If it helps, I would just like to say not worry too much about what other people say as long as you are not intentionally hurting anyone. There are so many threads discussing various things. I know it's not my place to say and people have different lived realities but please try not to be too bothered about what people say on an anonymous platform on the internet. That's what I do at least. Take care. Don't let a show affect your mental health. ☺😊

I also stay away from posts I disagree with because te backlashing is heavy from both the sides. So I make posts on my own and engage with similar ideas.

This is exactly the thing. Someone believes all three are equally flawed. Some don't agree, some agree. I definitely don't agree and that's okay. We all have our reasons and explanations and I tried with my reasoning and all I got was heavy backlash. So I stepped back from engaging and started engaging with like minded people.

I agree but I came to this forum to discuss and talk because my favourite TV actor was once again back on my screen.

I would be more than happy to discuss things and see things from different POVs. Like for example, why is Akshara correct for lying to him and why is he wrong for going berserk in the extent of his love for her. Why is he so frustrated and why is she so calm outwardly?

This is a topic that can go to 100+ pages if debated upon sensitively and sensibly.

However, I have had so many bad experiences on IF in a different forum that now even saying that I want to see things from the ML's POV is something I think about 100 times.

These are characters written by writers who might have a different thought process; for a demographic completely different to me. So I tend to try and look at things from all these characters' POV.

At the end of the day these are just characters but I am a real person and I just don't want to be in a situation where I am having to question whether my POVs are favouring aggressive behaviour because a make believe character forced his soon to be wife to wash off her mehndi because she is pushing him over the edge and he can't seem to stop loving her.

I do believe what TV shows and movies depict have a huge influence on society that people even today believe stalking is okay.

This is simply my personal opinion that Abhimanyu's role do have an influence on people if people find it really difficult to deal with the roasting and trolling of Abhimanyu.

The above two paragraphs are not connected. I am not saying Abhimanyu is a stalker and people who like him like stalkers.

I love to argue so these anti Abhi posts are no big deal for me and if it does bother me then I tend to ignore them, not too difficult.

However, I can totally understand why some people may not be comfortable with the anti Abhi threads because truth be told that's all I see now. Its completely okay to bash a character but now it seems that Abhi is "picked" on rather than bashed. And this would be fine if Abhi was a genuinely crappy character but he isn't. There are worse characters on the show such as Arohi and Harsh but Abhi is projected as being more problematic than them and I do not see the logic there. Akshara is also not the finest characters imo (what is she teaching this generation? To become a doormat?) but I don't see many topics questioning this flaw of hers.

See I love both Akshara and Abhi and I feel both are equally flawed but I see people white washing Akshara whereas the smallest error of Abhi gets put under a magnifying glass. I think thats the issue because when this happens then even I tend to lean towards Abhi over Akshara simply because it seems unfair to see one character be picked on. Bashing is fine and all are entitled to freedom of speech but even the most popular song becomes a headache when played on a loop.

Regarding personal attacks 🤔 not many but there were one or two where HC fans were being judged for supporting Abhi but noone can jail me for defending Abhi so I'm cool.

P.s I haven't reported anyone or any topic. I am innocent.

I think roasting and trolling up to an extent is fine but turning every post into a trolling and roasting post?

Members not wanting to post because they feel their post will turn into a trolling and roasting post is not fair to them.

So it is strictly my opinion that interventional cardiologists wouldn't have the time to turn into lovesick puppies like Abhi. They would hear the NO and considering the number of MIs they see and PCIs and CABGs they do, just immerse themselves in their work. Stalking, IRL would get them reported and would even lead to a fitness to practice disciplinary hearing against them by their licensing body. They wouldn't go around hunting for " The One That Got Away" or get emotionally blackmailed by their mother into marrying some girl.

Abhimanyu is a doctor but he is a doctor on primetime ITV catering to masses in a country that likes drama. What I think doesn't matter because I am not even contributing to TRPs and I watch Greys Anatomy and Chicago Med where an interventional cardiologist would never ever everrrr operate on an ENT case for example.

However, because I watch this show, I want to try and understand the character that I started watching this show for. Is that such a bad thing?

I don't entirely agree with you. Because in the beginning I was always engaging with different posts. I used to write long polite essays about my take and I faced huge backlash. Aa far as I understood no one in the forum really enjoys healthy debates unless it's the same view that is being expressed. I have only had nice experience with very few people of differing opinions. So stopped doing that in places like that and completely ignore them and started having fun with like minded people. We were having fun with gifs and one liners.

Honestly I don't care about anyone bashing anyone or anyone writing anything anymore. Before I used to engage with differing opinions, but now I don't. I have fun in posts I like to. But we can't stop people from posting what they want right. Bashers are putting in the effort to keep posting wasting their time on a stupid show, and people give too much attention to it. The only way to counter it is to have more positive posts by Abhimanyu fans and not expect trollers to stop is all what I said.
