A very unconventional way of airing your views indeed! 😊 Impressed!
On a personal note, I wouldn't mind if Sameer looks like Salman or a Yogi or even a Hippie, if the story demands. To me, looks should add conviction to the plot/timeline of the story. It shouldn't be the driving factor. But I do accept the fact that there are people who love his hair as much as him.
First few tens of episodes of this show was meant for establishing things. There had been a deliberate attempt to emphasise things like Sameer's good looks, Naina's nerd nature etc. At that point, the highlight on Sameer's hair too was effortless. The relevance it had in the bet too was hence acceptable. But towards the end of the bet phase itself, Sameer had changed. He himself had reached a phase where he was ready to lose the bet and hair for the sake of saving Naina from a major heartbreak. And now toh they're in a committed relationship. Sameer,Naina and the story too has moved beyond superficial things.
I just hope that the Dadi cutting hair incident is to prove, or make way for something worthwhile. And not a forced attempt to simply garner sentiments or exaggerate the obvious.
I had been wondering why this pandemonium/chaos and escalation for the haircut from the team's side. I came up with an answer that probably they themselves wanted to release the look first, giving it an 'official' appeal. They are way ahead in shooting, and it's probably impossible to keep the looks under wraps for offscreen pics/ spoilers keep surfacing all the time.
Must have had a thought, when it is sure to create a wave, why not grab the surfboard and ride on it??
Anyway if it eased things out for people, or if it would put unwanted tension/speculations to rest, well and good for all. But if this turns out to be a massive goof up, I'd be left with one question.
"What was the point even? "
