So as long as there are no personal attack or mentions, it's totally fine for one to post whatever they feel about the characters, right? Because what one finds offensive about the character might not be for others. Just confirming. 😊

When this show started and the track was gearing up to the "triangle" portion of the drama I knew some of the characters we initially loved would start doing things per convenience of writers to move plot points along and it would stretch our patience and heighten our views of right and wrong.

All characters are flawed and probably deserve a good roasting now and then.

I think this forums has equal threads of roasting and general discussions. All opinions are welcomed as long as it never crosses the line where comments are actively attacking an actor.

If you don't like the roasting threads no one is forcing you to engage with that thread. There are plently of other discussions threads out there. If you want to discuss something and no one has opened a thread for it you are welcome to open one to discuss. That's the beauty of a forum you get to choose what you want to interact with and how you interact. And multiple opinions can be shared. As long as we also maintain respectfulness of other opinions. You may not convince someone to change their opinion and that's okay. They have a right to it just as much as you do to yours. Just agree to disagree. Who knows when the next track comes around you may find yourself agreeing with the person you had disagreed with before.

It might not be just one but many, only few chose to react on it. See we all are human and we can gave different perspective over same things and our intensity might differ due to our thinking process. It's better we do everything in set boundaries not to hurt others as well coz we all are here together to enjoy.

Setting boundaries is good. I would see some difficulty in defining what those are. What one finds offensive may not be for others.

But I agree like Eka said if we could know what people found offensive we can try to control some of that.

I don't think anyone on this forums is out to purposeful hurt anyone’s feelings.

This is exactly what my doubt is. What are these set boundaries? I have always refrained from mentioning anyone in my thread unless it's to appreciate them or I have engaged directly with them.

See, for instance someone could find me mocking a character offensive, at the same time I could find someone praising a character offensive. So what do we do then? I di feel strong disagreements and I engaged with it politely. Now I don't anymore at all with the posts I disagree with because there is a rising level of intolerance for differences of opinions. So I make posts with my opinion or engage with people who think similarly.

So, I can't be censored because someone did not like what I said about a character, right?

PS: Do not read it in angry or mocking tone. I keep typing this because I honestly feel a lot of misunderstandings in the forum happen because people read the posts in a negative/rong tone.

Exactly, I am not someone who can manage to have such commitments and loyalty for a TV character that is written a bit shoddy. But I do have characters I cherish but that doesn't mean I completely close off to criticism. You can't force everyone to like what you like. At the same time, I don't want to cause hurt either and I don't think it's fair to ask anyone to not criticize a character and I am all for boundaries if they are logical and fair.

All the roasting and gifs are fun to an extent no doubts! Personal attacks are a strict no no! This is just my opinion, but I visit IF to read views on the episode or the character or future track predictions and mainly OSs and FFs! It gets a little tiring to see most of the Page 1 content on the forum goes to roasting about ‘Jijaji’! Sorry I really don’t like the word becos of it’s over usage in this forum! This isn’t something I want to see after a whole day of living in the real world and seeing the characters that are a little bit close to my heart get bashed left right and center even for a minor eye blink! This is my honest opinion and I believe this is one of the reason for fandom’s division! I neither have a solution nor a way to control your fun but maybe if the roasting is limited to threads, we can give way to many other posts.

PS: please read my comment with the same confused and a little tired tone!

Yes. But I do feel the same way about "positive" posts too. When you get upset about the roasting posts, I feel strong disagreements with what I consider as whitewashing posts. I used to engage with posts I disagree, but I don't anymore because of the heavy backlash. So, I make posts of my own and engage with people who agree with me. And I don't think it's fair to ask anyone to not post roasting polls or posts, not saying you did. 😅

PS: Tone is exhausted and not at all angry. 😊
