A very interesting take here Minu...totally agree with it in the literary context. But I personally beg to differ on the matter of Sameer's hair. I really wanted him to keep that look (noy because he's handsome in it or something...I actually found Arjun extremely handsome n was surprised that Sameer was the lead n not him). I say this because, Sameer in his flowing zulfein reminds me of Naina's first love...the promos, the first meet cute...overall, the Salman of 90s...the feel of 90s that I've come to relate a lot to now...this show has grown upon me like none other. I've seen Sameer evolve from an arrogant, carefree hot headed guy to the mature lover he is today. And when I think about Sameer- that is the image which flashes in front of my eyes. Personally, I like Randeep better in short hairs...he looks quite stunning in them too...but somehow the feel of the old world charm n the school romance is lost for me with the anticipated new look...however, let's see how the makers show it...I might end up falling in love with the new look of Sameer too. Afterall the character is the same, even if the appearance changes. I really hope CVs don't disappoint me here as they've let us down in the past few months with increasing bloopers, ekta style hits n misses.

The thing is Minu...for people , when they think of Sameer what comes to their mind is the hair!! So its a major attribute of the character and that is why they feel bad when its going to be chopped .

Very well said Minu! One has to look at the bigger picture and in context.. the story is always a winner and it cannot move forward unless the dynamics in characters change or grow..

Sameer's hair has been highlighted from the pre bet and bet phase so much, that it has become an integral part of his character. ..what I hope the makers use the hair again as a part of story telling vs just keeping it as simple look change for the impeding phase change!
