Me too remember it very well. I was in my late teans by early 90s. First TV that we got was a Black and White one. First serial that I remember is Buniyaad telecasted in DD. Those waiting for Rangoli and Chitrahaar. We don't mind watching any language movie. After that started borrowing VCR and cassettes. Later same like Preethi me and my sister were behind our father to buy one. Later came the time of cable TV. I haven't got a chance to experience from there on because by that time got married and came to a new country. Those days were so simple and happy. For me watching YUDKBH is like revisiting those good old days. Thanks SSP for giving us such a beautiful show which is helping a lot of us to relive our own young life.

So true Toshi ,those days were absolutely fantastic

I was born in 70's , and we lived in a colony...all independent bungalows
One person bought tv for the first time in 1980
That tym movies were telecast only on Sat/ sun at 7 pm

Poor guys ,they used to put the TV in the verandah and full colony ppl used to watch it together ...elders on few chairs provided and all kids on mats on the floor

Wonderful feeling
Feel awful that we lost those days

Cable tv was first put in my house in 1991 ,after a lot of cajoling ...
Zee tv was the first channel to air

Kya memories❤️

we still have the long straight support aluminium stick to host the antenna...I remember ours was one of the longest one...and the way it used to dangle during monsoons...disturbing our view to the programs telecasted...there were times the wind used to change the antenna's direction and it used to be a task to get somebody climbing up the terrace and the top floor to correct it!!

Yes I remember the antenna. It was put on our terrace. The pole on which the antenna was stuck was also one of the poles with the cloth drying rope tied. So most of the days the angle used to change when we used to take the clothes from the rope. 😆 My sister used to be the one who will check the tv and I was the one who turned the antenna in the terrace. Nostalgic.😊

Count me in. I've seen that transition too. Born in 90's and experienced the whole transition from antenna to the very new version of tv experience. Me and my siblings enjoyed watching Shaktiman , Aryaman , Heeman kind of shows. I still remember GEETHA VIHWAS our own vishakha.🤗 Such a beautiful period it was. I love cartoons and dont mind to watch nowadays too.😉

I recently watched first few episodes of YUDKBH and loved it.. co-incidentally, Sameer -Naina have been shown in the same batch as me.. so it was like an instant connect to watch and could relate so well.. dresses especially.. and yes in those times, we use to be friends with boys , but having a relationship was not even thought off.. My father being very strict and wanted me to focus on studies.. I had watched only one movie QSQT during 10th and MPK in my 11th, 12th never watched any movie... I haven't watched the whole series yet.. But its so relatable...

We had the first B&W TV right after Indira Gandhi died.. so have seen it all , transitioning to color TV and then we got cable in mid 90's .. But.. moved to US...in 97 . so whenever visited India.. saw a drastic change every time... But growing up in those days..I am able to relive through this show.. .

Loved it when they were trying to watch the game.. by moving the antenna.. so nostalgic for me.. My teenage son peaked in to see what I was watching on my ipad.. and he was like what.. I had to tell him how we use to move the antenna.. especially when Mahabharata was being aired on sunday.. all the streets use to be empty...you could not find a rickshaw.. if you had to go somewhere...
