoilt Abhir.

Mine is subject to conditions.

I am not against Abhira but dead against instant love etc etc.

Neither soulmate theory goes into my head.

Twin flames wala funda toh upar hi chala gya.

IMO trp fans could not connect with Abhira since day 1.

Apart from the story legacy fans also want their leads or jodi's to match each in looks.

HC's excessive weight loss, hairstyle, PR's costumes especially those frocks and gunny bags have taken away the charm from Abhira.

Look at Ekta she sees to it that her leads match.

IDN what is Rajan thinking.

Over the time I've become anti yrkkh only 😆 Bandh karo show ko if you can't show anything good..n lately they have been feeding on negativity at large n drag the popular shows..

Having 1 good epi in 10 pathetic one doesn't do it for me..I'll get bored and vanish very soon from the forum but frm what I'm seeing is abs nobody enjoys this show....they may have some ideas of a fantasy show in their heads which will have abhira as soul mates..reality is different..p .

I get to read such extreme reactions abt every epi everyday but when I watch the epi I find it normal..bec I am not anxious abt abhira , I don't Hate manjari or aroo ,I don't like anyone there..it doesn't evoke any emotion in me now..m still here coz I enjoy discussing the general topics

More than being For or Anti a ship, the story has to make some sense. The problem with this whole story is constant incomplete loops which they've justified in the form of this leap! The character's have behaved so off for a while, specially the level of abuse on display that it makes it difficult to root for any character at this point.

As for the charm...for me the leads definitely have crazy chemistry ...but the whole thing is TRP driven for this gen coz overall the ratings are at an all time low everywhere..every show, every channel. Channel has some other goals, they do not seem to be in it to show a story anymore; it's like whatever clicks will be on display.

The ship also matches or is popular maybe because it has multiple typical romance tropes that many people may like:

Strong guy-demure girl physically but emotionally it's the opposite

Childhood trauma, Mental abuse connection

Soul mates or unexplainable infinite love

Twin flames (new for me)

Puppy love with minimal understanding

Mythology connects (Personally joote padhne chahiye for the depiction)

At the end of the day it's a story and ITV is one of the worst platforms to sell any story in today's time...any iconic pair they create if happy winds up in months or after a few months the toxicity sinks in. Mini series or limited timeline shows are the only ones to give a try if one wants to watch a non toxic love story to a certain extent.

As for Abhira, I don't know how they can redeem all the abuse; that is something I personally dislike when pushed into a story that is projected like a classic love story or something! Akshara-Nav in real life would probably have been the endgame.

They're also playing with very touchy social subjects like Adoption, shared paternity, mental abuse, miscarriage, bad omens etc etc...none of which I've the confidence they'll close with dignity.

So now, I'm rooting only for baby Abhir; all others can go to hell if not redeemed ...and so I watch in bits and pieces with a pinch of salt on selective days😆

Abhira are a long way away from being rooted for in the current story sensibility wise!

Those who're saying in real world akshra would have chosen abhinav ....please don't

First of all this show is far away from reality since the start (s3)

And no in a real world too she wouldn't have chosen abhinav the driver as her partner or child's fatherji because money matters that's the FACT

And I think till now am sticking with Abhira and unable to connect with abhinav because he's a poor driver

In real world she would have asked for her share from goenka if she doesn't want to live with them , and have paid a hefty amount to abhinav for helping her that's it .

Because In this world one can only compensate other only through money there's no other way .

So please stop comparing the show with real world

P.s Waise toh real world mai shyad akshara k ghar se jaane ki situation hi nhi aati

Sensible and refreshing take 🙌🙌🙌

Everybody will start rooting for abhira again once the plot shifts to their love story.

In real world Akshara would have used the millions in her name to make something for herself and her son & chosen security over everything else as first priority! Even if she was a nobody pre leap she could have been shown working to be someone ...atleast they are trying that.

This whole poverty angle is absurd considering her family is in touch with her and she never was a pauper....she could simply used her shares or trust funds or insurance redemption. ITV runs on a weird financial planet 😆
