Within a month of going on air, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlaata Hai has climbed to the number 2 position on Star Plus. The show premiered on January 5th and the stars of the show are ecstatic with their performance.
"It feels great! And especially when it's your first show, it feels really amazing. We've been getting overwhelming responses," exclaims Hina Khan who plays the lead actress in the show.
"I guess the fact that there is no negative character in our show is working for us," says Hina, "There are many things actually. The way it is presented is being appreciated by the viewers. Apart from that, Lata and Sanjeev are the USPs of our show. I've toh just stepped into the industry; they help me out in every way."
Producer Rajan Shahi says he has many people to thank for the victory of his show. He says, "Yeh Rishta is a simple story set in a lavish background. I think the way small moments have been captured and presented in the show has what has worked. In addition to this, the way it is written by Rajita Sharma and directed (Romesh) is really appreciable!"
But keeping his team in mind, Shahi adds, "A good team makes a good show! I am blessed to have a wonderful team which includes all the technicians, actors and everyone associated. It is their positive energies and positive attitude which has worked and will work in future too and above all, I truly believe that it is by God's grace!"
Lead actress Hina feels that the concept of ladies communicating through songs has also played a vital role and will continue in future too. "People really like when they hear the stars singing in their own voice and I guess this is the first show wherein they are seeing something like this. In the future too, they will get to see many such songs like this and perhaps many twist too," she says.
"Unlike other shows, Yeh Rishta will not have any such twists and turns. It is like a book wherein each chapter opens up with every episode in a very unpredictable way. In the coming episodes too, the show will come up with some beautiful moments presented in a unique manner," Shahi adds.
