Afterall the character is the same, even if the appearance changes. I really hope CVs don't disappoint me here as they've let us down in the past few months with increasing bloopers, ekta style hits n misses.

An extremely well written post! Wonderful explanation about the looks and how we as humans are obsessed with it in spite of the fact that it would go away when we are halfway reaching the age of 100 (in general expectancy!).

Considering the show, I only don't like the reason of getting Sameer's hair chopped off because if the long hairs are a problem then the same goes for females in the show too (provided the spoilers are true!). Otherwise as a character Sameer has to evolve gradually and such outer beauty cannot be something that creatives should portray as per mu opinion!

P.S. As you mentioned, no offence to the actor playing Sameer.

Agreed, I am sure he will look nice...we have seen him in short hair too..besides he is blessed with nice features...so I guess, short hair will look fine..
