Akshara's mistake was that she hid it from Naitik. She thought of Nandini's happiness and went out of the way to get Mohit and Nandini together. If she had told Naitik earlier, he would have enough time to weigh the pros and cons for Akshara madam to see. He would have been able to explain things from his POV as he knows how his family will react to a love marriage. Akshara may not have given so much imporatnce to the family because a similar scenario had taken place even in her house. Shaurya and Varsha were seeing each other and when Vishambar got to know, he was furious. However, Aksh was able to weave magic and get the 2 lovebirds together. I think she thought Naitik would do something similar...and I guess thats why she kept telling Mohit and Nandu that Naitik sab kuch sambhal lenge. She underestimated her husband. She thought Naitik would also think like her and be happy for his sister. Thankfully, naitik is much more practical. I know Aksh should be careful since she is so new and should be responsible towards her duty as a DIL but she overlooked her responsibilty for sake of Nandu's happiness.
Aksh did want to tell Naitik everything. She hid everything from Naitik till he got a call from Nandu while she was in Agra. After that she tried convinceing both of them to tell Naitik but neither of them had the guts. Mohit had told Aksh that he would do something (since he had ek poora din) and she trusted him (another mistake).
Coming to Nandini, I feel she doesnt share a very cordial relationship with her parents. She isnt open about her life to her mom. She is shit scared of her dad....they all think twice before speaking to him. Bhabhima doesnt even know her daughter loves poetry and writes a column for a magazine. What is the problem in telling everybody the truth? Isnt she betraying her family's trust? Akshara also broke the family trust but she is just 2 months into the family. Nandini has lived all her life in that house with her parents.
Mohit is an idiot. None of his actions can be justified...period.
