I don't know what Anushka's family has against Prabhakar but they need to chill out. Especially yeh Karthik, like please calm down you've no reason to be up in arms when you're the irresponsible one. We know her brothers are manipulative and selfish, it seems they get it from their own mother. The reason Anushka is who she is, is because of her closeness with KK and the Sinhas. Her morality is clear and strong.
Sidhanth and Anushka find themselves running into each other quite often eh? Sidhanth and Anushka's brother discuss his upcoming court case and while this is happening Sidhanth is watching Anushka. Sidhanth's reasoning for helping Anushka's brother is that he has had a long relationship with Reddy corporations, of which some relationships he needs to fulfill and others that he needs to
show. I wonder if Anushka falls into both those categories.
While her brother tries to understand Sidhanth's confidence, Mr. Sid Sinha has eyes only for Anushka. š Aankhein nahin thakh thi kya Sidhanth? š Just as he's about to leave he can't help but challenge Anushka in the playing field. His own frustrations about needing to show her he's better than she thinks he is come out in full force, and he accidentally hits her arm with the birdie. This stops his own play as he remembers all the times he's protected her. This time it seems he's protecting her from himself.
Anushka and Sidhanth have a faceoff and she tells him her brother is innocent and to please do his best. It starts a yelling match and she tells him he'll hurt anyone to get what he needs, a direct jab at him having hurt her during their little badminton match. Sidhanth accuses of her thinking she knows him so well when in reality he claims that's not true. As he loses himself in thoughts of their arguments he inadvertently ends up hurting his own arm where he hit Anushka. It seems hurting her only ends up hurting himself. They're so intertwined even the universe seems to tell Sidhanth to knock it off š. Choth Anushka ko paunchayee aur khudh ko choth lag gayi, yeh hai pyar ka insaaf š.
Prabhakar loves his son. It is so ridiculously clear. He has a picture of Sidhanth on his desk that he wipes clean if it so much has dust fall on it. He muses to his wife how Sidhanth spoke without hesitation to him today and 'baap bete waali feeling aayi'. His soft smile, his relieved voice, he wants the best for him even though his way of doing so is a little different. He wants Sidhanth to choose the honest and right path to success, not to be manipulative and hungry for success but blind to everything else. Prabhakar knows better than anyone as a seasoned lawyer, how the world of justice and the legal system works. It is easy to lose your own moral ground in an effort to pursue high ambitions. He wants Sidhanth to be able to live with himself and the only way to do so is to ensure Sidhanth continues to pursue honesty above all. Kudos to Prabhakar for being so invested in Sidhanth's wellbeing. He also knows how kids can go astray, he sees it in KK's two sons so obviously, and he wants Sidhanth to avoid the lives those boys lead. He wants Sidhanth to be so ridiculously happy and in his words he wants his son to be able to say that he would live his life over and over. š
Sidhanth finds himself alone in his room thinking of Anushka's hurt arm. Anushka, on the other hand, is thinking of the same. They both tend to their respective wounds. Yet Anushka can't understand how Sidhanth could have hurt her when he is the one responsible for her wound. Sidhanth though proclaims he hopes he hasn't hurt her too much. I think this scene could have been more fleshed out but it was the end of the episode.
Overall a good episode, I mean any episode with Sidhanth and Anushka at each other's throats is a good episode. Sidhanth is resolved to prove Anushka and his own father wrong, but this resolve stems from a very clear place of hurt. I spoke in my last post about Sidhanth wanting the people around him to have faith in him, where his father does have immense faith he's afraid of losing his son to blind success. Anushka however, it seems with each passing episode she understands Sidhanth less and less, and her own foundation for him is shaking. Which is why when Sidhanth pleas that he will do anything to help her brother win, even if it means losing a part of himself, it doesn't matter. I wish Sidhanth was self-aware enough to realize it's not success he's running after, it's Anushka and his father's admiration and respect. It seems Anushka's words though, motivate him to do the most, to succeed the most.
When will these two crazy kids sit down and actually have a conversation about their past and it's marring their present? Fools š
