•| Rise of Ayanah
"Let him go and in return, I would do what pleases you. This man, who married me, does anyway think that the sole purpose of my life has been to entice men so be it."
Aman Junaid Khan froze on his place upon hearing his wife of one month, who stood between him and the Jinn, then, cracking a deal with the Jinn to get Aman off his shadow, for the rest of his life.
"Who do you think I am and what do you think that you are doing? This is no sale with an exchange offer that you are willing to replace him. His father promised him to me and I'll take him along with me." The Jinn's deep voice echoed through the Hall of Khan Mansion and caused Aman's mother to begin weeping hysterically.
The Jinn had finally set himself free and was ready to take the one who was his. The night was his night. He had been able to control the powers that he had given to Aman years ago and that meant, there was hardly anything that could restrict him from taking Aman with him.
"Allah knows best but itna toh Roshni also knows that there is no sale going on here and even if there was one, taking this man would have been the worst choice to make. What does he even have?" Roshni's eyes softly turned to the man, behind her. "Apart from cute eyes."
Catching the amalgam of pain and affection in her eyes made Aman avert his gaze from her. It was tough, not to fall for those eyes that screamed honesty but his eyes, had also witnessed a lot of things that would never let him trust that her heart was actually of an angel.
The Jinn's patience was seeing its end. "You have always stood between us. Had it not been you, I would have got him long back. You have suffered all your life for no fault of yours, and that is the only reason, I let you go despite creating troubles for me. I will let you go and you'll let him go."
The smoke surrounding the huge creature who looked terrifying with those blood shot eyes staring down at her did nothing to shake Roshni's determination. Her face acquired not a slightest of terror that anyone in her place might have.
"Allah knows best. Roshni will never give away anyone to save herself."
Aman, who had been quiet throughout the conversation that his wife was seemingly leading, gripped her wrist and pulled him behind her, revealing himself to the Jinn. It happened almost within a blink of an eye that Roshni landed on the floor due to the rough pull by Aman, the Jinn began circling Aman's body, and both, Aman and the Jinn commenced disappearing which left Roshni in horror.
She immediately lifted her hand and grabbed Aman's, as tightly as she could and the moment, she touched him, the Jinn was furiously pushed away and Aman's body began restoring.
Aman gazed at her, and perhaps, he would have a hard time in denying, that in that particular moment - he felt - she was his and he, hers. The concern that he came across in those eyes that day couldn't be deception. She had put in, her entire strength, to protect him from the Jinn.
A tear escaped her eye and he slowly pulled up his hand that was still in her hold. His palm rested on her cheek as he pressed his thumb to wipe her tear. The corners of her mouth that were twitching upwards, fell back instantly as she watched the Jinn hovering over them. He hauled Aman and vanished in the air with him, leaving behind the miserable Khan family who could do nothing but stand and see their Aman going far from them... so far that perhaps that it was the last time. His last moments with him and Roshni - she could think of nothing except crawl to her room, where she sank to the floor.
There shall come a day, when you would see yourself defeated but you can't accept the defeat. You have to rise on your feet, fight off anything and everything and fulfill the purpose of your life. You are extraordinary and that brings you the responsibilities, you must never run from for being Ayanah isn't just your identity but a necessity for some people to stay alive. You are the chosen one and you'll have to prove it time and again that you aren't going to let down the ones who have chosen you.
The words reverberated in her ears until she grabbed a hold on her emotional self and prepared herself for the perilous journey - the perilous journey of bringing back, Aman Junaid Khan!
