I can see her do something terrible against Akshu, like smash her precious guitar, and then this simmering down and realization of how burdensome her resentment has become would make more sense. She has changed her tactics to get what she wants - the question is, is revenge still what she wants? I'm not sure either way really...

I think she's over Jija (not that she was ever under him🤣)

well JIJA quit so for AAROHI he's a cracked nut no longer worthy of her

Without really knowing you at all (for all I know, you could be a 55 year old man living in his mom's basement 😆), you strike me as a calmer and more reasonable person than Arohi. Arohi is incensed when things don't go her way, like really really outraged as if the universe has insulted her.

A person like that needs the upper hand to forgive, in my empirical opinion. I can see her eventually come upon the exhaustion, self-preservation factor but somehow I can't help but feel she needs her rage to peak on some action, which it hasn't yet. Unless she's poisoned all the methi daana in both homes and it's just a matter of time before some cringe Abhira romance ends in horrible tragedy...🤣

But who would have thought you can get the best egg tarts at KFC in Taiwan?

Sometimes small miracles can happen. I take crispy over traditional chicken. Though my personal preference out of the fast food chicken joints is Popeyes. Spicy chicken and red beans and rice

Serious? Oh man I love the dimsum egg tarts, if only I could get them at KFC. And hells ya, I'm a Popeyes girl too🤗

High five for Popeyes!

Yes, in Taiwan you can get egg tarts. If you ever get to visit Taiwan (not just for egg tarts of course) its a nice place. Taiwan is known also for a lot street food.

I haven't been back for ages. I am Taiwanese by way but born here in the US.

It's not because I am worried about my metabolism. I don't like the taste of it KFC at all. I generally don't like junk food.

I also eat a lot but nobody knows where it all goes. 😆

I wish you could transfer some of those healthy tastebuds my way over the internet. I eat all the wrong stuff and right now, it's hard to see where it goes. But looking at my mom and my aunts, it's going to become evident pretty soon😆 That timebomb is ticking...😆

But till then eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow I die-t🤣

Been to Hong Kong but never Taiwan - hope I can visit someday (in fact, hoping I can travel one day like I used to before 2020…).
Also born in the USA. Haven’t been back to India in almost 3 years now…
My cousins jokingly call me ABCD - American Born Confused Desi. Is there a term like that for Taiwanese-American kids?

I’m curious how you came to watch Yrkkh - and I’m glad you did, you have some of the most balanced takes of anyone on this forum!

I am not aware of any term like ABCD for us Taiwanese American kids. Though probably use words like Twinkie or Banana (Asian on the outside but been so whitewashed on the inside) but that term can be applied to most Asians.

Some of my good college friends are Indian and they watch ITV. So whenever I use to go over to their house and they had it on I would watch with them. When they don't have subtitles one of them would translate for me. So been watching shows on and off. I only started watching YRKKH because one of my friends found out Harshard was back and started watching and told me.

I watch on Hulu. But Hulu updates the subs like a day later. If I watch it when the epsiodes drops I have to watch it without subs unless I am lucky and they added the subs early for the day. I usually call up my friend so she can tell me what was going on in the epsiode and fill in any dialogue details. I then come on this forum and look for any episode recaps and analysis reviews. Next day I may rewatch the episode with subs.

Luckily I understand enough to paratake in discussions here 😆

As for my views I tend be the type of person who tries to see things from all sides. Doesn't mean I don't have my favorites I do. But I try to be understanding about another person's view point even if I disagree.
