Guys i need more hits and comments :) Need motivation to write as I don't feel like doing anything lately :)
Here it goes
Part 5
There were many moments where both of them talked through the eyes but, Naina did not ever get to do what Sameer was requesting her to do. She couldn't say the 3 magical words.
Sameer on the other hand was getting impatient but at the same time he was enjoying this phase of his life. He did not ever think that a girl could be affected by him in such a way the Naina was affected just by his glance.
For Naina it was all new a feeling. A girl who was even afraid to talk to guy was not being affected so much so that she was finding it hard to maintain eye contact with him. Everytime he looked in her eyes or looked at her, she felt shivers down her spine.
Today was a special day in school. As today was Bal divas (children's day). All children were permitted to wear whatever they desired to wear. Sameer mostly saw Naina in school outfits. For him it was a treat to watch her in a whole new different look in school setting.
Sameer dressed up in a yellow shirt and black jeans, and also put on his aviators. He was desperately waiting for Naina to appear so he could see her in her new avatar. Naina as usual arrived with Preeti and Swathi on her bicycles. Sameer was busy talking to M & P. Suddenly his gaze fell on the beauty in front of him and he completely forgot where he was or with whom he was talking to do. He just kept starring at Naina coming on her bike.
Naina was approaching, her hair was left open, she was wearing a beautiful light yellow dress with matching yellow duppata and matching earrings. Her hair and Dupatta were flying in the air. Sameer couldn't take her eyes off of her.
She passed Sameer with her bike, and went to park the bicycles with Preeti and Swathi. Meanwhile. Sameer was just left there dumbstruck just starring in the direction of the entrance. M&P noticed, and snapped there fingers in front of him, and Sameer jerked out of his dream land.
M&P: are bhai Sameer, woh chali gayi
Sameer: haan haan, theek hai theek hai (and Sameer gave his cute smile)
Bell rang and all went to the classroom. Sameer just kept starring at Naina. He couldn't focus in class at all today.
Next period started. It was the drama period.
Sir: hello everyone, as you know aaj baal divas hai
kids: ji sir
Sir: toh aaj hum ek naya drama shooru karte hain, kya khayal hai aapka?
Sameer was starring at Naina, she was not paying attention.
Sir: Sameer, kahaan dhyaan hai tumhara?
Sameer: oh woh sir, actually, if you don't mind mein ek suggestion doon?
Sir: are waah, aaj toh Sameer Maheshwariji suggestion denge...wonderful...so tell me, kya suggestion hai?
Sameer: sir kya hum, laila majnu ka scene ya drama kar sakte hain?
sir: are waah sameer, mere dimaag mein toh aaya hi nahin...
Sameer: ji sir, woh actually sir, hum hindustani haina...toh sir meine socha romeo aur juliet toh sab karte honge...kyona hum laila majnu karein...hamare desh ki love story...we are proud Indians na sir...
Sir: wah sameer, I am proud of you...ofcourse we are all proud indians...toh ab tey raha, aaj hum laila majnu ka scene karenge...
everyone started clapping...
sir: accha toh bacho yeh batao ki majnu kon banega tum sab mein se?
M&P (winked at Sameer): sir hum bateyein...hamara Sameer ek dam hero jaisa dikhta hai, kyon na hum isko hi majnu banaye?
Sir: wonderful idea, toh sameer tey raha tum banoge majnu
everyone clapped, and sameer smiled...
sir: ab laila kon banega?...any suggestions guys?
Swathi (gave a wink to sameer and put her hand up)
Sir: haan swathi bolo, tum banogi kya laila?
Swathi: no sir, actually i was going to suggest ki kyon na hum Naina ko Laila banade...woh class topper bhi hai, aur usne laila majnu padhi bhi hai...usko sab dialogues yaad honge...aur itne chote time mein kon itna sabkooch yaad kar payega
Sir: excellent Swathi...very good suggestion...toh Naina banegi Laila
Naina was shocked, and got up in nervousness..
Naina: no sir, please
Sir: kyon Naina tum yeh scene kyon nahin karna chahti?
Naina: woh sir, woh (all nervous) unable to speak her mind...unable to say that she can't face Sameer...woh sir
Sir: Naina yeh woh kooch nahin...bas meine kaha ki tum laila banogi toh tum banogi...
Naina: par woh sirrr
Sir: bas naina bahot ho gya par var...now sit down...
Naina set down all nervous...and sameer looked towards her and gave a coy smile...
Accha toh ab decide karo ki konsa scene karenge?
Sameer (again put his hand up): sir woh scene jahaan laila aur majnu ek dusre ko apne pyaar ka izhaar karte hain dream mein...woh jismein majnu imagine karta hai laila ko...
Sir: brilliant Sameer, i must say today you are on a roll...wonderful...hum yehi scene karte hain...
Chalo everyone spread out and take over your duties...swathi aap stage set karo for the scene...M&P aap dono lights ko control karo, mood create karne ke liye...baki sab someone get the light switch...and rest of you sit in the audience, and one of you from the back, please close all the doors so no one can disturb the scene...Everyone started rushing and took over their duties...
(NOte: guys i have never seen laila majnu so I don't know the real story but, I am gonna give you my version of it hahahah, don't kill me)
All doors and windows were shut so no lights could come into the room. All the lights were dimmed. There were white flowing dupattas were placed surrounding the stage as if people were looking through those see through dupattas into the world of Majnu's dreamland. Sameer was dressed in Majnu's outfit, and Naina just stayed with what she was wearing as that resembled current day Laila.
Sir told all to quiet down. There was absolute silence in the classroom. With only two figures visible under the spotlight. One of sameer and other of Naina.
Sameer: sir before you say action, is it ok to improvise as we go
sir: ofcourse Sameer but, remember not to lose the essence of the scene.
Sameer: ofcourse sir, thank you...
Little did the sir or Naina know what was cooking in his mind.
Scene: Just imagine them being Laila and Majnu here as I am going to refer to them as Sameer and Naina to keep the flow of the story.
Sameer (Majnu) was waiting at the garden for Naina (Laila) (spotlight was on him). Naina came in walking slowly into the garden (second spot light on to her). Sameer just kept starring at her, mesmerized by her beauty. He couldn't take his eyes off of her while she was slowly approaching him looking down at the floor, her fingers playing with the end of her dupatta. Naina stopped just few steps away from him.
Naina (in nervousness looking at the floor): bolo aap ne humhe kyon bulaya
Sameer (starring at her face, slightly banding down to look her in the eye): kyon??? mein agar bulata nahin toh tum aati nahin?
Naina (sighs): aisi koi baat nahin hai, aap batao isse pehle ki mere bhai mujhe dhoondne ko puri duniya bhej de...
Sameer (turned away from her, in character): itna hi dar tha toh aayi kyon?
Naina (in frustration): theek hai chali jati hoon (and turns to leave)
Sameer (quickly turns, Naina's back facing him, grabbed on to her dupatta, Naina jerked back a little as he grabbed both sides of her dupatta from the back, and she held on to the dupatta from her neck): jab jane dunga tab toh jaoge...
Naina: majnu mujhe jaane de, der ho jayegi
sameer: nahin jane dunga
Naina: dekh majnu bhai aajayenge
Sameer (held her shoulder from one side, and turned her around to face him while letting go off her dupatta): toh aane de
Naina: majnu mujhe jane de, dekh badnami ho jayegi...log kya sochenge
Sameer (lifting her chin up with his finger, trying to get her to look up): logo ki mujhe pervaah nahin, ishq kiya hai meine koi gunaah nahin...
Naina: majnu tu mujhe yun rusva naa kar, jag dekh lega tu yeh gunnah na kar...
Naina tried to leave by turning away from him, but he grabbed her arm very hard and pulled her towards him...grabbing and twisting her arm to her back, and pulling her towards his body...trying to make her to look up...
Naina didn't expect Sameer to do that. She very well knew that this was not required for the script. She knew that Sameer had taken over Majnu. But there was nothing she could do as they were in front of the class. She felt so nervous, so shy...it was difficult for her to face him as it was, and now she was trapped in his arms, and there was nothing she could do to get out...
Sameer: ek baar nazar uthake toh dekhle Laila...
Naina: nahin dekhungi jab tak tum mujhe chod nahin dete...
Sameer twisted her arm a little more, and pulled her further into his body. That made her wince in pain and she looked up at him...
Both of their eyes met. He couldn't take his eyes away from hers, and she was so frozen that she didn't have strength to move. They kept starring at each other. Both of their faces just inches away from each other...
He slowly brought his face towards her ear.
Sameer (whispered): mein janta hoon, ki tum janti ho ki yeh mein hoon koi majnu nahin...aaj mauka hai Naina, Laila banke hi sahi, ek baar woh teen shabd boldo... (and he again looked at her face)
Sameer (as Majnu): Laila, aaj toh tujhe kehne hi hogi tere dil ki baat...aise nahin jane dunga tujhe
Naina (all nervous and blushing with close proximity): majnu mujhe jaane de, dekh kitna andhera hogya hai...maa bhi aajayegi ab toh...jane de
Sameer: jaane dunga, par pehle meri baat sunti jaa aur meri baat ka jawab deti jaah...
Naina (sighed as it was getting very intense there): mujhe jane do (made a pleading face)
Sameer (in frustration a little): theek hai, agar tum nahin keh paa rahi toh mein tujhe keh deta hoon...Laila meinnn...Laila meinnn...
Naina: bas karo, aage kooch mat bolna, and she put her hand on his lips...
Sameer (kissed her hand and she looked away from him, and pulled her hand down): aaj mujhe bolne do...
Sameer: (whispered Naina in such a way that only she heard her name) mein tumse bahot mahobbat karta hoon...itni ki tumhare liye mein is duniya se bhi lad jaun...itni ki jab tumhe dekhta hoon toh sab bhool jata hoon, jab tum mere pass hoti ho toh koi aur dikhai hi nahin deta...meri har saans mein bas tumhara naam hai...aur mein tumse beintehaa mohabbat karta hoon...
Sameer while he was saying all this held her so tightly by both hands...But it felt like she was not in her senses as she didn't feel any pain..she just blushed and closed her eyes, her face facing down at the floor away from him...
Sameer: dekho meri taraf laila, ek baar dekhlo...
she slowly opened her eyes and looked towards him...they both shared an eye lock...
there was a song playing in the background:
laila ne kahaa joh majnu se
wohi tujhse, wohi mujhse kehde tu,
i love you, i love you...
sameer: mein tum se bahot pyaar karta hoon Laila...kya tum kooch nahin kahogi...(sameer was just looking through to her with his gaze)
Naina nodded in a no
sameer squeezed her hands
She winced in pain...
Naina: jane do mujhe, mujhe dard ho raha hain...
Sameer: nahin jane dunga
Naina: jane do
Sameer: nahin jane dunga, aaj toh bulvaa kar hi rahunga
Naina: mujhe dard ho raha hai
Sameer: hone do
Naina: mujhe nahin hoga
Sameer: ek baar koshish toh karo
Naina: mein...meinnn...
Sameer: mein kya?
Naina: mein tumse...
Sameer: mein tumse kya?
Naina: mein tumse, and she pushed him away...and he tumbled backwards, while Naina ran from there off the stage...
Everyone clapped like crazy...And Sameer came back to his senses...if it was not for everyone, she would have admitted her feeling today...
Teacher clapped and gave both of them pat in the back.
Very good Naina and Sameer...mujhe aisa lag raha tha jaise asli ke Laila, majnu idhar aagaye ho...wonderful excellent...Sameer looked in Naina's direction...
she was smiling but, he noticed she was rubbing her arms where he had grabbed her...it had left pink finger prints on her arms...He understood that she was in pain...
The bell rang, but before anyone could congratulate Sameer he left from the classroom...
