by choosing to elope AKSHU's reputation will be spoiled and no amount of ROARING by JIJA can get her reputation back

AKSHU is the OTHER WOMAN and AAROHI is the FIANCE at this point

We don't know if he will get away with being called out. I expect that Manish and Kairav would have some choice words to say to him. Even Harshvardhan would have a right to call him out.

Why are we assuming only Akshara is going to get blamed?

I expect that Abhi get called out, Akshara get called out, and Arohi to get called out in this fight. If Abhi doesn't get called out then I will balme the writers because he deserves to be called out too.

But now at the end of the day you reap what you sow. Unfortunately, life is never fair and bad things happen. She knew what she was getting into. She took a gamble and it blew up in her face. She had been warned even by her own conscience during the drunken hut episode. If something happened between Abhi and Akshara she would not be able to do anything about it. Because she knows Abhi loves Akshara and Akshara has feelings for Abhi. Hence the constant pressure on Akshara to step back.

Thanks so much for pointing this out!

And yes, life is not black and white. There is always the grey in real life. Cheating is black, fidelity is white, the cheater is always supposed to go to jail - it doesn't work like that in real life. Cheating is definitely wrong, but did Arohi act completely in good faith for her to accuse the other party here? She has been accumulating one kaand after the other, and lies don't have legs. It was bound to come back and bite her - now or later on.

She even expected Akshara to somehow hide her absence on the wedding day and threatened Akshara to lie so that even if she got delayed, her marriage would still happen. She said that she'll blame Akshara for the rest of her life if something goes wrong. And by things going wrong, she clearly meant that she may be late in returning but Akshara had to lie and hide the truth for Arohi to fulfill her bratty tantrum. Akshara was doing exactly this, but then Abhimanyu went missing at the sunset point.

If Arohi was successful in not being "cheated" now, and even if she was successful in controlling Abhi's feelings after marriage, the truth is she would've had to suffer a loveless, unhappy married life, most probably leading to divorce. That's what she set herself up for.

Of course, I'm not saying that Abhi and Akshara are saints here. Everyone is at fault for the situation here - that is real life. And for the record, if Arohi has been cheated, then she's been "cheated" not only by Abhimanyu but also by Akshara as well. Both Abhi and Akshu are cheaters if it's viewed that way. If Akshara isn't being called out for any of her mistakes, then it's because she's looking cute and puts up this bechari act so that people want to mother her.

In fact, if Abhi ever did get married to Arohi and wished to nullify it then he could because

A) marriage is void without consummation - I'm pretty sure Abhi made it crystal clear that he would never give her any rights of a wife and

B) he he was tricked into the marriage - Ground (b) is very crucial here. Without Arohi's fraud, there would be no marriage.

RK is a brilliant actor but yes I do agree with you.

So honestly I ask this not be argumentative - when did he make it crystal clear? When he goes with the rishta for Arohi, he says this is not a love marriage, this is an arranged marriage. Arranged marriages are still more common that love marriages in India no? But most of them do involve consummation, financial rights, social rights, produce children etc. I think Arohi (and I agree she is delusional and unself-aware) assumes this is what he's offering which is why she keeps saying given the time and proximity she'll win him over eventually. I think there's a definite assumption of implicit marital rights from both families (which Abhimanyu never actually explicitly negates, except that she can't expect love).

Second question (again I do honestly wonder about this and all opinions are welcome) - how would the conversation between Abhimanyu and Harsh have played out following Manjari's mysterious illness if Abhimanyu didnt assume Arohi had done the Puja and saved him from the fire? Harsh would've brought up Arohi as his pick for sure when Abhimanyu said he'd marry whoever to save his mother. Would Abhimanyu have said no to that?

I don't know. it might be interesting to speculate how that would play out.

abhimanyu made a commitment to marry Aarohi in front of everyone at his own free will…he’s a grown ass man so whatever his reasons were, HE AGREED TO MARRY HER.

So however Aarohi is, this is still cheating. Aarohi is not sitting there dreaming of doing hanky panky with her fiancé’s brother. Imagine if she was, everyone will eat her alive but because ooooh Abhi is sooo hot it’s okay if he does and cheats.

i just can’t

Of course. And Mahaan Akshara too, out of her own free will, lied and gave up her favorite toy to satisfy her sister's tantrums. But she still simultaneously continued to look at Abhi with tears and longing in her eyes all the time, continued dressing his hurt finger, continued getting physical with him in her full senses, continued having PG 13 dreams about him, and continued going into his room to hug his shirt.

She's a GROWN ASS WOMAN TOO, so why was she behaving in this disgusting way with her sister's fiance, whom SHE WILLINGLY GAVE UP for her sister's happiness?

So however Arohi is, what Akshara did to her is still cheating as well. Can't clap with one hand. If Abhi is at fault for what has happened, Akshara is probably at even more fault because she knew all the truth behind Arohi's true nature and her intentions, and yet pushed Abhi to marry her crazy sister and get into a miserable loveless marriage.

And just because Akshara looks oh so cute and bechari, it's okay if she cheats on her sister.

I just can't as well...

please read my posts where I put equal blame on Akshara too. She’s not innocent either. She has a duty towards her sister to be honest with her. She’s as wrong to yearn for her sister’s fiancé. She’s as wrong ti dream about him. She’s as wrong to run after him and confess her love to him on Aarohi’s wedding day.

Our jokes apart about Akshu, nobody ever called her innocent and said she’s not at fault. I think Bakwas has been very open about dissing her the most. We have been making fun of her idiocy for days now

1. The thing is... I would have agreed with all your points but for Abhi's clarification. Cheaters keep people in the dark, Abhi did not. What part of "I will always love Akshara", did Arohi not understand? I'm pretty sure he was not speaking in Spanish.

He also added that the marriage was only for his mum, she should mot expect anything more. I.e. it was a majburi, a compromise rather than free will.

I will bring Arohi into this because if she really cared about being cheated on then she should have terminated the business contract they had going on. Delusion is not a defence.

2. This is an easy one. How are you unsure? If Abhi didn't think that Arohi had saved him from the fire or cared for him mum, I do not think he would have even thought about giving up on Akshara. The first time he ever thought about Arohi was when Manjri stupidly asked him to give her a second chance. One of the biggest cause for Manjri's plead was because she thought Arohi had convinced Akshara to give her statement in the Ruby case. Again, Abhi was only attracted to Akshara's qualities that Arohi had projected on herself. If anything, this makes it clear that Abhi isn't only after Akshara's looks, it's her personality and nature that has him hooked.

Without Arohi's lies, Harsh wouldn't even have dared to ask Abhi to marry her again. It was that court wala lie that gave Harsh the confidence to convince Abhi for Arohi again and it was due to the court misunderstanding that Abhi was forced to give up hope on Akshara. At the end of the day, it is Arohi's lies that have caused the chaos.

Nice to see you again!🤗

You are right, he should have rolled out a list of clauses because clearly Arohi is not intelligent enough to understand simple hindi (and this numpty is being defended hey ram).

"Mein hamesha Akshara se pyaar karunga" -

Even it Arohi changed her name to Akshara after this, it won't change anything because we all know what Abhi meant. Or maybe I am the only one who sees that quote as a clear warning 🤷‍♀️

See to me there's a fundamental disconnect there - 'i will always love Akshara' doesn't necessarily mean 'I won't have any of the other socially sanctioned trappings of a marriage with you' when an arranged marriage is being discussed. There are many functional marriages where mutual love is not the basis (for better or worse). And granted Arohi IS delusional but would the two families be ok with the idea of Abhi just proposing what amounts to a wedding, a shared house (not even room) and the Birla name? My perspective is they wouldn't be ok with this, which is why I think (except for Abhimanyu) no one else is assuming he's offering a bare bones contract. They think he's offering a bonafide arranged marriage (he even said the marriage he's offering is based on support from the family). But I can see there are two possible perspectives here because the writing is ambiguous, and we're falling on opposite sides of that divide. Or maybe the writers left it deliberately ambiguous - Abhimanyu was shocked Manish accepted his offer. Could be because Manish also interpreted it differently than Abhimanyu intended.

Maybe I'm off on my timeline but Abhimanyu had given up on Akshara BEFORE Manjari's illness that led to his telling Harsh he would marry whoever? Because of the KOI BHI incidence? So even if Arohi had not come into the picture, wouldn't it have come down to the same situation because Manjari is stressed Abhimanyu is not married and Abhimanyu thinks its best that he moves on? In that case, I still think Harsh would've immediately brought up Arohi.

(I definitely agree that Abhimanyu's attraction is not just about Akshara's looks - it started with her voice and then clearly he saw all the similarities to his mother in her compassion etc.. Although if she were old and ugly, I suspect that might have dampened his affections a little - but this is a TV show so...)
