In all the arguments put forth in this thread I have found none mentioning how good looking Abhimanyu is.

We all have our thoughts and perspectives on what we find wrong or right. We all have our own boundaries of what we believe makes someone more guilty or not.

No one side is more right than the other. That is how I view these discussions.

abhimanyu made a commitment to marry Aarohi in front of everyone at his own free will…he’s a grown ass man so whatever his reasons were, HE AGREED TO MARRY HER.

So however Aarohi is, this is still cheating. Aarohi is not sitting there dreaming of doing hanky panky with her fiancé’s brother. Imagine if she was, everyone will eat her alive but because ooooh Abhi is sooo hot it’s okay if he does and cheats.

I think it’s pretty obvious most people are defending Abhimanyu because they are HC fans….

I don't know who is right or wrong. Everyone is wrong but Aarohi definitely does not deserve to be left on her wedding day. But I think after seeing her screeching screaming today we all will think she deserves it 😂😂

I agree to this because I am big Abhimanyu fan too and it takes big heart to find his fault just like you would feel for Akshara your baby but you all are not wrong at all.

I am a fan of HC but I do find Abhimanyu's character problematic. In fact Akshara and Arohi's as well. There are a lot of things that can be said about them.

But then again I am just watching this for entertainment. I am not watching it to develop some moral debate over the show and take that to the level that I become enraged by what the character does every time. If it becomes so problematic that I need to rant or vent out my frustration all the time then I know I need to switch the channel and disengage.

I think it’s been obvious me and my friends have the most fun watching this show because we have no issues making fun of every character including our Laadli Akshu

You clearly have strong views on this subject and that's fine. I don't recall where Abhimanyu told Arohi she shouldn't expect fidelity - he did tell her she shouldn't expect love. But I do want to point out that Abhimanyu lied to Arohi when she entered his office after he had twirled Akshara and grabbed her to his chest, and said they were just talking so she shouldn't worry. He also scolds himself out loud after one of his PG13 dreams about Akshara, saying he is marrying Arohi and this shouldn't happen. To me, both these point to the fact that he does feel guilty about his emotional/physical infidelity with Akshara when he's proposed marriage to Arohi. And he wouldn't be feeling guilty if that fidelity wasn't implicit in his proposal of marriage.

You're right that marriage has multiple connotations that are ultimately decided by the involved parties. But this is Udaipur not some commune in Marin County - I think it's not unreasonable to assume that a proposal of arranged marriage in this setting does come with the expectation of monogamy. Now you may find my premise lame but i don't find yours all that rock solid either.
