Members not wanting to post because they feel their post will turn into a trolling and roasting post is not fair to them.

So it is strictly my opinion that interventional cardiologists wouldn't have the time to turn into lovesick puppies like Abhi. They would hear the NO and considering the number of MIs they see and PCIs and CABGs they do, just immerse themselves in their work. Stalking, IRL would get them reported and would even lead to a fitness to practice disciplinary hearing against them by their licensing body. They wouldn't go around hunting for " The One That Got Away" or get emotionally blackmailed by their mother into marrying some girl.

Abhimanyu is a doctor but he is a doctor on primetime ITV catering to masses in a country that likes drama. What I think doesn't matter because I am not even contributing to TRPs and I watch Greys Anatomy and Chicago Med where an interventional cardiologist would never ever everrrr operate on an ENT case for example.

However, because I watch this show, I want to try and understand the character that I started watching this show for. Is that such a bad thing?

Nobody said what you think is a bad thing. I just made a very general statement about the society. Especially the gifs and polls on jija was not an attack on any personal member as far as I know. People have differing opinions. All I meant was if the gifs and fun polls are affecting people really badly, then it means Abhimanyu and his actions do have great influence on people.

I have never seen anyone attack anyone personally? I have never even seen anyone saying anything negative about any of the actors. The only “bashing” or “trolling” is about the CHARACTERS while the actors playing them (esp HC and Pranu) are being appreciated.

I was just trying to see from Abhi fans pov. It can get annoying to see one person be targeted again and again even if it is harmless. That doesn't mean I want people to stop sharing their opinions. I think the forum would become boring if everyone thought alike.

However, I can totally understand why some people may not be comfortable with the anti Abhi threads because truth be told that's all I see now. See I love both Akshara and Abhi and I feel both are equally flawed but I see people white washing Akshara whereas the smallest error of Abhi gets put under a magnifying glass. I think thats the issue because when this happens then even I tend to lean towards Abhi over Akshara simply because it seems unfair to see one character be picked on. Bashing is fine and all are entitled to freedom of speech but even the most popular song becomes a headache when played on a loop.

Regarding personal attacks 🤔 not many but there were one or two where HC fans were being judged for supporting Abhi but noone can jail me for defending Abhi so I'm cool.

P.s I haven't reported anyone or any topic. I am innocent.

You have said what i wanted to say so eloquently.

i was looking at it from a medical perspective because of the character's profession and comparing it to medical shows on normal TV.

p.s. i haven't reported anyone either; like I said I just tend to stay away if I feel i don't want to join any conversations.

See I don't have a problem with anti Abhi threads, I like that there are so many different takes and interpretations of this show but yes, I will not deny that it seems absurd to me that xyz get away with murder but Abhi is always nit picked on. Thats my only complaint. I'd prefer a more fair debate where all characters are questioned - that's more my thing.

But if thats not happening then best solution is that you counter argue either by friendly discussions or creating positive Abhi threads that Noor often does. Otherwise ignore, simple as.

Its not science, no one is right or wrong here.

@Bold That is very daring of you 😆 I work in a hospital myself and I personally wouldn't go there. This show does not boast about being realistic so futile to compare to real life setting.

So then a real life person shouldn't be judged based on how they react or respond to how a character catering to a completely different demographic than the one they are accustomed to...that is all I was trying to say.

I am sure if we ask the writers why Abhi is not written like someone on a medical tv show, we will be told that Abhi isn't catering to medics but to the TRP garnering demographic.

Then real people trying to see things from Abhi's POV should also not be called names or bashed because real life settings are completely different and people will not react in the same way as they do to Abhimanyu.

Anyways, its fine - I will go back to how I was...

P.S. this is the same country that made Kabir Singh/Arjun Reddy a superhit and those characters were waaaay more problematic than Abhimanyu.

When in fact, other characters and the writers are equally to be blamed.

Why not have the same analytical mind and spare some bashing for Akshara and the other characters too sometimes? The families are in fact even worse than the lead characters and deserve even more bashing. Unfortunately, the flaws of all other characters are just ignored. The way he's relentlessly roasted, it's as if Abhi is the only one who's spoiling ITV. If we dissect every single thing around us at every instance, then the world will seem pointless.

Please don't get me wrong. I'm not personally offended by anyone criticising Abhimanyu. I can very well ignore all the Abhi bashing. After all, who one wants to bash/mock is entirely one's own choice. But I'm just trying to rationalize different POVs.

And a sincere request please: if replies to just this one post at least can be serious, instead of mocking Abhi, that'll be great. Cheers!
