Hi guys,
Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments on chapter one 🤗 I was a bit apprehensive about posting this piece here, but thank you for accepting it. It means a lot.
Here is chapter two, it is not exactly what I'd hoped it'd turn out to be, and it might be another or two chapter till they find each other, but I hope I won't disappoint you with this.
What they showed us in the show was way too amazing, and I don't think whatever I write can do justice to it, this is what I could come up with. Do tell me what you think.
Not proofread, I would be getting to it soon, so please ignore any mistake and do point out the glaringly obvious ones.

As a child, cloud gazing was one of my favourite things to do. I used to lie on my mother's lap and together we tried making sense out of the random overhead shapes.
Today, the sky was as crisp and blue as any of those days, but there wasn't the shade of a tree or my mother's soothing lap.
I miss my mother everyday, but right now, I yearn her presence. I wish I could tell her about this mess, seek some comfort but if course, I can't.
Oh Ma, I miss you.
I clench my eyes shut, tuning out all else.
I could ignore this, I thought, the sun burning my face, the scorching sand almost burying me, it was easy.
I didn't even have to try that hard, although I was quite young when my mother left me, my memories of her were anything but vague.
Lying here, lost among these dunes, I could still shut my eyes and feel her caress my face, I smile involuntarily, the thought of her itself is soothing.
Naira
I was once told that it's possible to be alive and still not living, back then that idea was laughable.
But right now, as I run frantically on the streets of this strange village I finally grasp that concept.
I was alive and breathing still, but it was as though a piece of my soul was ripped right out, along with my feelings of existence.
My Kartik was missing, presumably lost in the desert, in a sandstorm.
That's all I had had the patience to hear, I'd ran out of the house and unto these roads not knowing where they'd lead me.
There was a time when I'd have been furious at him for being so careless, for walking away on our wedding day, but I know that for him to have done something like this, it has to be big.
I had to find him, no matter what. The whys don't matter, the only thing I cared about right now was his safety.
I know that I love him that he is important to me, that I'd do anything for him.
But until this moment I never knew how much I relied on him. I used to think I needed him because I was so in love with him, but it was really the other way around.
He is the fire that keeps me going, my strength, my reason.
I cannot imagine a day without his tar tar, his smile, his love, I needed him like one needs air.
I idea of losing someone is so scary that it gives you so much to reflect upon, I'm suddenly reminded of my papa, how he is no longer the same man I've known my whole life.
He keeps up a happy face for our sake, but inside he's broken beyond repair.
The void my mother has left behind is going to stay with him for as long as he was alive.
I can only assume what it is like for him, the idea itself is agonising.
The what if I don't find him thought pops into my mind, I'm reminded of that awful diwali night when he got hurt trying to save me. He was only unconscious for a while, he was with me the whole time, and what i felt then was perhaps the most pain I had endured my whole life.
I can't even bear the thought of losing him, not today, not ever.
Reality hits me, it's a hard blow, I double over in anguish, it hurt too much and I couldn't go on further.
What if I was too late?
No Naira, I tell myself, you have to be strong, right now finding him was priority, I could break down later.
I was his sherni, and I will find him.
I didn't know where to look , I was on the edge of the desert now, the strong winds making it impossible see.
Having ran all the way I was gasping for air, but it made no difference.
I have decided, if I were to leave this storm, it would be with him.
And so I kept going forth, screaming for him.
My voice was hoarse and although I knew he'd never hear me over the raging storm that wasn't going to stop me.
The wind kept throwing me off my feet, my ears were ringing, my feet was burning from the heat, I was exhausted from the effort of braving the storm, and he, he was no where to be found.
