This is Naina's story. Sameer is a part of that story. There is too much feel good element in the story. In the end Sameer might die.

I know of at least ten people who have eloped in this decade. I haven't conducted research on the prevalence but its still happening. More or less than before I don't know.

This is Naina Aggarwal's story, all other characters come and go as a part of her story.
Serial begins with her narration, she is talking about herself, her success and her life. In the first episode itself it becomes clear this is Naina's story. Sameer Maheshwari might be a big part of her life but that does not make it his story.
Well, they run the ticker that this is a completely fictional story, so I don't know about it being a true story.

This is Samaina story which Sameer and Naina are narrating to the viewers.
Serial begins with her narration but later Sameer to joins to narrate his part of story.

They start with Naina because they could have started with only one

So from today's episode we learn that the age of consent / maturity is 21. As both are under 21, there may be a problem. How will the court see Naina asking Sameer to do something as she doesn't want to marry Sharad. Will the court see this as he was forced?

i think naina turned 18 when sameer was already 18 as he started driving as shown in the episodes so im assuming sameer is 21 in current episodes and naina might be turning 21 soon ...so i think they might be fine but the problem is that they need a witness or something in order for marriage to occur...

In the episode last night Soumani said that Sameer was not yet 21. So that's why they should register the FIR before Naina's family accuse him of kidnapping her.

The marriageable age for girls I think was 18 and boys 21. So if they had married, which is what the term elopement really is, then it would be illegal for Sameer, but not for Naina. As I mentioned some days back I think Sameer is about 3 -4 months from becoming 21, and Naina probably just turned 20.

It's not the consent age it's about marriage age. The legal age for boys is 21 and girls is 18. Since Sameer is not 21 he can't say that they are out for marriage
