Hi Jes... I'm Manisha...thanks for reminding me that i gotta reply to so many people here😛
It completely slipped out of my mind😆

I agree with each and every word. For me, Naina has not fallen in love yet.😳 Hope I won't get tamatars for this.😆 Naina is a teenage girl who had her big fat crush when Sameer entered school. That's it. Not one ounce more than this. She did all the things which could help her to reach his vicinity. But when actually she saw her family may get the heat, she chose to dump him and support her liar brother. And right now, she is having the tough phase every teenage girl at least goes once where her heart broken by her pehla pyaaar i.e her crush.😆 Love has a long way to knock at Naina's heart. When she will actually fall for him,she would be able to see beyond her own set rules of selfishness. Also as a teenage girl, this is expected from her only. I am not saying she is right,I am one of them who can't swallow her keeping mum over several events.

yeah you are so right Jes... even i feel that when she realises her love and that love is much more than me myself... its about how to deal with all the different relationships around you😊
She too needs to mature as a person and im sure...she would😃

But if we talk of Sameer, he has fallen head over heels in love with her. I can say it beyond a shadow of doubt cause he loved her inner soul, not her outer beauty. Naina has a very pure soul, for which he has fallen. but she is not mature. Even VO's too indicate this only. Naina's VO portrays more of teenage stuff but Sameer's VO is very much mature for his age.

Yeah Sameer has faced everything on him and now he is in a total mess and he is expected to rectify so many things which are difficult for a teenager...im glad Nanu is there with him to guide him😊

And honestly I can relate with Naina, as teenagers we all have that particular phase where we do anything to satisfy our weird fantasy about love, but thats not the true phrase of love. It starts after this. Because love with fantasy never lasts,it needs practical commitments. I am happy Naina's heart is broken so that she can become mature now and fathom the practical needs of love.

Im waiting for that phase to come soon

Hello Manisha🤗 Oh it looks like so😆 you are welcome😉

Yes teenage love is very selfish I know myself.😆 During that time only you and your fantasy matter. So for me,it's not love. It can be said infatuation, crush and other names but love as in ishq is very different in this sense. The passion and depth is not present in Naina's fantasy till now. Hopefully she will achieve it one day

Yes I want Sameer to overcome all of this and rectify his mistakes and even maker her fall for him in true senses, not just for the outer shell of him. 😳

Every individuals character formation depends on the upbringing and the environment in which he or she is brought up. If you see Naina as a child , she has every one except her mom. But these people whom she calls as family do they give her the affection that she needs??

-Her dad ,we know is biased to her brother. He likes her but has an archaic approach to girl child.
-Her Chacha , loves her but he has his limitations as he is not her primary guardian
-Her Chachi, loves her ..tries her level best to treat her like her own but not exactly the same. When it comes to spending for Naina you can clearly see she has her reservation.
-Tauji not a very expressive person. A total patriarch . Cant expect much from him
-Tayiji, for her Naina is a burden to the family. She has very openly said that Naina is not lucky as her birth took her mother away from the family.
-Then the siblings. Very affectionate to each other but do they stand up as a team ?? . NOPE.
Example: Preethi got caught changing the marks , she blamed Niana.
Arjun was the one who stole the key , he didn't even tell the truth when he saw his sister being pulled into the mess. A smart brother would keep his sister away from problems involving other guys.
Pralay , is the dear one of the family primarily because of Tayiji. He gets away with anything.

So this is her house. Now tell me how would this child learn to survive in such a household?? Imagine from the age of 2 years till the current age how she would have managed. She as an individual has likes and dislikes. Do you think that was completely taken care? Lack of her mother has played a huge part in her character formation. Even after having a dad , she lives with her chacha chachi. Basically this girl is living out of others mercy!! But the smart one understood a basic rule be good and others will be good to you. Will appreciate you. Study well and be perfect you will get noticed.

Don't tell lie but you can definitely manipulate to survive the situation is her mantra!! This can be understood , when she tells Preethi that if she plans to cheat by changing the marks atleast use a pen that is similar to that of teachers. She doesn't want to harm any one but she is cautious that she survives and she gets her pie of happiness

When it comes to a choice of your loved one against someone else you would choose your loved one. That is can also be called prioritization. Example : You have to go for a movie with your husband but then you get a call from your house saying one of your relatives not well. You choose to meet someone sick over movie. Does that mean love for husband is less. Now when we look from husband's POV , he took leave /came early from office spent time and money to be with his wife..but she cant make it..so would you call it wife being selfish?? Wife will expect her husband to understand the situation...understanding is also another attribute of a relationship.

Naina not choosing to tell about Arjun is because she prioritized her fathers pride above all. She did tell Sameer that she knows he hasn't stolen the paper. She also expects Sameer to understand her silence abt this topic ...but will have to see how Sameer would take it.

Naina not telling Preethi about her affection for Sameer. Its obvious , she is scared if family comes to know then things will be blown out . Considering the orthodox nature and the approach that they have to concept of love , she very well knows it will backfire. Preethi many a times have given away when under pressure. Be it the yellow Saree she got for Pooja or changing Marks on mark sheet.

She wanted to keep that feeling of being loved and cared close to her heart and enjoy the moment. She was feeling loved and she was feeling that Sameer is all for her and no one else.

Regarding Swathi , her wanting to play Juliet was pure womanly Jealousy rather than being selfish. She couldn't see him with anyone else. To top it all she knew that Sameer didn't love Swathi. She wanted him all to herself , to such an extant she was willing to take the role of a "Sepahi !!

Decisions that she took till date , she considered her happiness but she never thought it would backfire on others to such an extant. One thing about Naina is , she has solution for all her problems , but these solutions are more temporary in nature . She just wants to solve and move on. Never thinks about its affect in the long run. Which she will eventually learn. That's one learning she will do soon. .
She needs to survive in a family that is purely archaic in thoughts and very orthodox, she has the right to be happy . For once she chose her happiness above others by allowing her heart to wander around this happy go lucky handsome boy. Somewhere deep down in her heart she wanted to live his life. She fell not just for his looks but also for his I don't care attitude. He was getting all the attention in spite of not being perfect like her. So you see the contrast?? Naina is a teenager not an adult . She has lots of learning to do and am sure she will turn out to be a smart and intelligent woman.

We all need to understand , that being selfish is a part of being alive. Every living being has a grey shade of selfishness. It is required to survive , to face challenges and get what you want in life. But having said that one needs to understand ,the extant of grey in the selfish act is what makes or breaks a situation. It also defines mental strength of an individual.

Keeping the above lines in mind , the question you need to ask is
"Why should Naina be sorry for wanting what she thinks she deserves and not being afraid of walking away to get it ??
"Does she have it in her to get the right balance so that her selfish act doesnt harm her loved ones..that includes Sameer too??!!"

I love you yaar. I love you I love you I love!
From morning I was feeling to write. I am actually having headache just because I couldn't reply now. In fact this was the post I actually wanted to reply earlier too. And today when I saw this post on page 1, I thought I'll go home draft my reply and then post my comment.
It is not that I am against this Post (Manisha it is very well observed) But somehow my opinions were different.
Ashu( correct me if I m wrong) you actually echo my voice. Still I will draft my reply and will post in evening.

P.S. : Just My POV.

Glad you liked it...
@braveheartdoc brought out a very important point of Naina's character. We feel her acts are selfish, which is true...but its important to understand why a person behaves in that manner. This is what makes Naina's character so believable and so real. She is not typical heroin who will sacrifice everything just to look good. She has her shades of grey when it comes to her core needs and she tries to get it in most nicest manner...the thing about Naina is that until you study her closely you are not able to see the grey shade of selfishness and naughtiness...who ever wrote this character has done a wonderful job!!
